Very cool idea but these 48-hour games always have gameplay issues due to insufficient testing. Here, it's the shooting mechanism: having to move towards something to shoot it increases the closing speed of the bad guy's bullets so you have to run into the stream of bullets, run towards them, fire off a single shot and duck out again. This gets very tedious, very quickly, when enemies need several shots to destroy.

Tip for beating the game: First get the gun. Then you go backwards from the beginning to the final boss and beat it by shoting it with the gun on the non-spikey sides ;)

PROFIT: at beginning go to take the gun, then come back to spawn. Here, you have to go far from the entrance of the level. Go far and far, until you go in the BOSS's zone. I've finished the game in 5 minutes or less.

This game is so ingenious and creative! And I love the little attention to detail with how your character is always the color of the layer you're currently in. Amazing game!

Its not perfect and it gets a bit arduous near the end but it flows flawlessly and its a damn fun and unique challenge and that's all you can ask for 5/5

Lol. Found a way to kill the end Boss without walking through the labyrinth, without killing one other enemy and (possibly) without taking damage. Enter the labyrinth and obtain the gun. Then leave the labyrinth and go back where you came from. Then go down. After a while you'll reach the finish screen and you can enter the boss room. Kill him and you are the winner. After that you can kill the other enemys from the inside to the outside while some enemys are different.

The whole "maze within a maze within a maze within a maze within a.." is a cool and unique concept.. I just wish I wouldn't get lost so very easily x_X

The game is a closed loop- if you keep going "out" for about 15 seconds, you'll arrive at the results page; go out from there and you'll find yourself in the boss room!

The boss is covered in spikes that protect it, you will find the sides have a spot where there aren't any spikes, that is where you hit him.

autofire = hold space, click outside the game, release, click back to the game. I know, it's just one key, but.. hey, it's one key less :P (I discovered it after finishing the game, for the record :P)

Awesome game, mute would be nice. Hints for the game: like rjdjdaw said, go right first at the green, just keep track of your dead ends and its pretty easy to track the path. To defeat the final green block, you must hit it sideways, you can notice a little gap between the spikes there,and you should try to keep yourself in the diagonal, so when he moves, you hit once, and run again to the diagonal, i only hit it once at a time but never got damaged.

For those who just wanna beat the game, and don't care about playing:
Get the gun, then go back out to the start, and keep going away from the room. You'll end up in the boss room and you can just kill it to beat the game.

Kudos to the dev for being able to get to the end of the game right from the start, LOL never saw that happen before. Sneaky bastard.

Great game, simple enough to get into and start progressing, but difficult ramps up perfectly as you move on through the maze. Bravo!

I might be an idiot for posting this... but... where is the mute button? It's not like this music is bad I just prefer to listen to my own music, for one there is no in game instruction to tell me how to turn off music(due to the simple nature of this game) and there are no instructions below the game. 4/5 from me (not based on the mute button)

To quickly get the BOTD (game completed), first go inward and grab the gun (isn't far in), then go back OUT, following WiseCooldud's advice and get to the end. Then, shoot the boss from either the left or the right side in the area WITHOUT spikes. Hit him about 15 times and you'll have beaten the game. Hope this helps! :D

Beautifully executed and the difficulty level is just right - plus, even after the generic win, there was still the possibility to play for the 100% completion (killing all adversaries and collecting all coins) which is again not easy, but also not unmanageable once you have the controls down. There's also a surprising amount in attack strategy due to the positioning of the adversaries - I needed four different tactics to get the big ones. Incredible depth for a 48 hour game - please add API so it can get some badges. 5/5
