Ok deeper thoughts after playing a bit more: 1) I'd love WASD controls, as I said previously, 2) I wish there was a button that pulled all your troops to your position, it is way too difficult to position them/dodge enemies near the tops and bottoms of the screen, 3) I dont know if its just a Mac thing but when I hit Command it locks the movement so the guy keeps going whatever direction he was going in... its annoying because I seem to hit it slightly every so often as I'm playing, most games this button does nothing. Really enjoy the game overall though, these things would improve the experience greatly I believe...

Really enjoy the game but found a bug. If you die while fighting the boss you continue right at the boss fight. When you beat the boss you get a 5 'skull' rating for the planet.

Seriously, get a proofreader. There are millions and millions of people out there who are fluent in English. Any one of them could improve this game's writing.

One more thing: fire wave can destroy enemy projectiles, including those from bosses. If you time it right, you can use it to block most of an incoming fusillade. Freeze is also a good skill, but switch it out for shield during boss battles with ranged attacks.

Gone are the days of sidescrolling shooters. While this is a nice attempt at resurrecting them, it is much too slow for a starter. I understand that you are trying to make the player feel overwhelmed by creatures, (which is an honourable goal) however it just makes the player feel sluggish through movement. Sure you can upgrade your speed, but it really doesn't seem worth it to wade through to get that far.

nice idea but the complete lack of a history or even character personality or background robs the player of any chance of imersion here.
good things about it:
old school feeling
upgrades, everyone loves upgrades

Good game but there should be check points so you dont have to start over the mission, and maybe there could be classes, like sharpshooter or tank, still great game 5/5!

Maybe add a reset skill points feature? The levels are getting farther apart, and it's nice to test out different things.

small bug. The next rank shown for Mutagen seems to be the rank I currently have instead, and at 4/5 I had the triple mutagen drop.

If you're going to have a mute button, make sure it mutes all the sounds. As for the rest; it's just a repetitive side-scrolling shooter with little/nothing unique.

Simple game, not very original. There's no 'discovering' at all. They're just different levels with mostly the same monsters on it. Decently put together. Could use better upgrades, a plot or story, music, more weapons and variety of bad guys, an exploration element would be nice, and so on. 2/5

Wow this is a pretty fun game... it gets me distracted and doesn't let me do anything for a bit. Has alot of depth good job.

Nice, but hangs after you kill last boss or die in survival, buttons highlight on mouse over but click on them doesn't work.

Interesting game. The mechanics seem alright, but you can quickly lose interest if you don't pick upgrades like the shotgun first thing. If you focus on getting more mutants first by the second level your dying right after you spawn till you level up and get more upgrades. Just seems like there could be some more balance in the upgrades, since the enemy's keep getting stronger and gaining numbers while you cap at 6 and have to wait a few mins to even get that many.

This is a pretty good shooter game. just wish the things i'm shooting a would have a cooler death than just dissapering.

Here's the easy build. First upgrades go into shotgun/mutagen and hero, but you need 2 points in each. Then start maxing points into the support ship bomber, then destroyer. Summon your mutagens and shotguns even when you don't need them during big battles, since the destroyers and bombs will do quite a bit of damage. Do not put more than 1 point into machineguns/rocket launchers. During boss battles, just remember that your minions are expendable, and focus on keeping your guy alive. Shield helps against projectiles. Don't bother with health/regeneration, you can use mutagens to heal. Speed is optional. Fire wave is terrible unless fully upgraded, do not put points into it if you cannot max it right away.

Really strange discription.... - whats this about ??? And where is the ??? There is only upgrade option for support... Not bad game. Though i dont like snake running from bullets.

nice game, but on the third planet everytime i die and start again I begin right at the Boss. It doesn't start at the beginning of the stage. Is it a bug or somehting?

the game is way to difficult and the level system takes way too long. By the time you get to a boss it is overpowered and you have little to no power ups.
