Ok, so from my experience playing this game, your microbes will evolve to the next level at 15, 40, 80, 120, and 160. They will devolve if they drop below 5, 30, 60, 100, and 140 respectively. So, for example, to get an embryo, you have to first get it above 15, then as long as you keep it above 5, it will stay an embryo. If you evolve your microbe, it will not reproduce faster, but its tentacle power will go up. Try not to overextend your tentacles or else you may devolve your microbe, making it weaker. If they attack you, if you don't attack back, they will continue to grow stronger while you lose power. Attack back if possible so you at least take down some of their numbers instead. I hope these tips help!

Super game! I would love to see some elaboration on this, more levels, perhaps a skilltree or upgrades of some sorts.

Ah, due to a missing tutorial about how tentacles work, most may find some levels difficult. Some tips: When you have a connecting tentacle it constantly sends units over it based on the size of the sending cell. This is not how you want to do it. Better way is rushing the neutral and enemy cells by establishing a tentacle and cutting it off - directly at the sending cell. So, all units of the tentacle will rush to the tailed cell. By rushing neutral cells you will get their contained bonus troops which will boost your strenght. You also can push your own cells to grow faster this way - higher class has increased production and sending speed.

I love games like this :D Addicting, too! It would be cool if we got a point to spend on upgrades after each level (Like spawning speed, strength, size, etc)

Simple Explanation for Level 10:
When you cut, units immediately flow from the cut to the recipient cell. Cut placement is very important for speeding up your game.
So if you make a tentacle and cut it near the host cell, the units will VERY QUICKLY flow into the cell you were attacking.
When you understand this principle your game will improve 10x.

Thanks to Sheltem. Although I didn't notice his advice until I had figured out how the tentacles work...I managed to get to level 10 and then was stuck, until I noticed by chance the way tentacles behaved. As Sheltem says, connect a tentacle, cut it right at the sending cell, and it sends all the units from the cut tentacle to the cell. The only way to complete later levels.

This game is awesome. I would like it if it had customisable stuff, like upgrades on stuff like production speed, or how far a single cell can reach and stuff.

Would be a great game if there was a tutorial that actually explained how the tentacles work. 4/5 without it, would be 5/5 with it.

The game has a fun, gradual difficultly curve. Until level ten. Then the curve goes out the window and smacks you in the face.

i liked all levels apart from lvl 17: i just wasn't quick enough on the frst 800 atempts, and level 19 i found realy difficult but regardless of dificulty the design and concept is great - nice eerie music to xD

I love this game... up until level 17 that is. It's not a strategic level like the rest. I didn't come here to play a game all about reaction times. Without a skip level button, I'm unable to access the last 3 levels :/ I was really looking forward to them. I'm rating this game a 4/5, partly because of level 17, but mostly because the AI could be worked on quite a bit. I love the general concept though, it's great! The gameplay is fantastic on the 16 successful levels I've played so far! Good work :D

Excellent, just hard enough to make the challenges fun and the concepts are easy enough to grasp quickly. Well made, in my opinion no additions are necessary, other than extra levels of course.

We all know, there are plenty of similar "Phage-Wars-Esque" games out there. But WOW! way to add a huge twist! The tentacles work perfectly, as does the slow increase up through the ranks of organisms.
The only problem i can see is that there is no explanation for the game mechanics. For instance: the moment your organism becomes an 'ANT', you can send out at least one tentacle and it remains an 'ANT'. Though this is a neat addition and saves you time and time again; why does it happen? It almost feels like a bug.
Great game in any case! ~At least!~ 4/5

I learned an AWESOME trick in this game!! You just need three cells, and attach them to eachother, then make sure that its not just one powering those two other cells, make sure that there powering eachother, and BOOM, you got a generator

Great Game, I love how you can network your cells together to quickly build them up while attacking. Good game mechanic right there.

I found out a small 'bug'... If you 'shoot' your tentacles at other cells, you 'push' them by a few pixels, doing this several times can get you further away or move you to different spots

So i was EXTREMELY frustrated with level 10, then i realized that if the tentacle is connected and you cut it at the base of the sending node it will push all the little guys into the opposing base instantly. This made lvl 10 a breeze. Please plus this to prevent others from giving up on this game like i almost did.

I really like the fact that Enemies actually fight with each other. Not team up and fight you most of the time like other games. Its very fun to watch them attack each other and leave you alone, props for this. :)

The Cutting Method:::
The place at which you cut a tentacle is accurate.
Scenario: Cell A is connected to Cell B. If you cut near Cell A, the majority of the tentacle is still connected to Cell B, and will add its additional energy to it. The opposite is true if you cut near Cell B.

note: making a circle with your tentacles so that they all boost each other is a great way to build several powerful microbes fast.
