ok it must just be me, but there seems to be no way out of yarmouth (the place the game starts you in), nobody to talk to, nothing to buy, nothing to fight....every arrow out of the area is red and won't let you go anywhere.....

Umm... if you equip the mana stone and just open the charactger screen, you regen mana... is it supposed to be that easy?

Very very well done! I love the art and music, not a game I really have the time or patience for, but since it's obvious how much time you put in I give it a 5/5 anyway.

Named my weird tentacle thing R'lyeh because it reminded me of Cthulhu, then I see the name Yarmouth and it reminds me of Innsmouth. Hah.

Good game, just two pieces of advice - after a fight, hot-key space or something to the continue button and hotkey the spells to numbers or something; second, add a help file for bought gear, explaining that benefits are cumulative for each item bought.

I've actually been working on the same kind of game for the past couple weeks. Looking at this makes me realize the difference in layout and graphical quality. Mine is a simple black screen with a text interface. I'll have to step up my game visually if I want it to compete with something like this. Looks nice so far.

Don't know if anyone already said this but if you dont mind waiting, the health and mana regen equipment still have an effect even if you arnt in battle. So make sure to take advantage of it rather than wasting gold on pots.

i was sitting and thinking "game is soooo easy. why there is no auto fight option?" unless i took a boat across and found the SCREAMING PEPPER))))) ahahah

I never had to purchase one potion throughout the entire game. Just alternate 1 for 1 Strength and Dexterity, And put all of your gold into buying armor. If you do a little bit of leveling, especially after you get the extra drop rate relic, you just plain stop taking damage.

To anyone having trouble:
1) Use your skill points
2) Buy armor and weapons before you get killed
3) Just splurge your skill points evenly between attack and dexterity
This worked for me up until i got to the sea of black, when i started getting some vitality.

also, reseting skill points reverts mana back to 40. you can heal yourself in battle, go back and reset and then repeat. wonder if the pixie art will get the dev in trouble :)

For a very easy, if boring, time, put all points into dexterity. I walked right through to the boss and killed him without taking a single hit.

I see there is a line from the show Firefly in here. The one with the diary entry about the crazy sister and being kidnapped by hill folk. Nice to see a fan line abut that show.

I can clearly see you put a lot of effort into this game, and the result is simply brilliant. I loved every single description, and i hope you'll be proud of your work, reading my comment, at least half as much as I am enjoying playing it. Thank you, Hyptosis. 5/5

ok, so after messing around at flenn (the wandering merchant guy) after he lets you reset your stat points, here is what I think each does: Strength - increase damage. Dex - increase hit chance (went from 13 to 5 and missed almost every time - 13 i hit fairly often), int - increase mana, luck - increase critical chance? hope it helps someone.

Dex- ist the most important stat, put all points in it , until arount 50-ish,, then fill up attack, ...but it gets kinda boring when you are unbeatable , was more fun in mid lvls, where you had to use heal spell and had to watch your mana... but well written , i liked it good work hyptosis,

Cool game but a little unbalanced I think. If you pump all points into dexterity you can beat the wizard without him hitting you.

Good Game. The ending was a let down after all you go through to get to the end . The land was safe and they all lived happily ever after. The End.

Tip: Don't press continue after a battle until you see the experience go up. If you press it too quickly, you will not get the experience. + so people see this

A well made game and well thought out even to the smallest detail. However, it's a game that really requires time to enjoy, but time is a luxury I really don't have and would love to invest in this game to really see what this game can offer. I can see some old school stuff already, so I can understand where your coming from. Congrats, just wish I had time to enjoy this game.

Fairly well done game, and I love the retro feel.. however it is MUCH too difficult to heal once you start the wood elf portion. Potions are madly expensive and having to get all the way back to town to rest is near impossible after a while.

Actually a pretty interesting game...but you need a significant amount of time if you want to read all that descriptive text.
