The game has a fun, gradual difficultly curve. Until level ten. Then the curve goes out the window and smacks you in the face.

Fun game, but I found myself checking e-mails and such while I waited for them to take over stuff. Needs a speed up function.

I am giving the game a 3/5, i would have given it a 5/5 if it wasnt because there is NO tutorial, at first it was pretty easy, until i hit level 6, when i had to pop out the walkthrough and notice that once you cut the supply lines, the little guys making the line go into the target spore (depending on where you cut the line some will go to the target some will go back to your base), ITS NOT INTUITIVE, never would i guess that cutting the line actually did that.

Level 19 is the hardest, not imposible though the whole idea of the map is to get atleast one of your guys to predator while keeping the other 2 places on the sides.
this is posible simply because for the oponents to reach your guys they need to go down from an ant to a spore, giving you the chance to outgrow them. The point in this map is not to take theyre spawn points, its to simply make your places reach higher levels before them, after you achieve that killing them isnt as hard as it looks.

It's quite obvious many here have not yet played a Phase game. This is one of the better ones I have played, truly requiring fast hands/fingers and a very keen mind to do well. Made it to phase 17 before having a problem and will, eventually get past this one as well.
Love the twist with the limited number of tentacles. Makes it a bit more challenging than many.
Well thought out, good graphics, good A.I. that makes it true feat on some levels. 5/5

Yeah... somehow I got 3 bacteria on zone 10, but can't keep it. I can't seem to reproduce how I even managed to do this. I'm missing something here.

this is bullsh*t. it was an awesome freaking game until level 11. but the fact that the enemy cheats like hell makes that level completely and utterly unplayable, so i dont know if the rest of the game afterwards is like that. this issue needs to be addressed before i can play any further.

Great game, love the quote when you beat it. My only complaint is that predators can turn a spore into a ant in less than 30 seconds, so once the enemy or you has one with around 30 seconds of safe life for it, you can easily dominate.

the walkthrough does not show what the enemy does on level 11, when he takes over a cell it is suddenly and magically at MAXIMUM FREAKING POPULATION!!!!!

I would have to say that a proper tutorial is needed. I didn't know what it meant to cut a line until level 10, where the only way i could beat it was by doing so. Even then, I could only figure that out by reading comments & watching the walkthrough.

well, i give it a 0. there's no explanation for the game mechanics, and it's not exactly obvious. i was left staring at a screen with a tentacle hooked into some green ball with an 11/50 and there's some other grey ball above the two. after latching on, i couldn't do anything. and a walkthrough doesn;t count as a tutorial, it counts as a walkthrough and players shouldn't have to view it to try and work out what should be explained in game.

Realize that although your organism "levels up" it can go down to a few units less than that leveling point before it downgrades, allowing you to quickly send out units without loosing you power.

Zone 17 is a pain because it turns into a fastclikcutoryou are doomed to wait forever to rebuild the starting position. It is not a puzzle, it is a action speed test.

It is possible to beat all 20 levels Ive done it before and if you get stuck click the damn walkthrough button, theres no shame in getting help every once in a while

not a bad game ... lvl 19 seemed hardest... after a few trys i got it... but 20 was a walk in the park... this game neither needs any changes its fine the way it is

Nifty ideas. Really crappy level progression and tutorial. Level ten in particular is an utterly bogus step up in difficulty, requiring tactics which are never introduced to be used immediately and perfectly. Not going to bother continuing.
