pirate captain: ok lads! we see a ship, fly around like an idiot and only shoot at him if you feel like it!
pirate: maybe if we all shot at once he wou-
pirate captian: NO! we MUST only shoot if we feel like it

it needs new ships, and the pirates tend to spray, yet they always seem to hit. Also, the cities should have some differences instead of just color.

Kinda nice graphics, and that's all. Poor gameplay, bad interface (too many fading effects are TOO annoying), poor feedback, and VERY BORING flying sequences...

To those having trouble starting the game, it is because your browser is zoomed in. Press ctrl+0 to reset your zoom level, and then refresh the page. You can then zoom in again after it loads and it'll work fine (ctrl++).

I must agree with TXLimey - it looks like a beta version, a very promising beta version however.
I miss some more elements, perhaps some more storylines, and choices - not to be a trader, but perhaps a spy, or a pirate, or scientist. Perhaps develop multi-system jumps? Different spaceships, both in ones encounters or something to buy/upgrade to?
Otherwise a promising little game, that could grow into something bigger.

Love the concept.. but it is incomplete. Part of an afternoon and ship is maxed no need for more money or experience. Hence no real reason to go further into the galaxy. If I am wrong tell me. If I am right please expand.

if your having trouble hitting enemies try holding SHIFT and click on a ship or asteroid then click the red dot and you never miss.press + if this helps

sorry but it had no storyline, music (music really helps to make a game entertaining), and it stinks that the colour of the laser doesn't change 3/10

Nice homebrew homage to the classic Elite. Needs sound, more variation in the mission content and more of an RPG element in how you upgrade (IE offer the player different path options for developing their ship). David Braben would be proud (or possibly sue).

I like the idea of this game, but it takes too long to travel between planets. There ought to be a 'warp' function that cuts out if there's trouble (pirates, asteroids ... asteroid pirates), but otherwise, it just takes a little fun out of the game. 3/5

OKAY YEAH VERY DUMB FIGHTING SEQUENCES GUYS. TRAVELING JUST ONE PLANET OVER I ENCOUNTERED 11 DIFFERENT PIRATE ATTACKS...COME ON PLEASE...DECREASE THE NUMBER OF ENCOUNTERS.

The game won't work no matter what i do, it justs stops onto the title screen - there's no menu, button to press or anything. Unrated.

1) + anthill's comment this is something that will cut down on comments 2) i think you should be able to get a better ships along with upgrades + missiles maybe in a second game if it gets popular

Its a nice game, but it is missing way too many elements to be great. Give us more options of ships; don't force us to make do with just one. Give us more weapons, a larger upgrade range for ship stats, etc. I like TXLimey's idea of a power/energy meter. I also like Purehope20's idea of becoming a pirate, or at least having career paths/classes. If you've ever played Project Diaspora, try to get some elements to mirror that game (For anyone that wants to know, PD is a downloaded F2P MMO space-trading game much like this one. It's pretty old, but its fun.) Just do anything you can to keep players interested. I didn't feel any drive to continue this game. It's fun at first, and its a great idea, but you really should put some more work into it. 3/5
