A trick nobody knows:After you catch the "scrolling"(in the very beginning of the game) you will gain a level...after that try refreshing the game...you will end-up with the "scrolling" and the other beast you choose earlier,fighting another "scrolling",kill the second "scrolling" and you will level up again...(try to refresh it again and farm it!You will level-up fast!!)

this is probably the best beast cature game aside from pokemon because they kind of invented the genre. also, the lag seems to have letup some so im changing my rating to 5/5.

saved game arent reload to my last login.. quest were reset, pets used to have 4 but now become 2. maps with bushes are all gone.

Well... I said before I couldn't give a game with a powerbar 5/5 but.. I changed and got used to it and it deserves 5/5! Love it! :)

The power bar is an essential part to any game with the same principals of this one, this is because if there weren't power bars the game would be over in a few hours of play, where as if there are power bars the challenge is increased along with how many hours of play is put in to completing it. For me this enhances my dedication to completing a game that takes time and precision to get it just right, I hope this could be said for you.

Another "Buy energy and items" money grub kind of game.
It's rating is clearly artificially inflated by Kongregate, like many others of it's kind.
I just rated it 1/5 (I woulg give 0 stars if I could), posted this comment and closed the window.

Wow. I actually like this game. I'm not sure what you're doing, but you're obviously doing something right. Still, the power bar is annoying. Worst thing to ever be invented for a game. Still, good game. 4/5 stars from me.

Wauw! This game is amazing! I would say it's even better than Pokémon.. But the powerbar... I will never be friends with a powerbar :p Anyways! This game is simply genius! 4/5 stars! A game almost can't get 5/5 if it has a powerbar to me.. :/

This is by far the best browser capture game I have ever played.
As a hugh fan of Pokémon/capturing games I always get excited seeing a new one and always gets disappointed from it. But not this time!
Two major things most capturing games miss but this game nailed is the type variety, first of all.
When you have only 3-4 types the game is played like a Rock-Paper-Scissors which is annoying.
Second, every area from the starting one has a great deal of beasts and always with variety.
The thing I'm missing the most though, is some way to revive/heal all of your beats for free.
Is it to much to ask for a full heal when all of your party dies?
We've greatly reduced the use of Energy and I think you will see in the future we will be listening to everyone's feedback on Energy. Give it another shot!

First I had trouble using the arrow keys when I expanded the screen, now the game takes forever to load. It's a great game, but it definitely has some bugs still.

Great game. What i see as somewhat annoying is the way of the revive system... atm i keep loss 2 monsters from each battle and i have to continue use 30 sec after each battle to revive and heal them up.. maybe some faster feature would be great :)

ey insomniac, could you add a trade feature to the game? Started playing with some people I know IRL and would like to be able to trade with them, perhaps you could also add a mode that let's your friends be in the same area with you?

love the game but here are some good and bad things you did
good- interesting beasts, fun home system, good egg system, interesting well drawn move, available for all age groups
bad- third evos are obese, making this like a facebook game with energy and premium money

the bigest problem with lag happens when traveling from planet to planet, twice ive have to refreash because of the lag from travling from planet to planet

for a game in beta this is REALY good but because of the energy being a bit anoying and the game is a little slow and lagy im giving it a 4/5.

insomanic this is the best beat capturing game i have EVER played and if you make more of games like this (i mean not beast capturing) but like diffrent types you will be very good game makers

Tips: Keep beasts around even levels because some of the challenges (like the moon guards) are based on your highest level). All of the starter pets are decent. Try to get types that have strengths where your starter is weak against. Make friends to collect glowbugs early. Use your lunar on beast feeders to increase your max beasts as well as get some income. Complete the main quest on each planet (and a few extra on the main sector 1 planet, you will need to come back) to unlock the next sector. Good luck Outernaut.

I just wasted 20 Energy to search a red glowbug, and recieved not a single red one.

@Manaco, are you still unable to get into the game? We're working on a related bug that was causing the play now button not to work, but it seems to only affect some people and not others or maybe it was only happening part of the time. If you're still not able to get in please tell me and we'll see if we can narrow down what's going on.

@mrpeters, sorry about that, we haven't seen that bug before but I'll take a look at it. Do you know what beast you were trying to capture and what level it was? I'm going to see if I can reproduce the problem. (This is Brian from Insomniac btw)

I think there's a bug when it comes to stats of things.
For example: The gravity orb said there was a 100% chance of capturing the monster and yet it failed to capture it.

This game looks to be very good, sadly with this insanely low energy bar it`s impossible to be sure. After 5 minutes there`s nothing to do but wait.
Hey finks, thanks for playing. We have altered our Energy system recently to make it much more lenient. You start with more, the recharge rate is lower, and Energy drops more! Hopefully, that helps. Thanks for the feedback!

@Rumbl3Fish: Well, the game so far is quite good apart from the infernal Energy bar but...well... I guess you feel like it's needed in a game like this for a little control and to be able to add a tree of features bound to it.
The idea is extremely similar to Pokémon but the gameplay is quite good, it was well made and quite unique.

I got sucked into it, so that works, but coming back to it later? I might just forget about it, no offence it just seems like everywhere you turn theres some kind of game like this. Kong is supposed to be a free online game site, but these days they know people will spend small money to make it big!.. the funny thing is, the free games out there, thats the games people are coming back to play each day. good luck with your game I hope it brings you good fortune, but thats all i see this as.

Sorry guys but I'm voting no on this. You actually made it harder to play this game than it should be and failed to actually cause a good hook. I know the artwork is gorgeous, if only the gameplay and control scheme could be just as gorgeous.

Interesting how "Rumbl3Fish" is a level 1 user, not K+, got 1 comment on a game, joined in August and got 40 points so far and still is able to comment on this game... Though I must say that the most amazing thing is that he gave this a positive comment before the game even came up on the Beta part of the site...
Hey mrpeters, just so you know we have made the Energy system a lot more lax since you played. You can get a ton more playtime in now! Give it another shot!
