In challenge 15, I maintained my 5 life all the way, but I was invulnerable and the opponent was dying from megalomania. He would already have died if he could die from taint. In true Necronomicon fashion, I didn't manage to draw anything that I could attack him with, but he attacked me twice in a row and I lost. Fffffuuuuu-

Whenever you go insane different things can happen: Xenophobia: Useless summoning cards, Agoraphobia: two card slots, Schizophrenia: Arcane and defense equal 0 at the end of your turns, Megalomania: Gives +2 Arcane and +4 Taint. You're best off being completely sane, I guess. :D INSANE IN DA MAEMBRAINSZ

As a note to the developer: I agree with what is said about randomness on challenges...if you do a sequel, perhaps you can provide 'puzzle' challenges as well as the various statloss challenges in which you have a set number of cards and they come out in the exact same order each time. There would be only two or three ways to beat your opponent before you ran out of cards/health so the challenge would be figuring out what cards he'll play and then memorizing when to counter or attack. Sorta like a card battle ballet. Another challenge could be the both of you having access to only certain cards, no overlap aside from maybe Yog. The challenge being if you need a card played you don't have like Dawn, you need to taint him enough to force him to play it. I'm sure there's a ton of extra things you could do with this system!

The fact is that it gives the computer the same advantages as you would get. THAT unbalances the scales, and causes it to have 50%+ more chance of winning.

I've always found Cthulhu and the other Old Ones to be such amazing, fascinating and majestic creatures, and have taken comfort and a feeling of safety to imagine myself captive in their embrace. ...Should I be worried?

Challenge 20 is so much more difficult and irritating than 21. 20 took many attempts, while I beat 21 first shot before I even figured out what was strange about it.

Almost redid challenge 15 but drew no attack spells haha. I had 29 arcane and 10 elder defense and invulnerable, but only 1 life.. and then of course, blast 'em XD

Medium achievement: "Deal 25 damage with a single attack, then finish the round and view the results"
I did 29 dmg, finished the round, viewed the results but didn´t get the achievement. And the dmg bar is stuck on 0. Oh well...

For all those who started the game like me thinking that there will be a tutorial or whatever and is lost, read the instructions to the right of this comment column. or the number on the bottom right of ur card is the cost of sanity to play

weird... i just came back to this game, and it seems i got the immposible badge, but i don't even remember how, or when, or why...... it seem's i've run out of sanity in doing so.....

@Legendari0 The Impossible badge isn't *that* bad. I love this game, but it does take a good few tries to get the right combos for the Impossible. It is doable, though, but I suggest you try it over a few days rather than go batshit crazy trying for it in one go :P

I love this game. I'm a huge fan of Lovecraft, and the ideas are well-implemented. Challenge mods are a pain, but some degree of unpredictability is good. I want more!

I will say this, however: there is MUCH room for improvement with the AI. Simple things, like: when afflicted with xenophobia, the AI should not try to summon creatures, but rather discard them. The AI should not play dispel if the player has nothing to dispel. The AI should not use doppelganger to copy the player's 0/0 power (unless it's to remove a powerful taint). A few simple AI rules to deal with a handful of specific situations would make the AI much more challenging.
