Good, but needs a bigger dictionary. For example, to get past a 'ung' you need to grab a red 'L' in the corner with the double jump, but I had a 'B' and an 'M'. Bung and Mung are words. And why is Ms. a word, but Mr. isn't?

Pretty good but it takes a fair bit of backtracking to finish. Of course, this being a metroidvania game it makes perfect sense...

This game is awesome!!! The reverse gravity kicks ass and considering this game has virtually no graphics its still great.

Very fun, very creative, just the right difficulty. I think adding anything else would hurt the game--maps or "letter indicators" or things like that are unnecessary, at least if you grew up playing games much larger and more difficult than this without that sort of help.

Fun? There needs to be better indication of how and where to get letters when they are necessary to proceed. I had all but 3 or 4 letters, but couldn't figure out where to go next and I'm pretty sure I was completely trapped. Also, the starting letter shouldn't be dependent on the entered name.

not sure why you called it Asciivania. the 'Ascii' makes complete sense, but the 'Vania'? This is nothing like Castlevania!

Since you get to pick your first letter, it's kind of easy to game. You could pick Z and save yourself that last trek back to the start, or a really useful letter that you don't get until late in the game, like E.

Excellent concept, but the mechanics need a bit more explanation. Such as: Your character must be on the ground for the game to process words. Words won't activate while jumping or falling. That was a big one. Beyond that, it would have been nice if the permanently erasable letters would have been done in a different color to the temporarily erasable ones; the jump physics were much too floaty for me; and finally, the music... did not impress. Without sound effects there was no reason not to just mute the whole thing.

I found a little bug, a FATAL bug... At the part of the map with say "_alfayws there" and where the R is, i can't break the "there" ( with the missing "h", even though i GOT the h. )

I liked it quite a lot. There is an inescapable trap early on if you dont go in order, and why in the name of all that is woolly would you make it end when you havent acquired all the letters yet? I dont really give a hoot about getting all the vowels or whatever, I want to finish every letter -_-
