I love this game, and not just because the music, RPG like story, and that the dragon is CUTE. This gives Lisch Studios a run for there money. Hope they make a sequal.

ELDER
This is the last stage of the game. In this stage, the hero tries to do something to the dragon, either try to kill or befriend it. You can either use a flower, bag of gold or bow & arrow.
Bag of Gold: Befriends dragon.
Flower: Gets rejected unless the dragon has plant breath.
Bow & Arrows: Makes the dragon try to kill you.
There are four endings to this game. Here they are:
Fall of the Hero: Shoot an arrow, get killed by the dragon.
Slaying the Dragon: Use the arrows to kill the dragon.
Friendship: Give either the bag of gold (all types) or the flower (plant breath only) to the dragon.
Stalemate: This is the hardest ending of all. If I remember correctly, it takes 15 arrows to kill the dragon. One without fire breath is recommended. Shoot the dragon 14 times, get hit twice, shoot one more arrow just as you get hit. Wait until you see his mouth open to bite you to shoot the last arrow.
I hope this helps!

Just a suggestion for a second game of How to Raise a Dragon (maybe) 1: More breathe choices, like ice. 2. More choices of homes, (like staying in captivity) and finally, 3. More endings. Like "Dragon trainer's pet" or something like that.

This game just goes to show you don't need exciting graphics to make a good game. May be pixels but i love this game because there is so much to do in a short game. Really hope to see more of this in the future

I love this game so much! It is a great story and gives you a lot of control. I like how you can choose the outcome and what happens. Truly amazing and brilliant :)

We need more games like this. Absolutely wonderful, I have a funny feeling when I play this game. I don't get it a whole lot unless there is platinum (Thats right, more than gold!) in my screen. The graphics make it look great, the game play is wonderful, I have beat this game over 20 times now. It still hasn't gottin old. Keep up the good work! I expect the sequel to be as or more wonderful, beautiful, platinum game. 5/5 and Favorited! I even put it on my Facebook! Greg, you aren't a game designer, you are a artist, and composer of a beautiful song and poem, I promised I wouldn't cry...

RyderChick, there is a fire in the sewers, the second story of the hay barn, one in the kitchen, and one in the area with the hanged origami.

There is a hard ending to get with the hero. Stalemate. to get it the you have to kill the dragon and die at the same time (the dragon can be on the castle or mountain). you have to time it correctly to get it. But it doesnt have anything to do with an achivement so i guess no one really cares

This is amazing. And it's mostly because of the extreme content that makes you want to keep playing, the full choice. I feel like there should've been the choice between being the dragon or the hero and then maybe a war on the city? In which you would choose between saving the city or helping destroy it, or simply neither. I love this game and would love to see more, keep up the good work.

Cute, clever and fun options make this a great game. My only complaint is that it's too short and maybe you should think about adding more breath types. I'd love to see a sequel that capitalized on those ideas.
4/5

The fact that you can decide the endings, whether they are good or bad, is absolutely phenomenal. (More narration on those endings would be better, but I am not to judge)

This is a fantastic game any lover of Dragons will enjoy. You take control of a young Dragon, You must eat Green Plants, Blue Bugs, or Red Bugs to decide which color you would like to be. After a while, you come across a Wizard, who captures your Dragon, your Dragon is at least a teenager now, & you break free from your cage, you must eat Fire, Plants, Healing Items, or none, to choose your breath power, if you even get one, because you can choose to not have one, if you'd like. After you choose your breath power, you must exit with whichever breath power you take. Now you are a fully grown Dragon, and go through a Village, depending on which breath power you took, you can do different things. Then you must choose your home, a Castle, or a Cave. Then you play as a Hero, who either gives the Dragon a Flower for friendship, some Gold, or fights the Dragon, & depending on what happens, will choose your ending. Over all, a very well made game, but not perfect. 9/10 ~SoullessPrincess

Oh man, i still love this thing at 23. I started playing it at 13.
For those who love it and wish there was more, i'd recommend the game Golden Treasure: the Great Green, form Dreaming Door studios. It's very like this, but with a differnt mechanism.

the obvious hard work and all the possibilities led up to an amazing game! I loved finding all the different outcomes in the story, and also the colour mechanic. also, the information in the journal was fun to read. all in all, this deserves a 5/5 and a favorite definitely. I only wish the developer makes a sequel. it would be very interesting!

It might actually be a lot of fun to also play the development of the hero too so the combinations needed for each ending aren't quite the same.
