the upgrades shivving heroic knife and gold star suggest there is a penalty for accidentally stabbing someone but the "tutorial" message about the shivving button says "officials don't care about this, of course" (like taunting)

It is disturbingly satisfying winning the fourth race by shivving nine people. You actually have to strategize, shivving the fast people first and then slowing down purposefully towards the latter half of the race, sometimes even picking up penalties, so that you can let the slower people pass you and get a shiv to the back.

5/5 Awesome. A game about Soviets running footraces in which many many people get ACCIDENTALLY stabbed, bitten, kicked, insulted, and have their chocolate stolen. Flawless.

If you're struggling on 3rd/4th races; You're better off unlocking everything before you try attempting winning first place in both races. Personally, I just spammed kick, bite, taunt, and stab throughout the entire race whether or not officials were watching, all while hitting Sprint as often as I can. I did not use any of the bribing options. Good luck!

What helped me winning the 4th race (besides stabbing everyone): Using taunt at the start, regularly using sprints to stab the leading competitors first and always donate, when officials are present and the weather is fine.

Anyone else notice that the developer specifically made it so that shanking people has a different cool down timer than the rest of the dirty tactics? Never mind the shocking deliberation, but that doesn't seem very equal.
