Under rating threshold (show) It would be better if the unit box didnt shut after you upgrade, it takes a while to reselect a unit, especially if its a soldier and they're running around. Sometimes I just want to be able to keep upgrading.

Under rating threshold (show) It needs some other way to level up your soldiers. It is hopless when they run around to hit them with the mouse and even if you hit the click doesn't take, because of lag I'm guessing so you have to try click it again...

Developer response from hwank

I have added a new speed option, but you will still need a good computer to feel the change. If the game still feels too slow, I am sorry. I'm working to improve the game performance but it will take a lot of work and time, so please be patient. This is the average requirement for the current game version : AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ and 2GB ram. I am really sorry for any disturbance.

Under rating threshold (show) Needs a huge rebalancement. Fire mage is way overpowered, while Ice mage is totally useless. The same applies to every other unit: some are pointless, some are divine beasts. And the screen is too little to allow real strategy. 3/5.

Developer response from hwank

Fire mage can only attack one enemy at a time, while water mage can cast a dragon which will attack the entire enemy in one line. Along with the level, you will need to use a combination of these two mages. I have changed the game's difficulty. The previous version will give you small challenge until the 2nd boss, but it will give you more challenge now. Thanks for the comment anyway. :)

Under rating threshold (show) what I find a bit frustrating is that in order to increase skill you also greatly increase the cost (mana) of units at beginning of battle. This really handcuffs you when trying to set units during the early onslaught. It would be nice to be able to increase the skill level but also have option of buying the cheap unit at beginning and increase through upgrades during battle.

Under rating threshold (show) Huge potential, but the game gets unplayable at the higher levels. Too much is happening too fast with no way to quickly select and place/upgrade multiple units. Things that would improve this: 1) An ability to select units (to place) with number keys 2) Selecting units on the board somewhere other than clicking on them, so that melee won't obscure ground-position units. 3) The ability to pause the game while placing and upgrading units. 4) A general upgrade in the interface so that clicks are more likely to register. 5) Quick cast spells (hotkeys) 6) A better mechanic for picking up potions; mouseover seems ideal. I really enjoy the frenetic pace of the game but once things start to get too busy it's next to impossible to keep up simply because the UI is unfriendly.

Under rating threshold (show) It'd be nice if there was a way to heal the characters without having to upgrade them... it becomes quite a hefty fee having to upgrade someone just to restore health

Under rating threshold (show) what would really improve the game would be some kind of regeneration for your soldiers, because its imo really annoying that you have to upgrade them all the time just to keep them alive

Under rating threshold (show) for those of you saying it gets too hard after the first few levels: UPGRADE YOUR STAFF FIRST. get it up to at least 16 before any of your other stuff is over 1. you can always re-assign your points. not that difficult, certainly not "soul crushing". who says that?

Under rating threshold (show) Great game, needs some way to heal your soldiers after they reach level 5. Maybe a healing spell or even better a healing unit (like a priest). There should be a unit select sidebar where you can select various units (such as soldiers) on the same place on the side of the screen. Therefore solving the difficult to target moving units problem. Archers need a "slight" buff, but nothing too major. There needs to be hotkeys. You should be able to hold down a key (like the shift key or something) when you're upgrading units if you want to upgrade the units multiple times, this would keep the upgrading window open so you could keep on upgrading to your hearts content. A unique twist to the typical tower defense, love it! I'm excited for the sequel.

Under rating threshold (show) clickfest detracts from the fun. need hotkeys. there are only 6 choices after all. having to click potions also becomes too tedious later on especially with the small ones with their small area with lag in the way. mouse over should be fine. hotkey for upgrading. i understand the difficulty of having hotkeys for units placed. it's not as realistic an option as others think. i believe it is sufficient right now in having to select them at their occupied slots. but for soldiers maybe you should keep the health bar at the soldiers "occupied" slot as well, maybe if you put some space under the ground and put the bar there. so we know where free soldier slots are and we have a stationary point to click for selecting the soldiers. of course it would need an icon or some sort of identifier to indicate the soldier's job since we will no longer be tracking the actual soldier and his current garb.

Under rating threshold (show) I dont see how Elfs have ANY use at all. their are inferior in any way to the hunter... even with their triple shot. Elf lvl 5: 70(x3), 10 speed. this is 210*10=2100. Hunters have only one shot but far more speed. Hunter Lvl 5: 85 dmg, 30 speed. 85*30= 2550. Hunters cost the EXACT same as the elfs and also have far more hp. so please, PLEASE make those elfs more special, since they have not a single use in the game.

