Description
In Iowa, the corn must grow, come rain, sleet, snow or hail. Or else...
Iowa puts the players in the role of corn farmers out in the plains of... Iowa.
Players must plant, grow, harvest, trade and cook corn in order to survive and thrive.
Nature, however, is a cruel mother, and is a constant threat to your farming plans with its unpredictable weather.
You get more workers as the seasons progress, but if you don't keep them fed, they will leave you behind.
How to Play
During the action phase, drag your worker tile to the farm plots to plant/harvest/treat, to the kitchen plot to cook, and to the market plot to trade.
During the growth phase, click the draw bag to get your growth pieces, and drag them to the green spots on your crops to place them.
Game ends when winter is over.
If you have any questions, consult the in-game rulebook, divided in sections that explain each aspect of gameplay.
Enjoy!
Developer Updates
Hello farmhands,
Weโve update the game with the following:
-Tweaked the placement mechanic so that tiles and workers stick better
-Changed the font of the rulebook to make it more readable
-Rewrote the instructions here on Kongregate, so you can pick the game up and play, and consult the rules if you have additional questions.
Any feedback is welcomed and appreciated! Enjoy!

It should be alot easier to place the workers into the tiles - its a freaking precision puzzle atm - I like the game concept though
You are trying to place them completely on top of it? Some users said they could place them by letting the worker tile go as soon as it touches the placement area. But we'll give try to tighten it up. It's puzzling because it's a simple collision check which appears to be working most of the time, so we'll investigate! EDIT: We have uploaded a new version, can you let us know if it is working better?

14 pages of explanation on how the game works? damn, i'm not sure i have the patience for that. also, the font is not very friendly to the reader
It does look a bit long, but the text is quite short and giving you an overview of how things work. We're looking at how we can format that information better, as rules are necessary in board games, or if we can create a simple tutorial to get people playing. As for the font, is the color ok? We had changed the font of the rule book for the printed version of the game, so we can also change it on the digital version if it works better. Thanks for your feedback!

This is a lot harder than the Android version with a weather forcast! Grow, corn, grow.
Yeah, I haven't had the time to bring this version up to speed with the improvements made on the Android version! Working on bringing multiplayer to the paid version, as well as an ios version, then I'll polish this guy up!

The placementis fine for me now - thank you. Now I can focus on cursing the hail and drought :D
No problem! Glad it's working better now! The android version currently features a weather forecast plot as well, which gives you an insight on the impending doom that winter will bring!
