Small suggestion: Once the game is completed, have some option to see the whole poem? I was too focused on the puzzles and didn't remember the lines. Anyway I liked the mechanic :).

Absolutely fantastic. Talk about having to need a good grip on spacial relations. I love the scattered puzzle feel, having to watch all the pieces as you hop around to find out where it all fits, being upside down one moment and sideways the next. Well done!

For those people who wanted to see the whole poem:
I hope and pray that I will find, the child that I have left behind, for as I hear the madness gloat, a frightened scream rips from my throat, a child's love, with blind ambition, against my panicked admonition, into the heart of evil's lair, I battle on without despair, and search and wonder as I might, I see no ending to my plight, the is no point in searching more, for I'm the one he's searching for

Very few platformers have such good controls and even fewer hold such an emotional feel, everything is perfect. 10/10

Its a nice game, but I would have liked to hear the poem all in one go at the end, rather than only as fragmented peices.

The game made Me realized how much relations are important and that we have to make the most of them while they last.Great game.

I enjoy the concepts (both gameplay and narrative) a great deal. I was able to find my way around by either analyzing the shapes of the pieces or occasionally by simply dancing on the edge of my current piece until I figured out where it connected -- and there's something to be said for the image of a boy whose world has literally been shattered trying to find his mother. The music suits it, the sound syncs up well, and the graphics are nicely done. On a mechanical level, the game handles nicely, though the ceilings have an obnoxious habit of hanging too low and cutting off my jumps. 4 Stars, and I'll be watching you.
Thanks. Hitting your hit is definitely annoying. That's a problem with Flash games some times, I had to make the world 500x500 to fit inside a 600x600 Flash window. If I could've made the screen bigger, a lot more would have been possible. Thanks for playing.

Hey, great game, wonderful voice actor! There's not many games out there anymore with them, so it's great to see someone doing it. Also, love the style - this is a unique game, never seen one like it before.

I rarely feel the need to comment on games, but what you've created here is simply a work of art. Beautiful looking artwork with perfectly fitting sounds and music. Whoever did the voice acting for telling the story did a wonderful job as well. At first I found myself mildly frustrated by the disorientation of transitioning upside down, but after adjusting to it this game become apparent to be a much needed relaxing breath of fresh air in an era of overtly saturated genres. Simple design, yet extremely elegant. Thank you for this masterpiece. I look forward to seeing what create in the future.
Wow. Thank you very much. I'm glad you enjoyed the game on such a level and I'll make sure to pass along your compliments to the voice actress and the audio engineer.

Very clever! It's been a while since I've seen a NEW idea. You not only have one, but you've executed it quite well. In the second or third bonus round, I was a little put off by the jump that you can only make if you walk out to nearly the last pixel before jumping, well past where intuition says you should have fallen. Other than that, I really like the game. I love the ones where just jumping around won't get you there, you really have to figure it all out.

Great game, great music, and great concept. It's really nice to see something new and unique, especially when its all put together in such a nice way. Keep up the good work ^^.

Really great game. Well thought out and put together. I wasn't sure what to expect when I clicked on it, but I am really glad I did.

That story, though. It looks like a little bot just lost his mother. She's dead, and she's the one reading the poem. She's trying to stop the little boy from following her, but in the end, in the last level, he kills himself to be with her. Hence, the leap of faith into the void.
I could be wrong, but that's what I got from the game. And if that's the case...this "innocent" game is very, very sad.
Your interpretation is entirely fair but there's more than one way to interpret the story. Perhaps the boy finally learns to let go of his mother and move on with his life instead of following her shadow? In this case, the story is actually quite opposite of sad.

I love the story as it fits with my childhood - and life in general. I've been searching for my Mom forever through fractured thoughts and memories; through heartache, pain and loss. From a child to an adult. I've been searching for her - because she's dead.
It may not be the original concept behind the story; but that's what a great piece of art is - it is able to be interpreted and felt at a deeper level when there isn't a direct explanation.
Phenomenal work Grozzler! I am off to play the second one now.
I'm sorry to hear that. It's comforting to see that you choose not to wallow in self pity for a life that "might have been" but instead opt to grow from the experience and become a better person for it. Thank you very much for sharing.

Good game. Would have liked it to pause-until-click after showing each levels completed puzzle. Loved the creepy poem and music.

Oh, and you need to recap the poem! I had too loud music on at first, and well, my memory is rubbish so I wouldn't remember it through doing puzzles anyhoo, but I want to see it after I play, so for the next game add the poem at the end ;)

WOW!!
Just saw Fractured 2 on the main page and went back to this one to play it first...
Must say, I'm VERY impressed... I'm a huge fan of puzzle plataformers and I must say this is a awesomely thought brand new mechanic.
Congratulations! Just some suggestions: "R" for retry, stage selection, whole poem available when done, some bonus poem line for the challenge maps!
Anyway, 5/5 for the originality and all! Thanks for the amazing mind bending situations
Rock on. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm making a list of feature requests for any new titles going forward and will make sure they get implemented. It's a little rough to go back and add things like a level select without having the art to do so. Thanks for playing.

Absolutely FANTASTIC! Insanely clever and beautifully designed. The difficulty progression was perfect, it got harder at just the right rate to not create frustration but allow you to love and look forward to the next challenge. I didn't want it to end. Originality factor is through the roof. 11/10 I hope to see sequels

That was pretty neat. I think it's interesting when you finish each level and the pieces sit themselves together, and as it turns out, it would have been an insanely easy task had they been oriented right in the first place. Scattering the pieces like that makes things a lot harder than you would think. Good work, man.

A metaphor for the shattered mind of a child who has lost his mother. Very deep. Excellent gameplay. Tragic poetry. Never has a platformer made my eyes moist with emotion. Thank You.

although a very good concept and very functional, innovative platforming, the story just felt lacking. something was just missing, i cant explain what, but it needed just something more

I was wishing that I could read the dialogue at the end, all together... or hear it! Lots track of the parts as some of the levels took me some time to get through. Great game. Lots of heart.

This is a wonderful game with a poem about how a mother is trying to find his son. The emotions you have added to the game made it well written, along with the background music amplifying it. And then, she know that all along the boy is looking for her.
The last two lines, "There is no hope in searching more; for I'm the one he's searching for." Not only that, but when the boy finds the ghost mother and falls down... It makes me believe that the boy is actually searching for a way out of a life in where his mother is dead, and the mother grieves because when she died, she felt she left her son behind.
That's definitely one way to interpret it. That's the great thing about the narrative, there is no one "right" way. I'm glad you enjoyed it and connected with the experience.

I hope and pray that I will find. The child I have left behind. For as I hear the madness gloat. A frightened scream rips from my throat. A child's love, with blind ambition. Against mt panicked admonition. Into the heart of evil's lair, I battle on without despair. And search and wander as I might. I see no ending to my plight. There is no point in searching more. For I'm the one he's searching for.
