In the last few levels you will need a lvl 5 barbarian to push the baddies back so you can build your quadrant of fire mages

I would like to see the amount of hit points an enemy has remaining...not that it would affect any decisions made in the game though...

i found the game really easy, i would only struggle to start some of the later levels, but once i got a mage or two going, i had no problems, and 3 stared every level on the first try, very fun game, a couple additions could polish it up very nicely, like a healing spell

Hunters are so overpowered. Grab three of them on the bottom lane and no one is getting past. Then you just build more from there and halfway through (around level 15 with 32 in wand and hunter maxed) you have 12 hunters and you don't have to do anything.

I forgot to mention in my previous comment that I've given this game 3 out of 5 stars, alas, no favorite though. Good game. I hope you take this criticism and improve upon it.

I'm not sure what sort of problem everyone else is having but to me, this game is rather fun. I haven't finished it yet but I certainly intend to- The music is unique and pleasant to hear at first but it does get a little repetitive. My only peeves are how useless some of the upgraded classes are-Namely the Water Mage, Elf, and Barbarian. They have a slight jump on damage than their counterparts but are SO SLOW it's not worth it. You may want to look into balancing that.

on level ten if you fill your barracks all with mages, it becomes completely impossible to win. You can hit the king's guards with fireball, but it wont reach the king, none of the mages can hit the king, and none will ever be killed, there is no way to fire them, so you can never get any archers to kill the king. Please change this.

how to win: put a mage (girl) on the bottom row in the back, an archer above her and one soldier down. Only upgrade soldier when he is about to die as this restores health, upgrade mage asap until you can change her job to fire mage, at this point upgrade archer until he can change to hunter (red hair) continue upgrading hunter as his rate of fire will increase drastically, max him out. Then max out the fire mage and the solider. Add more archers, either a bunch of 1st levels, or one at a time upgrading to the max (doesn't matter). In between rounds only upgrade the grinning dragon wand, at first it will only increase mana gana by i point every couple of levels up, around level 25 it will also drastically increase and the game is cake, besides your soldier no one should take any damage.

You only need to upgrade your staff, when its level 30 you're unstoppable. Set quality to high so it runs slow then you can upgrade your guys as high as possible before the first enemy arrives.

The fact that most of the units in this game are sadly underpowered and insufficient to repel anything makes me wonder if the developer even bothered to test the game out. Seriously, how could they not see how unbalanced the units are?

how do i beat level 10? ive been playing for 15 minutes and the goblin king never moved and the progress bar never increased

I think you need
1) a larger skill tree, like things cost less mana, either initial placement or upgrades.
2) different difficulty levels
3) be able to make taller towers/barracks (don't know if that occurs later in the game, only about halfway through)

Upgrade your grinning dragon staff first (So far I have upgraded only the staff, now at level 25) and the game is really easy, don't waste stars on the units upgrades

It seems that you can win with only fire mages. I haven't used anything but fire mages (other than just trying some hunters) so far and haven't had any problems. I fully upgraded everything I need a while ago and I'm just trying new things. The biggest challenge is getting enough mages down and upgraded in the first few seconds so I don't get overrun. I tried the same thing with hunters but I seem to always get overrun in those first few seconds. If I do the same with mages, it's just a matter of waiting for the level to end.

I rated this a 4 because while there are plenty of flaws, there are a lot of good things about this game and it looks great. You seem to really care about how the game is received and have been making fixes. I hope you make more games in the future.

In the modern era, a game that derives any of its challenge from bad controls is a bad game. It's fine to have a game that is detailed and pretty, and therefore slow (though I've seen plenty of higher-detail games that don't run this slow) but you have to process player inputs before you process hostile movements. Some fixes:
1>Hotkeys for unit production.
2>Allow sword units to be upgraded while away from their home location.
3>Process mouse clicks and points before moving mobs in each frame. There should be no game-time that passes between the time a player points at a control, and the time it becomes clickable. Similarly, there should be no game-time that passes between the time a player clicks to place a unit and the time that unit appears.

Only problem I have right now is that the game is SOOOOOO SLOW... I takes like 10 minutes to finish the later waves and 9 of the is spent just watching my guys shoot things. The fast forward button doesn't even do anything noticable, if at all. If you can add a 2X Speed or even 5X Speed like HadesTribute or insight cat suggested, then I'd give it a 5/5, but right now it's a 4/5. Great game otherwise ^_^

2 things people keep seeming to fail to realize:
1. The reason archers are weaker is due to the fact they can aim at any level. And while this is useless for the first set of levels, or at least nearly so, it becomes VITAL for all the levels after. And the highest level Hunter is much faster than the highest fire mage, so things tend to equal out when you take in the any level aiming.
2. The upgrades. First, everything should be going towards the wand in the first set. Once that's fully done, you can start taking advantage of the other upgrades. While yes, they do increase the initial cost, the main thing people keep forgetting is that they DECREASE the overall cost, since you get to "skip" levels of upgrading, meaning you're not paying for them. Also, in later sets, the time it takes to upgrade your units can actually be deadly, so being able to start with a level 5 mage and immediately bump it up to fire or water is a life saver.
I've been thinking to implement this feature too. But it will affect the game performance. I'm focusing on increasing the game performance by now, maybe I'll add this feature on the sequel later. Thanks for your comment. :)

The "Killed by" stats are clearly incorrect. I'm on stage 13, and i can't remember placing a warrior since stage 4 or so, yet the Stats page claims that warriors have killed 504, more than the other 2 types combined?!? I'm thinking "No." (am using mostly mages/fire mages; archers only for the boss fight, but mage kills = 249, archer kills = 179... >.>)

Tested Second tier classes upgrades. Makes upgrading the basics well worth it considering you can get the fully upgraded unit at 1/4-1/3 the full price.
