Alagamer, that's not entirely true. Enemies strength, endurance etc. keeps pace with you, but not their quickness, resistances etc. Choose your kit and enhancements carefully and a powerful boss becomes a pussycat. I run at veteran level and haven't lost a battle for a long time.

I agree strongly with what PJ6211 wrote. Part of the fun of many RPGs is that you can become more powerful than the adversaries, but with level scaling that's not the case, so some of the joy of running through again is lost.

Sometimes you can't help but feel like punching the computer, because the enemies keep messing up your team. Especially feel like it when the boss keeps killing your team and you need to kill them to win the campaign.

The balance of abilities in this game is infuriating - in the first act, you get summoners who can frequently summon multiple voidstalkers... who start with 50% action bars, and have the ability to impose a 30% miss chance on anyone in the party. Those are frequently teamed up with front-line warriors who stun. So if you're up against a 4-person fight, where your side randomly is shafted with low starting action, you can suddenly be up against a 6-person team, with your front line stunned or at 1/2 damage, with your poor cleric barely able to get off a heal in order to save just one of them. The difference between one of your characters having an action and being disabled can mean the difference between winning without a fight, and losing hopelessly. And so much of it is random, that it takes out a huge chunk of skill.

Now all of my progress is gone... I'm a huge long time fan of the Monster's Den series but I'm pretty annoyed I went to replay it and this happened... oh well.

So somehow I lost all my items except for what was on my heroes, all of my progress except character levels and skills, and all my money... wtf?

Wow, you did a great job here, i really like the enhancements like being able to go to the emporium anytime, items enhancements, special features based on the renown, the clock showing character's turns, the various equipment sets ...
Awesome job, i wish you all the best for your sequel, i can say it'll be a huge success, keep up the good work guys.
I saw a beholder already, i can't wait to disintegrate it ;-)
TIPS for new players :
Try to gather light blue sets at first, use your sparks of legend on weapons (you can get it back later on)
Focus on quickness/first action and slowing down ennemies later on.
Try to get a multiple targets stunner / critical hit or more
That's my way of geting flawless victories on anything else than bosses, even with only a dynamic duo (mage/cleric)

The auto-scaling and the slow scaling kinda through me off, it felt much better in the earlier games and you weren't drowned in quite as much gear.

I have played every Monster Den since they have came out and I must say that they seriously need to be available for phones! I don't like the auto-scaling though in this version and miss the legendary monsters...

I sincerely wish that the Possessor would get launched into outer space and drift around there, eventually getting stranded on some old comet.

Hmmm if you complete a campaign with 1 person it doesn't provide you the achievements for beating a campaign with 2 people or the one for beating one with 3 people. I figured by beating it with just the 1 I'd get both :-/ that sucks.

《Monster's Den: Book of Dread 》 was great but this one is less funny.
When level grows the game become unbalance and less exciting.

I reserve sparks of legend for epic items (the purple ones). These items I generally want to keep for a long time. If you want to get it back, use artificer's solvent to destroy the ring. It's available from "special orders" in the shop when your level is high enough.

Are there suggestions from others on what's a good use for the Spark of Legend? I'm having trouble deciding what to do with it and I think I botched it by putting it in a ring...

To answer Fish Richard the premium content is two things. First it gives you 5 sparks of legend (which take a very long time to get in game). Secondly it creates a whole new list of characters that have all the same abilities but looks slight different (different skin tone and hair). The main thing with the new characters is it allows you to have 2 of each specialty. So you could have two conjurers or two inquisitors. You could have then have something like 4 clerics or 4 mages in a party since you can use two of each subclass. The premium content isn't a big deal but it's a nice way to support developer for such a great game.

Challanurgh, Imperial Crypt. Rooms cleared 100% Enemies cleared 90% Yet no enemies are visible anywhere on map. Exit is not visible. Exiting to previous floor and returning yields no results. hmm...

for the doofus that complained that longswords are watered down axes, a longsword doesn't pierce through armor unless you get it through the bindings, an axe will crush the limb and pierce the armor downright

The boost items have a low drop rate, if the maker of the game can increase the booster items drop rate by 47 percent, then players will have much better chance of obtaining these preciouses items. These items can help to boost our party states by two folds, and it can help us beat certain battle groups in dungeons, because of most these battle groups are hard to beat, and the only way to beat them is with boosters items.

Is it me or are longswords just a downgrade from a two handed axe? They deal the same damage or even less than axes, and both have -5 quickness, but axes have a bonus +10 to armor piercing.

A little disappointed that half of the monster types from the original Monster's Den aren't in this, but... I love it anyway.

One of my favorite games. High replay value. Lots of loot and many different play strategies. Expansions of this particular storyline in the future would be most welcome. Some more dialogue by characters in the battle would be a nice touch. Getting back items you just sold would also be handy. 94/100

There needs to be more games like this. This reminds me of dragon age legends. I wish that I could find one with a multiplayer engine like that one

This game is so stupidly unfair, have you ever thought of balancing it so people can play with just one character? you know, make the drops higher quality, gain more EXP, DON'T put you up against 3 warriors who constantly pummels you while a mage summons voidstalkers who make it so you can't hit for jack squat?
