Hey, great game, wonderful voice actor! There's not many games out there anymore with them, so it's great to see someone doing it. Also, love the style - this is a unique game, never seen one like it before.

I hope and pray that I will find
The child that I have left behind
For as I hear the madness gloat
A frightened scream rips from my throat
A child's love, with blind ambition
Against my panicked admonition (note: "admonition" means "warning")
Into the heart of evil's lair
I battle on, without despair
And search and wander as I might
I see no ending to my plight
There is no point in searching more
For I'm the one he's searching for

Also (sorry for double post), my compliments to the voice actress. Oh, and just one suggestion, level select would be nice, there was a level I wanted to replay, but I had to go through most of the game to get to it again (not that it's a hassle or anything).
I'll send your compliments to Emily, she did a great job. Sorry about the lack of level select - definitely too late to add one now - but I didn't want to break the pacing of the narrative.

For people who want it, here is the poem! NOTICE: This could spoil the game.

A neat game. The trick to putting the pieces together before you finish the level is to look for similarities in two pieces, i.e. a side's shape, features in the foreground, etc.

I have to say it's really great to see a dev responding to comments two years later. And the game was a lovely experience, thanks for that as well :)

Beautiful game, challenging, but enjoyable, also the poem added a layer of depth of wish I've never seen in a platform game. Great job, 5/5.

You definitely had an interesting mechanic going here. It really made you think on your location. Though in my opinion, I thought the poem was really cheesy and didn't add a lot to the game. It could've been fine without it. 4/5

This is a wonderful game with a poem about how a mother is trying to find his son. The emotions you have added to the game made it well written, along with the background music amplifying it. And then, she know that all along the boy is looking for her.
The last two lines, "There is no hope in searching more; for I'm the one he's searching for." Not only that, but when the boy finds the ghost mother and falls down... It makes me believe that the boy is actually searching for a way out of a life in where his mother is dead, and the mother grieves because when she died, she felt she left her son behind.
That's definitely one way to interpret it. That's the great thing about the narrative, there is no one "right" way. I'm glad you enjoyed it and connected with the experience.

Very fun game. Not too crazy difficult, but just difficult enough with a great concept and messing with people's heads to figure out the solution.

Although the execution is unique, the fact that you don't know where you're going can cause confusion - and the lack of a "restart level" can easily make things stuck, because falling off a ledge doesn't reset the boxes you may or may not have pushed into the right place.
