Trying to get the hard badge without the auto-turrets, its possible i guess. Already beat 3 campaings. Trying the 4th now... Also tried the last(5th) and its very hard.

This is the a way to beat the 1st campaing:
Got Machine Gun + 3 normal turrets(they will serve as mere tanking); Spent all updates on health; Keep repairing them after each wave; When you have enough money, change normal turret, by attack buffing or health buffing. And Good Luck!

At first, I was a bit baffled as to why the developer would give us the option to plant 4 guns when none of them autofire, but it does get easier if you just focus on using and upgrading one active gun like a machine gun at first, and delegate the rest of the slots to passive buffs, drones, mines, and such.

My advice for anyone trying to beat the game is to use the following: Heavy cannon in bottom left where it's most protected and lowest in the area, damage buffer in top left, health buffer in the bottom right, and shield tower in the middle. You'll want to shield the health buffer and get ~10 health upgrades on the damage buffer/shield tower. For the heavy cannon, get about 10 damage upgrades and you'll 1 hit most things, then get some health so it's not super vulnerable. Most incoming fire will go to the shielded health buffer, and the damage buffer upgrades by 25 hp per upgrade unlike most towers that only do 15, so it will live easily. That's pretty much it.

This concept does not work. The moment in lvl 01, you build your turrets, you are committed to them for the rest of the stage, thanks to the level & experience gap. The money you earn is useless, except the few hundrets you have to pay for repairing them. Since stage 02 I used a heavy Tower only with HP upgrades as a tank in front, a heavy tower only mit Attack Upgrades to shoot, and dual machine gun and weren't even able to use the more expensive turrets, because they suck, when I finally have the money to buy them. Much potential, but got none out of it.

I used dual machine gun as weapon (damage upgrade, put on back) + basic gun as shield (health upgrade, put in front) at all levels. After i got some money i put damage upgrade towers at free places.
It was very effective.
P.S. Flying shields can be shot with basic gun (shoot in the sky at almost max power).
At the final level you can use this strategy too, if you put mine tower at top position.

kongregate chalenge: build a dual machine gun max damage in points, 2 forges (boost attack damage), drone machine with machine guns and max out number of drones. lotsa fun

Easiest way to do the Kongregate challenge is to get 4 radio plasmid guns, and give all of them +1 damage, +1 reload. Hold and point.

Yeah, if this game was more fun and enticing, I might actually want to spend money on it. But, as it is, this is an unappealing game with useless turrets that don;t seem to work well.

Whoever made this needs to think about some obvious things. Just to name a couple: 1-there needs to be a manual save slot along with the autosave. Twice I've had to start all over on the final campaign because I didn't build the right towers throughout, and by the time I reached wave 9, it was too far along for any changes to matter. 2-When a primary weapon gets destroyed, control needs to automatically be on at least ANY other primary weapon. As it is now, the one I'm on gets destroyed, and if I don't press another hotkey, all the other turrets just sit there like retarded dipshits and get hit until they die. I can't be worried about which turret to switch to when half the screen is full of dreadnaughts and many smaller enemies, especially when which turret has which hotkey is a bit skewed.

if you're having trouble with the last level, use one damage buffer and the rest plasmids. target the planes first, their bombs hurt and they keep coming back- target the back of the elephants, the front of the blimps, and the underside of the big armor guys- and the boss weak point is the cockpit. upgrade health mostly. hope this helps.

There should be an option to man multiple turrets. It's a little stupid to have to bounce around the hotkeys for each specific one.

Only one tower can shoot! Aww, what could have been an epic win of a game turned into an epic fail. So much potential wasted on a horrible programming choice.

Fun game. Some recommendations: *Repair All* - seriously; Persistent Shielding (so I don't waste time in the beginning of each wave assigning a turret to defend - or give me a few seconds before the wave starts); once you buy all of your turrets, money is used only to repair, use money for upgrades instead of exp - since it would be suicidal to change to a level 1 weapon in later waves. Hints: Use the double machine gun - it owns, save your points to upgrade its damage, first; decoy turrets/machine gun/shield tower = win :)

Here's a better way to take the last level. Build a Dual MG in the top spot, and a Heavy Cannon in the rightmost spot. Put a health buffer in the bottom left, and damage buffers in the remaining spaces. Upgrade Damage once on the MG, then the rest into fire rate. Upgrade only health on the Heavy Cannon. Upgrade only buff strength on all the buffers. In the end, your MG will be doing 4s, and your heavy cannon will have about 500 health to soak up damage. I beat the entire level with no problem. Also, aim at the bosses propeller, you get double damage hitting there.

Badge of the day: 1) Buy apocalypse gun and any primary 2) Start wave 3) Wait until there is at least one enemy on screen 4) Fire apocalypse 5) Don't touch anything until dead. You will have a kill and a 100% accuracy, positive score, badge.

@chewietehhamster: Plasma turrets (the blue ones) can all fire at once - but they have a slow rate of fire. One dual MG is probably better.

Game starts out with super weak weapons and very strong incoming waves... forcing you to waste money on second/third gun turrets rather than saving for the more potent boosts. Then the upgrade points are wasted on the weak turrets and you're screwed.

forget what i just said, the music that i thought was the game was actually the website itself, just i failed badly, at that :(
