I am not totally sure, but I THINK, that Homing Beacon does increase your hit box as well as your pick-up range. After I resetted upgrades and reinstalled all but Homing Beacon, I got most of the Extreme/hard badges in a single go. Might look into that, HotAirRaccoon. :)

I really appreciate the "Reset Upgrades" option in the upgrades menu. It allows great versatility in the game by eliminating the state of being confined to a fixed set of upgrades. 5/5

24 tries to get all achievement apart from the easy one for 35 games. :) Have to say, I got stuck... Reset upgrades, got everything but Homing Beacon, and did the last 3/4 achievements in one go! Pro-tip: Don't get that Beacon.

Okay three things on the saddest medium badge I ever had to earn:
1: I regretted giving my flock members pet names my first flight through.
2: Any good Soldier understands the words "follow me" is folly.
3: When did ET become a homicidal drunk flyer?

poor geese, a jet fighter ust flew straight through my entire flock of 20 and killed them all including me, how is that pilot gonna explain this

good game but could be improved with like a map or abilities plus i think the survive 3 seconds was the hardest to get

I am extremely impressed with the cross-dimensional powers of these geese. Two air vehicles that are far enough apart to miss each other will still both hit the geese. Also, I don't understand why geese will join a flock for protection - they are obviously safer by themselves.
One last warning - it appears that goose feathers, normally dangerous to aircraft, can jam your computer as well...

For the flying solo achievement, I recommend getting it out of the way before buying all the upgrades that create more birds. It gets very difficult to go 30 seconds when dodging birds gets harder then dodging planes lol

wow this city has alot of aircraft oh and did you know that most engine aircraft failures are because of birds that accidentally get sucked up in the the planes engine

Why does every pilot in Canada hate flocks? They don't hate birds, they hate flocks. They kill only the birds in our flocks. Anyone with some insight on this?

Gotta agree that surviving 3 mins was not that hard once you are upgraded since you get 3 extra lives and invincibility over oceans. I would suggest though getting some of the achieves before upgrades like flying solo.

@Balbanes That is what Poseidon and Phoenix are for. They make it not as insane as it first seems. You are allowed to die 3 times, more if any of them are over the ocean.

@Icklem I can't see any reason why you'd need to turn off upgrades for any of the achieves except possibly reducing your collection size for Beourgeois, and that is nice, but not required.

Surviving 3 minutes is really difficult! I've had all the upgrades for a right many attempts now, and still my best time is 144.7 sec and my high score 941281. I'm about to start attempt #49. This should definitely be a hard badge! Also, who's the joker at Kongregate who thinks we all have all day to get a BotD?

This game is so unrealistic. When do you ever see blimps anymore? Crazy air traffic and flying saucers are legit though.

Am I the only one who had no problem with surviving for 3 minutes, but cried so hard when it comes to earn the "bourgeoisie" achievement ? Alyways I agree with a top comment : the medium badge should be a hard badge.

If you have problem getting Bourgeoisie, try removing Homing Beacon and Rain Dance.
To keep flying for 3 minutes, you should try to relax when you are over the ocean, so that you can focus more over the land (I assume you have Poseidon's Blessing upgrade).

A lot of you are having trouble surviving for 3 minutes. There is a pretty simple trick. Place your bird in the bottom left corner. Click off screen. Open a new tab. Come back in 4 minutes. Your welcome.
