God "Welcome pirate." Pirate "Arrgh how did I get here?" God "After you dozed off and dreamt about jumping a ship to some treasure you hit a sea mine and here you are in Davy Jones' Locker." Pirate "Arrgh that explains a lot."

Well, its fun, i like the rotation and character features, but I've seen a lot of these games. This being ok, but not the best. Some cool features though. And getting to the X is still relatively hard, which I like, even with all the upgrades.

for all of you complaining bout the islands... when I land oin them... even without ANY upgrades... I still slide off of the side and keep going >_> ...idiots

how lame in the end wen you make it to the X it says that some other guy been stuck and that it shouldve kept u distracted while he stole your ship

The islands stop the game from being any fun. bad enough is launching straight on to an island and coming to a dead stop, even when fully upgraded. Worse is randomly bouncing on to one the 20th time you've tried to get to the X. I never even got close, because there's no way to dodge them.

This game perfectly illustrates why the traditional pirate model of building boats with cannons on them is far more efficient at treasure-getting than building cannons with boats inside them.

Faster rotation does NOT equal better control. Especially when you are using arrow keys. How about instead of rotating faster, you make it so the upgrades reduce the amount the ship rotates when hitting an object. It becomes almost impossible to stay afloat when skimming across the water and every object you hit knocks you 45 degrees in a random direction AND you have very touchy twitchy controls.

Hey everyone, instead of just sailing why dont we build a giant cannon, stuff our giant ship inside, and take the risk of dieing!

this game basically boils down to "jiggle the arrows to keep the little white picture of the boat from toppling over." I appreciate you trying to add some other gameplay element to an otherwise ridiculous genre of casual games (the "watch your silly cannonball guy hit a lot of stuff" genre), but keeping the boat upright is just obnoxious.

Dear Diary: I was oiling the wheel of our ship today, but I spilt too much oil on it... I don't think anyone will notice though.
P.S. I think I might have scurvy.