Under rating threshold (show) While the game runs right the first 15 levels, from that point on, the huge quantity of troops makes it quite difficult to efficiently assign levelups, construct or anything. Right now I'm playing level 17 and I can only try to summos soldiers as fast as they die, 'cause everything else consumes more time: to level up a soldier I need to first to successfuly click on that unit, go to change job and select the disired one... and by that time it's most of the times dead. Perhaps a limited pause-orders fuction?

Under rating threshold (show) would be good if there's hot key instead of click on solder to select 'em, it's kinda hard to click when they move to attack and suddenly stand near/on monster, and if I can't click on right solder who nearly dead, they die 'cos I can't lvl 'em up in time. also would be good too if there's heal spell or any other way to heal solder. btw great game 4/5!! ^^

Under rating threshold (show) People are talking about guides. Here it is plain and simple. Build fire mages, starting from the bottom level up. Cast the rain spell to slow enemies down if tehre are too many. Upgrades go to the staff and mages -> Fire Mage. Once those are maxed out just put them wherever, you won't need anything else teh entire game.

Under rating threshold (show) It seems that you can win with only fire mages. I haven't used anything but fire mages (other than just trying some hunters) so far and haven't had any problems. I fully upgraded everything I need a while ago and I'm just trying new things. The biggest challenge is getting enough mages down and upgraded in the first few seconds so I don't get overrun. I tried the same thing with hunters but I seem to always get overrun in those first few seconds. If I do the same with mages, it's just a matter of waiting for the level to end.

Under rating threshold (show) ok, this game is great... BUT... 1) there needs to be a way to build/upgrade faster. Easy version: hotkeys. 1234 for building stuff, u for upgrading. 2) selecting one of 6 units that charge is just frustrating. frustrating games are no good. maybe add icons for your fighters at the bottom? 3) minor issue: the level page should open where you were last time, so i dont need to scroll every time. otherwise great, 4/5

Under rating threshold (show) Good enough to keep my focus. I'm currently only wondering 3 things: 1) When upgrading the units in the unit screen. Shouldn't they rather get some + % in effectiveness than a new lev. If you upgrade units in the beginning, you only make them unbuyable. 2) Doesn't the 20 vs 280 max damage of lev 5 archers vs magicians mean you'll never buy archers? 3) Will there ever be an implementation of some kind of regen on the trooops, alt "heal spel" ?

Under rating threshold (show) "tip" when facing the last boss. Remember the units accompanying him are weak. If you place barracks in front of your dragonmanor, the boss will attack those instead of the dragonmanner. Fill your dragonmanor with max level fire mages while every once in a while placing an empty barrack in front of your dragonmanner to keep them busy. You will need a single soldier on the front lines to keep the units at bay while your fire mages destroy everything. Works like a charm. Note while the boss is most likely to attack the first barracks, if you have multiple barracks he may choose randomly, and he can destroy multiple barracks simultaneously. So stacking barracks is not a good idea.

Under rating threshold (show) Other things you could do, make Water Mags become healers. Do little damage but able to heal swordsmen. Mainly because Water Mages < Normal Mages in terms or attack speed and damage. Lv5 Mage has 280 atk and 9 aspd. Water Mages start with 100 +25x atk and 3 aspd. Better to just stay with normal ones as water mages cast once and mages already casted 3 times doing more aoe damage.

Under rating threshold (show) With the chaos of the game, in the beginning of the later stages that is, it would be nice if there were shortcut keys for the placement of each thing. Like "1" being the tower, "2" being soldier, etc. This would make it much easier to play and allow us to keep up with the flow of the game a bit easier. I can see the original need for an increase in speed after you're finished placing all your units but until that point, I'd actually prefer a pause or slow down button if there isn't an implementation of the shortcut keys. Otherwise, like the game quite a bit.

Under rating threshold (show) Some comments about it so far from playing: -I really like the graphics and the art style. It makes it a cute little game, haha. -I would recommend having an HP bar above the enemies as well and also a damage counter to see how much damage could be done with each strike. -Like the above said: upgrading sometimes would make the units cost too much. -More variety in skills? -Enemies needs more distinguishing features between each and also a beasitary of them?
