Area burst towers are very OP. One reason: the damage is almost immediate while the bullets of the other towers have to cross the screen. And the bullets are quite slow.

i just made a terribly boring strategy to beat every single level. so here it is -- build 4 towers in a square, top left and bottom right must be fire rate and range upgrades, the other two have to be area burst and anti ghost, next call as many waves as you can before the creeps actually reach your towers, if you're fast enough you can fully upgrade your area burst and ghost towers, keep calling more waves to upgrade the rate and range towers, if you're playing on hard or a level with many rounds you can turn the four towers into a mega tower. tested on insane, it's absolutely boring to do though, but if you're after the badges i guess you could do this

ok i have the ultimate strategy for the open maps what you have to do is make the lane go to the top and to the bottom all the way till the end but you cant stop to upgrade or else they will break through the recommende upgrades would have to be atleast 1 sniper on farthest area burst on the ends and poisons then the rest would be up to you

tip: dont post time after time on the game. make a thread or look for a thread, or just simply use google. it will help you with these questions.

it`s a bit hard with the 50 wave maps for me,and i`m wondering if anyone else finds them hard or if its just me,and i`m also wondering if i could have any tips and tricks for it aswell, thank you.

how almost every special level works:
Step 1 - get the upgrade to get bubbles from calling waves early
Step 2 - build an area burst and a range boost next to each other and upgrade them
Step 3 - call in all waves
Step 4 - upgrade the towers and build a damage boost
Step 5 - win

So far I beat all levels (insane etc.) with just pure area towers, and some sniper and ghost tower. Would be nice if one had to use also some other towers!

What would be super-awesome is some indication on the level select screen of whether there are any unfinished modes left for a given level!

An easy startegy for Only-Ghost levels is placing a ghost-Area burst in the middle of the map (or near the middle) and boost it with 1 range boost and other damage and fire rate boosts, and also put a few anti-ghost towers around it or at the end, to help in bosses

Why i can't put towers blocking the way in All-Ghosts mode, if they go over all the towers. I don't find the logic to that

Tower targeting is FAKE. Beating levels on easy does NOT grant access to normal mode. Great ideas in this game, but IT'S NOT FINISHED. It would also be nice to hear the music from Version 1 because it's arguably better.

"Sir should we just block the path and kill all the bubble enemies???" "NO. We have to leave the path open for the enemies to get through but we still have to kill them all with our towers."

Very easy - just put 3 towers at the get-go: area burst L3 (50b should be able to get L4 @ 115b after skipping the first 6-7 levels at once) and a normal tower, to be upgraded to L4 (90b) then your burst tower to L5 (350b) finally your sniper tower (225b).
works on easy-insane and splitter. Just pile on all the waves for massive points!
Note1: let all previous waves clear BEFORE calling EMP waves or you're going to have a bad time
Note2: works best with levels that start in a corner. for levels that start mid-side, add a few normal towers to close the path to the corner (~10 total).

My biggest issue with this game is the auto-pause if you leave the screen. it made sense with the shooters, but this is a TD with a pause button. we don't need to worry about dying horribly because we missed half a second of action.
