Organisms regenerate slowly, almost negligibly. Links, on the other hand, throw cells around VERY fast. If you set up links between your organisms, they will create free cells, at no cost to the host, and effectively regenerate the target faster. Getting a single high level organism with a link-cut, and then linking it back to multiple organisms can make those other organisms grow VERY fast. Unless it causes devolution, always keep all links up, whether attacking or boosting.
Cutting a link only transfers cells, leaving it up creates them.
A single predator can be linked to three organisms, and throws cells at them at a massive rate.... Which can easily result in three more predators, or at least one if you then link and cut them all to one of them.
A boost-link of equal level to an attack-link will nullify the effects of that attack, by providing cells at the same rate they are destroyed. This can let you ignore some attacks, while you build up your organisms.

Needs to have indicators for evolution/devolution.
Add a health-bar, with the left end being devolve point/zero, right being evolve point/limit. Would make it all more intuitive.

Loved the game and concept, but I think that some of the levels were a little too easy. In the first game, I remember being challenged more but regardless, the new ai is great, concept still fun; 5/5

19 is harder than 20 for all those posting. **** HELPFUL HINT **** for level 19, you cannot be passive at any moment. At the start I went for the empty cell above. Once you have it, use your new cell to get the two other free ones at the top, and use your original cell to attack bottom empty cell. if you can get the 5 empty cells, immediately use the three closest to attack the now red cell in the middle. If successful you will have a large number in the middle and will be able to suport which ever side red moves to. As I mentioned though, you cannot be passive for even 5 seconds as you will lose. Strategic cuts in your cells to capture and support almost fallen cells are imperative.

It seems that in previous times of playing this game I never read the tip to sever the link very close to my Microbe in order to get the "energy" to flow faster to my target. Well, that makes this game all the more easier!

Is it just me or are we not able to share our levels? I am able to go in the level editor and make my levels (so far I have made 2) and yet I'm unable to share them (game freezes). Could someone propose a solution? (Please don't downrate this comment, even if you don't have this problem)

Love this game, I really do. I will search it from memory after months of not playing it just to get my fix. Devs need to make a multiplayer version.

@Pinebugz same thing happens if you do two tentacles on an embryo and it goes to a spore, don't complain, it helps.
To the Devs, I love this game, another of those kind that I really enjoy playing, I'd love to see a Tentacle Wars 3, but that may be stretching it. either way, great work.

I find it not right how if you reach a B pulsar and have 3 tentacle available then you send them out but are reduced to an A pulsar you can keep your third tentacle which doesn't make sens and makes some levels unfair, just me?
