great game, but it would be nice to be able to save/load, or at least not autosave when you start battle. give the option to reequip/resupply or even avoid a fight, rather than loading right back into a hopeless encounter.

you can also open the shop by buying the preferred emporium badge, thus allowing one free visit per level, though I'm not sure if this is worh it

I've played a number of very similar games and this one has the worst tutorial/help/instructions I've ever seen. It's a real shame because it has the potential to be a great game. 1/5 because I can't figure out how to open the effing shop.

I'm guessing that the programmer of this game read the Evil Overlord Checklist and took it to heart. Please tell me, how the freak am I supposed to take 4 level 2 characters into battle against 6 opponents, many of which when they get damaged can morph themselves into new and stronger forms while going back up to full health and magic? On top of that, when they slaughter you with a thought, they steal a bunch of your items. How and why the programmer thought that would be any kind of fun at all is completely beyond me. Oh well... so much for getting ANY badges on this game, and with it the "Best" of 2008. Such a load of pure, unmitigated cow dung. -100/5, but rated 1/5 because that's as low as Kongregate will allow.

wave 75 almost killed my cleric. That would have ended it. Just run full endurance on everything. Survivability is key. Hehe then on 76 lost both warrior and mage but brought it back with cleric resses. I guess it just waiting until you get unlucky which isn't very interesting.

survival campaign seems kind of boring. I'm on wave 74 and it doesn't get any harder. Just repeats the same thing over and over endlessly. Warrior tank middle, cleric healer back left, mage back middle, hunter back right. Tons of rune power gear and lots of electric storm and hail of arrow spam. I thought it was suppose to get harder or something but just repeats forever... dissapointed

I regret not having a rogue if only for the fact that there is a lot of gear customized for rogues. I have weird cleric, defensive warrior, ranger, mage set up so two handed weapons and all that rogue gear just get sold or discarded. Need to keep mage and hunter damage maxed out but it's annoying when you get unlucky and things just focus the frail range. As a first play through I can say I wouldn't recommend this combo.

For the impossible badge theres plenty of guides on the net; for the hard one: 2nd campaign, team: warrior (str+end) and three rangers (dex); hail of arrows, execute, pin pin pin a lot, pierce and youre gone!

Here's a bit of adivce: GET A SHOP BADGE! It lets you fight a legendary beast and get an orange item EVERY Level. Now i have 20 lethality each character, and they all have some degree of blindness and poison on their weapons

Recommended Team and skills (For my play style): Warrior: Front row, Side. Additional skills to base- Cleave, Inspire, and Overwhelm. Rouge: Front row, opposite of Warrior. Skills: Thief's Luck, Hide, and Poison. Ranger: Behind one or the other. Skills: Rain of arrows (Used after Thief's luck) Pin, and Swiftness (Used before Overwhelm on the warrior.) And for bosses that need a beating from the warrior, Swiftness. Mage: Behind the other, preferably the warrior, or in the center to avoid piercing attacks. Skills: Lightning Storm, Arcane Armor, and Cosmic Prison. Please let me know if this build works for you guys as well as it did for me, either here, messages, whatever.

I've just finished first dungeon. Warrior(tank), Cleric(tank, healer), Mage(range dps) and Cojuror(range dps, summoning). That was easy with this team. It only was a bit harder when my opponents were able to use AoE attacks because my cleric couldn't allways heal everyone(not enough mana). 5/5

@Mori A couple of pieces of advice: 1. You don't have to fight everything. If a particular boss is too strong, don't fight it. If it's in the way of the stairs, use a scroll of deception to get past it. 2. Be sure you're taking advantage of your potions. It's easy to forget about speed or snake's blood potions before a crucial battle

@tallguy2241 - Thanks for pointing that out. The larger irritation is that getting past Lvl 4 seems to be nothing more than a random result of whether you got equipment that your characters could use to best effect. I want to like this game; well, I do like it --- enough to be irritated that there's no way forward. The lvl 4 boss beats every team I put together, then starts stealing equipment, with NO way to recompense that with new equipment or with experience gains.
If anyone has strategy tips, I'd love to hear.

@Mori At first yes, but for 30000 gold you can buy a "Preferred Customer Badge" which allows you to go to the shop once per level.

Is there really no way to sell off equipment except when you get one of those scrolls?! That's almost as stupid as taking items of the best gear a player has, not giving any exp or progression, then expecting them to go up against the same boss fight that killed them the first time.
