I've played through the game four or five times over the last couple of years, and it is still great. I like some of the control changes (especially combing and upgrading gems in towers), but for some reason this is still my favorite. I think it is the glowing frames on the levels :)

Great game. Some things to hope for: Once you beat game, an endless level, combining gems in towers, exclusive armorgames stuff. 5/5 :D

The last skill is way too OP. Once I unlocked it, everything became too easy, even the last levels, and that took over some challenge the game had before. But pretty good game overall!

This is non-demo: It just has a few features locked. It isn't like you can't finish the game or anything.
As far as I know, only ONE skill and some of the 'collectors' amulets are locked. This shouldn't have too much effect on gameplay.

If you've already finished the game on armorgames, TRANSFER YOUR FILE OVER FOR THE BADGES LATER!

My save never loads back up... even when i increased storage on the settings on computer -.- other than that awesome game just that I can't get to the last boss in one sitting =p

[Disrighthereismy] I see no new year's resolution for you to stop rating every single game ever a 1/5 and then writing a novel with the same tedious arguments. Too bad.

For an unknown reason, he summoned monsters to kill everyone, it should at least tell us why, even a generic reason would have been better then nothing.

Then call 15-20 waves & make sure to keep your hand pressed on the M key, because you WILL lag, and your gem WILL kill 5-10 monsters per hit, or so, making huge fast mana gains(because they're all clumped up, & the grade 9's splash range is quite big) You will feel like a GOD when every single wave together cannot pass your single-gem defense. :)

Sorry for spamming comments- Kong has a limit of 1000 characters per comment, & there's sadly no forum for this awesome game(I've completed both the others, just revisited this one in anticipation for Gemcraft 2) but anyway. The very best pure gem is get it, splash. Go to red hidden level if you don't believe me. Max out mid grade & high grade gem skills, along with the others that you normally put skill points into. All those starting gems combined(minus 1 grade 3 as said earlier) will give you a grade nine red. Place it 1-2 squares away from the path, preferably near a curve, because its range is great & you'd be remiss to waste that. Then, place water trenches on the path that is in your gem's range.

Remember this is the first game of the series that went into production, so its mechanics and balance is less perfect than in the other games. I'm spoiled by both GC0 and GCL already, so I really miss angering monsters for more XP :)

Personnally, i'd prefer being able to choose the color of my gems. I dislike not being able to choose my towers' special effects and I'm usually unlucky, so I rarely get the gems I want.

Better comprehensible version of my last, weird comment:
You can easily get glowing frames in all levels before the first epic one by maxing out your gem bomb enhancement skill and related abilities, summoning many waves at once and spamming low-grade gem bombs.
That jellyfish thing was just an obscure reference; I didn't criticise this game or anything.

If you play this right, "Armor" skill does you no good, as no monster will ever get banished. Including epic bosses. Just bomb the heck out of lower level monsters with gem bombs, up mana pool, get a grade 7 ANY gem, then combine it with lots of ANY grade 1 gems, this will then plow through anything and everything.

Hey, if you don't want to play it at armor games, try gemcraft0.com its the creators site. Has all the games, with none of the armor game limits. +1 for others to see.

I'm used to upgrading a gem while in a tower from a newer game, so it's annoying to have to take a gem out of a tower in order to combine it with another gem. Also the fact that gems are random makes it harder to get the correct ones.

@vnzolano94: 'hue' in this game refers to the color of your gem, or the critters attacking. It's the shade of their color, if you want.

Finally!
I'd say this is the best flash td out there. I hope there will be an impossible badge for taking all the amulets.
