Fun little game, although it could improve some. It was a great tribute, but some suggestions I thought up of include just pressing space bar instead of clicking on Play Again?, and it was strangely challenging, I found it hard to get very far because you had to have impeccable timing to get over the rock and dodge the lazers being shot from the UFO. Also, I think it could've been better if you had more than one life. But still, well done for being made in five hours. 4/5

The pixel art is great. The background creates a nice effect. It has that retro feel. The only things that are missing are music and a real fleshed-out game. This is really nice for 5 hours, though.

_insert jerkish remark about how this game is somehow pathetic even though it was made in only 5 hours_. Hehe.
Actually not too bad for that amount of time :)

As much as I love the fact that someone out there actually cares enough about Moon Patrol to make this game... well, it stinks. No guns, no score, and the buggy stops moving forward in the air. But hey, I'm gonna splurge and give this one a 3 just because it's Moon Patrol. You can hang with my crew any day.

Haha, well I'm not sure about which handbook you're referring to, but I coded this game from scratch, and photoshopped the graphics from three old screenshots of the original game. Yeah, it took me about five hours to do it so I know it leaves a lot to be desired... but at least the code (3 class files and a flash file) is original.

It's obvious that only five hours was spent on the development of this game... Nice flashback, but this wasn't fun back then, either. 1/5
