Under rating threshold (show) I like how the Seecha are like machines - they are masters of mechanisms without understanding and count in binary. The Lorem are like people - they know science, but they can't implement things at the speed of a machine. Still working on ending 7.

Under rating threshold (show) i really cant figure out what the puzzle does or means. the 7th ending is still open for me. the top-rated comment by samerules4ever doesn't solve it for me. i systematically scanned through the whole loom searching for that artifact-related location. i can only find the triangle (tally), dome (humans), and that dragon thingy.. and searching through 400 comments searching for 7 and "seven" didnt helo either

Under rating threshold (show) The aimless wandering around looking for places you've already passed and forgotten the direction of, makes this adventure more frustrating than engaging. There really needs to be some sort of minimap.

Under rating threshold (show) This game is one of the most beautiful I've ever experienced. The extremely stark contrast between the wonderful depth in the game (of September, of the tribes, of the Oarbor, the world itself) and the the fact that the game only has two colors adds to the beauty.

Under rating threshold (show) The only puzzle which perplexed me was the seventh ending, with the scraps. I kept looking for meaning in the symbols on the scraps, when there really wasn't any. Some indication of how those images correlate to objects in the game world would have been immensely helpful.

Under rating threshold (show) It was a cool game, and I got all the endings, but I don't feel any kind of completion for getting the endings. Still 5/5 for being unique and awesome. It reminded me of that game where you run away from the clouds, and hide in caves, in search for your lover. Forgot what it was called.

Under rating threshold (show) You know, as I played this, my thoughts turned to the Myst series. And then I read the notes and found it was one of the inspirations for this. I think the feel of this game is very reminiscent of the Myst games, which is an amazing task for such a simple game. You, sir, have earned a 5 from me.

Under rating threshold (show) Great game! but very confusing to wander around in, a map of places visited would be very nice, at least 4.5/5 as is, but if another of this type were to be made (not necessarily a sequel, just a similar game) then i would like to see a few things, you couldn't check your hidden signpost progress from you "inventory", it would be nice to have some kind of background art, and in general just more stuff, because the story was just so well thought out that i want MOAR!....plz? XD

Under rating threshold (show) I don't know why, but with the sound turned up high, I can't stop feeling clammy, and it feels very cold. I also shiver a lot. This is the most "realistic" game to date, and gives a sense about what real fear is. It's not devil's, its being lost with no hope.

Under rating threshold (show) Another excellent Title Greg! I'm impressed yet again by your ability to create compelling stories and to deliver them in creative and interesting ways. Looming was particularly excellent in my mind because of the rich mythology; Two races of people, living in a harsh land of mysteries; An ancient creature of unknown origin or intent who knows the date of his own death; mysterious epiphany, the substance which falls from the sky and brings with it visions of time gone by and yet to come. You continue to make the freelance game community a richer and more storied place, again, Top-notch!

Under rating threshold (show) I have commented on most of your games, but I was unable to complete this one. Not due to the fact that it is difficult, but the fact that it is just so damn creepy. The (this is what I call it) Puebalo guy who I guess sings in the backround randomly scared the hell out of me. Looming is a place for the ones who are desperate for something other than natural.

Under rating threshold (show) (Continuation because my post was too long): I particularly liked the character of the Oarboar; it seemed like a wise, sagelike creature that was peaceful despite its monstrous appearance. (I keep trying to picture that -- the closest I can get is that it's either a chimera or a griffin) I do like jigsaw-puzzle like things where you have to slowly gather pieces of the plot, especially if you get them out of order, so that was fun. The only thing I think the game was lacking in was the Seecha -- I had a hard time grasping their exact methods and culture. I was a bit confused as to the extent of their "machines", how they used them, etc. I didn't really get a feel of "pragmatic intuition" like you say. That's just me though. Anyway, um, yes, this was great and I will probably recommend it to others. :)

Under rating threshold (show) This is very well-done. I wasn't surprised to learn that Yume Nikki was one of the influences for this game; Looming does feel very similar. Because of that and some of your previous games, I was constantly nervous that it would suddenly turn dark and depressing, but it didn't, and I'm glad for that! Though I like dark, depressing dramas, sometimes you do need lighthearted ambiance to relax a bit. The letters to January were a nice touch to this; they were all very sweet and heartwarming, and I wonder what January thinks of everything September writes to her about. Like September says, Looming is somewhat dreary and oppressive, but also serene and a fountain of knowledge.

Under rating threshold (show) I think a minimap would make it stupid. Unknown worlds don't typically have cartography. Anyhow, great game, but the color scheme, while being creative, gave me a headache, which is the prime reason I stopped prematurely. 4/5
