i was just thinking about this game the other day, i couldnt remember the name, so i didnt try to find it but today i happened to stumble upon it again. :) love this game

I like the game but it has some faults. I think there are balance issues, especially with archers. The AI orcs often build armies of nearly all demons and they massacre an attacking army before they can get halfway across the field. Also the AI is kinda dumb, they'll often attack neutral spaces over and over again with only two warbands instead of building up. Also the maps get bigger as you reach later levels, but the small maps are actually a lot harder than the big ones, probably because the AI's faults are more obvious on the big maps.
Finally I agree with rexdivis that some kind of "hero" unit for each faction might make things more interesting.

I don't know, but they are too inaccurate in this game to do much against towers.
the way to fix it would be either increase accuracy, or just increase damage.
I was going to say a few more general tips, but I am getting -s so I won't. Besides, I could always start/use a forum for strategies.

There is an easy way to win with all the races, humans - batte sprites. Dwafs - Dwarfs and Dragons. Orcs - Demons.
Keep on attacking high income neutrals (not forts), and only ever build defences if your offensive grounds to a halt. Useful tip, the enemy will always attack an unmanned fief with 4 units, which are easily killed with the 3 towers. And if one tactic fails, another one is opened :D

Spawn7666, dragons are extremely bad against towers. They rock against units, but deal almost no damage at all to towers. If you use lots of footmen and archers, they'll have a very good chance to take out most of their units AND the towers.

@labuti Talk about nonconstructive criticism. Constructive criticism helps the developer make the game better. Saying, "it sucks", helps in no way, but makes you look like an idiot.

you should also make a ultimate war 2 with unit upgrades more races and also that you can exit out of a battle if u want to PLUS THIS plz

these are some suggestions
1)maybe a multiplayer option
2)maybe we could look in a selection of maps instead of clicking no over and over again
3) maybe a alliance thing would be nice

i can also see many improvements. in the fight id like to get all my ranged units behind my melee units. I also found an glitch or a cheat whatever you want to call it. it is very simple. when you are defending against a big army of enemies. all you have to do is to buy a cheapest tower then buy one warband. The warband can be melee or ranged units but it really does not matter. start the battle! remember to watch it to control your units! The final thing is to circle around the battlefield. but you must not get many hits from the enemies or the troops will die! You are dead if the enemies have ranged units! But also be wary of more than 6 warbands!

hmmmmmmm............ very good. i want to see more units in every orcs, dwarves, and humans. so it will become more powerful than now. so, this version must be upgraded

this game is great, and for those asking for upgrades and spells, the buildings and support count as upgrades. honestly ive spent more time on this game than it takes me to finish most 2 season animes. i like how nothing is too OP and each unit has their pros and cons. overall this game is truly amazing, i'd like to see badges, and a 2 with multiplayer and map creation and upload like most nerdook games do with families. 6/5

My last hint (before my comments can be seen as spam:) is abuse terrain, a single unit of battle sprites just got 60 kills with 1 loss ^~^

on the final level of the humans you need 12warbands of archers in all your teratorys
and put the scout tower in the forest fort cos you get 3 of them but the stong fort can have 3 GUARD TOWERS

But the races are mixed up! The humans have good defense and tech, the orcs are strong and aggressive, and the dwarves are very high health with bombs and stuff! Get it right! :p

also it would be good if they had a blacksmith so that you can equip it
to youre men and have a hero

Seemingly cool but fatally flawed. Tactical combat is fun to look at but almost impossible to control (unlike a lot of similar games, fighting the battles yourself doesn't make for a much better result) . Strategic combat is almost pure attrition (i.e. outspending your opponents). The missions are well laid out, and the strategic part of the game is very good. Unfortunately, attrition warfare would have been far more appropriate for a WWI-era game, for which this is absolutely perfectly suited as-is. For quality I'd give it 4/5, but, personally, the gameplay was a bit of a letdown, so 3/5 overall. More varied units and an experience system might have made all the difference.

No the dwaft orc thing is right. There is always a huge orc army that is kinda weak (individually) and a smaller but tougher dwarf army. Single units of the orcs generally suck, but it's there numbers, like in Lord of the Rings, that counts, where as the dwarves are tough, but there aren't as many

A great game, but surely need more difficulity and better balance. Orks are just too powerful -_-
Just spamming cheap orks at the start can help you to capture any neutral territory near you, so you have an economic advantage and just outspam enemy with harpies later. And AI needs to be cleverer, then just throwing 3 swordsmen warbands to capture a Strong Fort -_-

Can't stand how the army of like, 50 orcs are surrounding 3 dwarves instead of going for the towers that are picking them off. Better NPC targeting system maybe??

i think the battering rams and the dragons are under powered cause they cost too much for how bad they are like dragons attack like once per 5 seconds and the rams don't have enough health to get to do much id rather make like orcs or even bombers over rams and for dwarves id PURRFER to get like 2 squads of dwarves.

I wish on sandbox you can pick your race and map.it would be a bonus if you could make your own maps and publish them.

Dwarves are really difficult against orcs, because grenaidiers die really quickly and demon archers pwn against dragons.
