Description
Space Squid is a simple, easy to pick-up-and-play star-collection game. It is based on the robust Box2D physics engine and simulates water buoyancy with believable realism.The player is able to leap out of the water and perform aerial stunts to help them on their way, plus squirt ink as a booster!The player character is a squid, complete with floppy tentacles - that make controlling your character part of the challenge of the game.Losing limbs on level obstacles will slow you down in your quest to collect all the stars.Swim through 60 levels and 3 play modes that get progressively harder and achieve high scores with your friends! Features full high score database, stat tracking, and instanced high scores for friendly competition between local groups.

I haven't collected a single star or gotten a single point playing this game. I swim right over the stars, and nothing happens?? For a "simple, easy to pick up and play star collection game" the stars don't seem all that simple to collect.

The turning is way too fast, and the swimming is too slow.

I agree with ChaoticBrain, the controls are too touchy for turning and not touchy enough for moving in a straight line. I'm not sure what kind of aerial stunts squids are capable of but I did find that but shooting ink and flying off the screen results in a game over. And 60 levels of this!? Holy guacamole! The features that you can have between friends is great, but this hardly seems like a game that people are going to compete in.

not that great of game. too hard to move around. if any part of the squid hits the star it should count. 2/5 for originality
