I just realized while claiming my BOTD points that you created Babies Dream of Dead Worlds, How to Raise A Dragon and The Day, along with Majesty of Colors. Trying out this game for first time, and know I'll be pleased with what I see!

What are those lighter areas that appear every so often and very slowly move to the other side of the screen and then dissapear? o.o

There is no clue which indicates that you should do this, so for the sake of helping people out of retracing their steps again and again, I offer one simple clue: Check the four corners of the map.

I don't normally like 'artsy games' but this game gets 5 stars in my book. An actual interesting history told in a distinct manner, a whole set of goals (collect artifacts, find signposts, get endings) and great atmosphere make this a 5 star game.

this game scares me...its like if i go to a certain spot and stand on it, a screamer pic will come up and scream out of nowhere and then ill shit my pants XD

The notes section alone is worth the 9 endings. Actual insight into the creative process for a game like this answers quite a lot of questions (and criticisms -- there's method to the madness).

When I saw in the notes that Yume Nikki was an inspiration for this game, I was not surprised. As soon as I started it, I got the same feeling of uneasiness that I got playing Yume Nikki, which is very good. While the atmosphere isn't as eerie and heavy (which is probably a good thing considering Yume Nikki is crazy enough), it was very unsettling, and pretty involving; I really liked the absence of music and colors, and the backstory we had to search for. Well-deserved 5/5. Anyone who enjoyed this really oughta try out Yume Nikki, it's an unique experience, and the creepiness remains unmatched. Fun fact: I actually found the map fairly easy to navigate; at least, it's not one of those looping voids of blankness, and it's not that big. Good job.

I realized my soud was muted while walking along, Once I turned it on I saw a shiny dot. I went off the path, and that horrible noise of a creeky door started. I'm afraid to leave the path now.

I think a minimap would make it stupid. Unknown worlds don't typically have cartography. Anyhow, great game, but the color scheme, while being creative, gave me a headache, which is the prime reason I stopped prematurely. 4/5

If a world would exist, i hope it would be like looming. If two people were to exist, i hope they would be january and september. If a game that calms and puts to peace, no need to hope. It would be looming

Endings (not in order) That I remember finishing. 1) Leave right away 2) Spend some time (1-2+ min) then leave 3) Collect all the tally's and leave through the Triangle tent thinga-ma-bob 4) Collect all the rings and leave through the dome 5) Collect the bones and leave through the portal between 4 small domes. 6) Arrange the lights according to the diagram 7) Follow the path to the end and leave that way 8) (my most frustrating one) Find all the hidden signposts. The first hidden post will tell you that the 2nd is the 2nd yay. One of the later ones says find the two gears and go north. Don't just go north, you will find a post but it's out of order now and you need all of them.
Can anyone list the last solution? Far right ending.

I love the simplicity of this game, but how it has some really great pixel art and is very artistically created. The story is also pretty interesting and kept me engaged while some other games I would probably just want to skip through it. Nice job.

@tiginator... it's not too many stories... it's the story of a whole civilisation, what they beleived in, what they did, what happened to them... all of the stories help you build an image. You can't put a limit on that

this game mite seem pointless and boring at first, but once you find enough artifacts you really get into it, and you don't feel like stopping until you've beaten everything. great game

This reminds me so much of Murakami's Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World (specifically the End of the World)

'Dear January,
I'm Sorry, I will not be coming back to your love anytime soon. Why? Oh, January, It is not because I want you to pair up with August or even October, I'm afraid it's because I cannot find the portal. If you want me back, please send me a map...'

I've been playing for about five minutes, and something about the atmosphere of this game has kept me on the verge of a panic attack the entire time. I assume this is intentional, so, good job! It's hard to accomplish that sort of intense feeling just through being in a game, but you've really pulled it off.

If it wasn't for the world-building going on in the somewhat static story, this game would be immensely dull. As it stands, it is merely boring. I played most of the way to the end, mostly just to kill time because I couldn't think of anything else to do at the time, but I didn't much enjoy it I'm afraid and was left wondering why I had bothered at all. Especially since I can't find the exit for ending 7 at all, despite having every item in the game.

I can't find the last two shiny things. DEAR GOD I JUST WANNA FIND THE LAST TWO SHINY THINGS!
Seriously though, I love this game. I come back to it again and again...even though I never seem to remember where anything is, hehe.

Spent something like an hour to beat the game, but I enjoyed it. Amazing backstory, and a great game, though the lack of an ending after finally finding every secret was a little disappointing (unless you count the Epiphany). For that, it gets knocked from a 6/5 to a 5/5 ^_^.

I know you made everything be near the path, but I felt like I had explored all of the path and not found everything, so I started a tedious exhaustive search, and then found a walkthrough to find the last few things. This was unpleasant enough and basic enough to the gameplay that it dropped my opinion of the game to 3/5 from probably 5/5 otherwise. Some amount of mapping with marks of where you had found things would fix this.

when i came to kong today, i was pretty depressed and somehow this game helped me to dive into a very different, odd, but still adorable world. now i feel at ease with myself. thank you

It is decent for it's genre of game. A lot of people don't go for this sort, but some do enjoy playing a small game to find out a story. However, it gets really, really dull near the end, when you are missing just one piece from each collection and don't feel like scouring the whole map.

This is a brilliant game, I found myself hugging the walls for fear of being lost. Reminds me of a book i just read called "House Of Leaves"

I wasn't going to complain about anything, until I didn't walk through the portal I made by finding all the signposts, instead opting to try a different one because I thought hey, I found them all, everything stays. That immediately made me drop the entire game because there is no way I'm redoing that in a game this "empty and vast". Yes, I was intrigued by the story, and what happened there, but not enough to waste more minutes simply walking and being lost on a huge map.

Dear January,
I have just completed one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life that do not involve you. The Epiphany has shown me much. I would have you touch the Epiphany, but I would not want your eternal perfection to be marred by by such a lifeless, misshapen place. Alas, my journey was difficult. Really, really difficult. And long. And kind of confusing at times. And a strain on my eyes. My only solace now is knowing that my eyes will soon be comforted by the sight of you, and that I will be able to give this game a 5/5. I rush to you. Yours, September.

If I was thrown into a mini universe I would have at least made a map as I went. Also al the walking was rather tedious other than that it was a fun game
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Very good game and concept, but i just can't seem to find the last pixel, i know i must have over looked it, but it needs some sort of pointer system or those crawling things can help direct you...

I kind of think that the diagrams portal was unfair, there isn't any indication of where your supposed to use the knowledge, aside from the fact that there are directions in respect to 4 objects (HINT HINT). This clue also helped a bit:http://twitter.com/GregoryWeir/status/17820949426. Anyways, nice game, but much too tedious for a perfect score, 4/5
