this would be really interesting to see with a growth/upgrade setting. sharper claws, slowing your decent, a double jump that recharges, ability to see larger areas of the screen, a higher jump, an estimation ability that puts a band showing where your jump might land you that gets more accurate with time.

Finally, a game that will make my ESC key match my WASD and arrow keys. And when I say match, I mean ESC is gonna rub off.

for everyone rating way down because it is luck "based" (I put based in quotes, because while luck is a small part, the game isn't based on luck), stop. Even if it was, that does not mean it is a bad game. It is still fun, and doesn't deserve anything below 4/ (but I'm rating 5/5 because I really enjoyed it :) )

Imagine, you are a purple man with extreme jumping abilities, and somehow find yourself at the bottom of a vertical tunnel covered in electric spikes, and a giant climbing laser. A typical tuesday.

Welcome test subject #38710293 you have come here to fulfill the roll of test subject #38710292.
Any questions?
..Yeah...What happened to the other test subjects? what were they testing?
They were testing to see if our many traps were up and running...You'll never know when an enemy might come wall jumping am I right?

Nice game. I do not think it is luck based as you yourself choose how long you hold down the escape key and therefore control how high/long you jump. I would say it is almost a reaction game, and a good one at that.

This game is proof that it is possible to create a good game, and graphics mean nothing or very little. Hell, anyone can create a modern warfare ripoff. This game is simple yet fun.

Ill get alot of hate, But the fact is, I dont care :). This game is not good at all, Well i guess i cant say not good, It is a great idea for using the "ESC" key. I was hopeing for more of a escape game but ehhh whatever. But the puzzles are all too close, I jump away from one spike just to hit another.... Whatever you guys say "ITS NOT LUCK BASED" "STOP TROLLING" Before i hear all this crap, This game is WAY WAY WAYYYYY luck based, There is no way you can go up this thing with a laser up your rear end and trying to avoid pixel perfect spikes, If thats not luck based then the 2/5 i gave this game is imaginary.

This game is pure fun. Just addicting, now there is just one thing in my mind: "I need a better score!" The concept of Escape is a straight success: Keep it simple and make a great game.

I jumped up to the laser and fell down before it activated, in the hopes it would rise up and i wouldn't have anything chasing me...

Finally a game for my escape key, poor little guy just sitting there only gets attention when I need to pause a game and bring up a menu.

I fail at this game so much... but I can't stop trying. 4/5. Great game, but seems a bit bare. Would love to see a number 2.

Got 110 meters on my best try (3rd one). Downsliding on the wall should be much slower so you can aim your jumps better, in my few attempts I encountered a seemingly unpassable cluster of spikes. Overall good game, levels should be easier, escape key should be optional. 2/5

It's a little frustrating how if one pixel can determine if you lost or not. Many times I had thought I made it only to find out that perhaps the tip of that ninja hood was touching the electrified panel and I fell to my death. But I suppose that's the whole point of the game and I found it extremely addictive and satisfying even if I did encounter one or two impossible jumps. The music is nice and retro with an upbeat tempo reminding you of the situation you're in, the jumps are complex and strategic, and the game punishes you enough for going too fast that you have to stop and think before approaching even though that death laser is chasing you. Bravo to you creators.

Loving this! Took me a little while to realise you can influence your jump power by how long you hold the key; once I'd got that, the movement felt just joyous. The graphics give it style and place without being distracting, and the music gives it atmosphere and pace. All of it comes together for that perfect just-one-more-try game.
