Only one tower can shoot! Aww, what could have been an epic win of a game turned into an epic fail. So much potential wasted on a horrible programming choice.

Fun game. Some recommendations: *Repair All* - seriously; Persistent Shielding (so I don't waste time in the beginning of each wave assigning a turret to defend - or give me a few seconds before the wave starts); once you buy all of your turrets, money is used only to repair, use money for upgrades instead of exp - since it would be suicidal to change to a level 1 weapon in later waves. Hints: Use the double machine gun - it owns, save your points to upgrade its damage, first; decoy turrets/machine gun/shield tower = win :)

Here's a better way to take the last level. Build a Dual MG in the top spot, and a Heavy Cannon in the rightmost spot. Put a health buffer in the bottom left, and damage buffers in the remaining spaces. Upgrade Damage once on the MG, then the rest into fire rate. Upgrade only health on the Heavy Cannon. Upgrade only buff strength on all the buffers. In the end, your MG will be doing 4s, and your heavy cannon will have about 500 health to soak up damage. I beat the entire level with no problem. Also, aim at the bosses propeller, you get double damage hitting there.

Badge of the day: 1) Buy apocalypse gun and any primary 2) Start wave 3) Wait until there is at least one enemy on screen 4) Fire apocalypse 5) Don't touch anything until dead. You will have a kill and a 100% accuracy, positive score, badge.

@chewietehhamster: Plasma turrets (the blue ones) can all fire at once - but they have a slow rate of fire. One dual MG is probably better.

Don't you hate it when you're firing at something near another cannon and when you fire it switches to that cannon because you "clicked" on it? >.>

Did anyone else get the badge of the day even if you lost? not sure if it was supposed to be like that or not but i lost and still got the badge.

Game starts out with super weak weapons and very strong incoming waves... forcing you to waste money on second/third gun turrets rather than saving for the more potent boosts. Then the upgrade points are wasted on the weak turrets and you're screwed.

forget what i just said, the music that i thought was the game was actually the website itself, just i failed badly, at that :(

The main issue with this game is that most of the turrets are useless. Secondaries take forever to cool down, and the only good passives are health/damage. The only primary gun that is good for anything is the heavy cannon, mainly due to the ABSURD cost to upgrade damage on the others. 10 points for 1 damage? LOL. Heavy cannon is 3 damage per 1 upgrade. That's 3000% more upgrade potential. Not to mention it can fire in arcs to hit over barriers, whereas every other primary fires in a line and cannot. Only other useful thing is the shield tower which negates bullet damage so swarms don't overrun you. Still, the gameplay is decent and there's a good variety of enemies. 3/5

Meaning of 'turret' in every other game: Something that autofires at the enemy while you attend to important business.
Meaning of 'turret' in this game: A manually-operated mounted gun.
Might want to tweak some things.

I like to imagine that the reason we can only use one gun at a time is because there's one little guy just running between the guns trying to defend their stuff

I dont know if it's just me, but I honestly do not see the appeal to this game at all. The graphics, sounds, and control are all fluid and as they should be, but overall gameplay has no fun value to it at all. What people have said about autofiring turrets is dead on. Why on earth is there a need to switch constantly between multiple cannons? Even if the autofire only shot at 50% of normal shot interval it would still be SOMETHING, as opposed to new weapons being useless, as you get off a shot before having to switch to something else. It also is worth mentioning that although I immediately disliked this game, I did give it a fair chance and have made multiple attempts at it since it came out, but still find it awful. I guess you could say this is a well put together game in terms of everything except gameplay, and as harsh as I feel it is to say, I find one star to be a drastic understatement of how bad and not fun this game is.

Auto-Fire would be nice. But i find how to get auto.Just hold the turrets especially machine gun type till the nd of the wave.the next wave it become auto byself.just dont click it again...

if you want to do the badge as quick as possible you should go obn the challenge mission "drone swarm"
(challenges are at the highest up circle on the map

For those who don't like the arc mechanics (even though it's used for the most cost-effective weapon in all of this series) there's always going for the machine-gun/double machine gun tactic and saving up points until it deals double damage or at least deals damage to destroy heavily armored enemies. for a greater boost, add damage booster, the health booster can be totally ignored, and if you need a decoy because your main gun can't take the heat just buy the basic canon, and sell it after the wave, you will have saved money on repairs, and your boosts will make a sure win in any campaign.

My tanky heavy cannon was destroyed, but still sells for 400g, so if I sell it and buy again, I'll only spend 100g instead of the 500g it costs to repair it directly.

I had a sense of in-completion when I got the medium badge for free. So I played it again with the strategy from best comments section (1 DMG with a shield gun and 2 damage buffers) I didn't even get hit once. Take that game...

I'm really sorry, but I absolutely hated the original version of this game. From what I can tell from my 3 minutes of playing this version, nothing has changed except the graphics are nicer. Maybe if I gave it a chance I might come to like it, but the controls are still godawful and the gameplay is still more frustrating than entertaining. How did this game get badges?

I love unleashing a flock of remote missiles. Nothing like having a dozen of them following the mouse around, waiting to hit an enemy weak spot.

The easiest way to do the Kongregate challenge level is NOT stupid radio plasmid guns. Buy one dual machine gun and upgrade its damage and with what's left speed. Then buy 3 damage upgrade towers and max out their damage % increase. It's way better than plasmids.

How to beat the game: Get a bunch of time guns (3+) and fire them one after the other, and use the heavy gun to take stuff down.
How to beat the game after this was patched: Get the heavy gun, decoy gun, as many damage boosters as possible, and become godlike with aim.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yeah, this is incredibly poor game design. It's not really a tower defense when only one tower gets to fire at a time. And the level ups for each tower? Ridiculous costs for all the skills that are any good. At least the first medium badge was easy to get. You don't even have to beat the level, just play it and die and it should unlock the badge.

Dual machine guns combined with damage buffers are extremely powerful. If that doesn't work on armored enemies, multiple rocket launchers with reload upgraded does the job as well.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Kongregate challenge is very easy...simply buy 3 or 4 radio guns, choose 1 you will control and max out reload time and the rest damage. Since the rest shoot when one shoots, only one reload time can be raised and the rest will follow suit, as long as your controlling that one. If you chose 3, the 4th gun is your choice. I chose the Apocalypse Cannon, but it is entirely up to you! This cannon also instantly kills the big shield ship, but i killed the kongregate ship before I had a chance to test it on that.

For campaign 4, get: machine gun, shield bot, sniper and damage boost. Put shield on machine gun, upgrade damage boost to 26% rest in health. Upgrade machine gun once on damage then fire rate.
For campaign 5 get: machine gun, shield bot, damage boost and two mines. Upgrade damage on machine gun (no fire rate), later on again. Upgrade damage boost until 50% then rest in health (you will get 5 damage on your machine gun). Upgrade shields with shield bot only, until maxed (level 5).
