Is it possible to put a way to stop the base from firing, when it attacks the units that rebound damage it makes it so that a perfect cannot be achieved

Not quite sure what the point is of having two challenges that require 100% perfection. Once you have 100% perfection, is there any further point to playing?

Okay, I give up -- I clearly have no idea what I'm doing. I've been playing level 13 for THREE DAYS. I wish I was exaggerating. Can someone, anyone, please tell me how you're supposed to beat this game? Or at least level 13?
I know the advice is "ignore air units" but the helicopters chew me up and spit me out. If I buy lasers and AA guns, I don't have enough money to defend the ground attack (like the shielded apocalypse tanks in wave 32).

If my base shoots anything when overdrive is active, it will receive damage. And with this I cannot get perfect and excellent rating even when all gates are safe.

@ Lurch, first of all, air units do not hit base, second, i think the reason you are not getting perfect might be related to how many air units you left escape. of course, i might be wrong about the second part, but you can start from the not letting any air units escape part and see if you can get that perfect score

I cannot get a perfect in lvl 18, the base is at the front, I think the air units are some how hitting it, by this stage in the game the enemies are not even getting half way to the first gate so I am not sure why I dont get the perfect

The air units come in from the opposite side, but they still spawn randomly on that side. When air drops can come in and their drop spot is right in front of them, they are impossible to defend against. It is really frustrating.

Support stations:
Shield: Perfect for gates
Comm: Expensive, not very necessary
Ammo: Nice, but not needed if you build strong combos
Recon: For jammers
Repair: Great combo with shields for gates and bases
Buildings:
Air support: Useful in early-middle game. Good for sneaky wall destroyers or speeders
Wall factory: Useful in whole game
Recycle plant: Best structure in game. Overpowered. Upgrade3= 99% victory
Research: Nice, but I only build this to get repair station
Weather center: Storm is very funny, but not necessary. Build if you want Emp Cannon upgrade3

Towers guide:
Basic towers:
Mounted gun: For early wavess, you are ok with upgrade2, upgrade3 isn't necessary
AntiAir: Early-middle waves, combine with stun gun
Cannon: Not necessary, use only if you need help with jammers
Missile towers: Very useful in early-middle game. Once you have tesla-emp missiles are weak
Tesla tower: A beast, easy to upgrade, use with stuns & emp . Brutal combo in middle-advanced game
Advanced towers:
Stun gun: Basic combo with any tower. Easy to upgrade, useful in whole game.
Irradiator: Nice tower for middle-advanced game, you need a few to get tesla
AntiAir Laser: Forget air enemies :)
Antishield Laser: Expensive and weak, i don't like this tower
EMP Cannon: Another Beast. Brutal combined with tesla and stun. Spam emp cannons everywhere

I like the game. One of the better TD games. The air towers, they are fine... every game must have one "challange factor" and i think that are not so hard as some say.... ;)
If you think in a "Canyon defense 3" , try to innovate like this (if you want):
1) Observer tower: Like in "Epic Battle Fantasy 3" to know the stronger/weak Tower again enemy.
2) Statistics about the towers.
3) That is only one freak ideia.. but, can you "join" one Tower Defense Game + Risk Map + Atack Tower game (like when you defend you build towers, and when you atack a new territory you are in "the other side", try to destroy the base placing the units you have/can. Your objective will be conquer the continent. Like in risk game, have bonus when joint one continent, and like tower games will have achivements to up the towers, units, etc.
I don't think if is a good idea or not, but the 3 in 1 will be stupendous!!! think about it! say something please
But this game is 5 stars, hope gets badges.

I just finished level 27 with 117k cash. This game gets too easy in later waves... Maybe put a limit on recycle plants?

@fmfbrestel most of the upgrades record how many you have BUILT, not how many you OWN. Build/sell/build lets you reach a lot of unlocks, although it is basically bleeding money.

Honestly, one of the better TD games I've played in quite some time. For those complaining about air defense... dont. Air enemies dont attack your home base, your homebase shoots them. You can throw 4-5 AA towers between the entry point and your towers and tear them apart. They're basically flying money. Humorously, the cannon tower...well... it sucks, a bit. okay against the jammer bosses, but otherwise, its pretty useless at least in the parts of the game i've played so far (only level 12). All in all, a lot of levels, achievement upgrade system implemented well, not too much luck-variance, nice difficulty curve. Over all, just a very well made game. I hope it gets badges.

zombi: hard at first, but fairly doable now; on later levels you'll have the time to unlock stuff. Jammers: slow them down (stun or EMP) and nuke with cannons, or use recon stations to get enough range. Clusterbots: slowdown, then cannons/airstrikes for the small bots. Air isn't too hard now, just get enough AAs up in time; wall factory is useful anyway and boosts them. @Derkassierer: kill all enemies, preserve gates/base AND do as many unlocks as possible (60 is full) in a level; all perfect makes the latter much easier.

This game is cool and ridiculously hard. Achievements-unlock-upgrades sucks. Why grind out 15 recycling centers when they require me to stockpile 1000 credits? How do I win if I'm not spending money? It sucks that it's useless to grind older levels, by and large. However, I have found that level 11 will work as a grind level if done right.
Further, it sucks that you have to do certain things in the actual level to unlock weapons and stations. Again: save 1000 credits. Or: build three Air Support Facilities. It would be something if the requirements were useful but who the hell needs three ASFs? Or: build 10 advanced towers. Those things are expensive and not worth having ten of for the most part, especially in early levels.
Anyway... I'm still playing it. But more out of stubbornness than anything else. Oh, and the hope that the bottleneck opens up and I can sandbox a bit instead barely getting by my creativity and spunk.

the jammers are really hard to beat coz they disable all your guns if their too close including the base AA gunsa re alright with bombers but anything esle their useless

@Selva: Cannons. Lots and lots of Cannons. That's how you kill the Regen Shield Tank. You will not kill it until it is pounding on the second gate right in front of the base. Once it gets out or range of your initial defenses at the entrance to the canyon, sell them off (including your Wall Factory, if you still have one) and build a Stun Gun, and as many Cannons as you can positioned so they can reach it all the way from the first gate to the base. Spend left over money on Mounted Guns right next to the second gate.

Cluster Bots in Mission 11 are way too strong i stopped bothering with this game by this point. Everytime i try i get owned by those little bots 1 of them (the smallest when clustered) does like 30% dmg to my base, and imagine not being able to kill them soon before they reach your base like 5 of them gets past everytime (not the first wave of cluster bots, but the second one) is always loss for me. 3/5

I cannot beat level 5 for no reason other than the air units. I got to the boss ONCE, and what did I find? It's a flying troop carrier... Maybe there are later AA towers that are better that I simply haven't unlocked yet, but the basic one is really bad. Building a wall factory to upgrade them doesn't seem to have much of an effect on their performance, and because they are so bad you have no hope of upgrading them to level 3 by killing air units.
Otherwise it's a great game. Can't wait to see if you do anything about air. Hope you do. Withholding rating for the time being.

Having lots of every type of ground unit on level 8 does NO HARM WHATSOEVER to the shielded truck. It plowed thru 2 unharmed walls and my base by itself while under heavy fire from cannon, guns, com unit and stun guns. If this isn't a glitch it is a GROSS error in planning. There was no weapon type that did not have at least 3 units firing on the truck. It's shield bar lost no pixels. I was giving this 3 maybe 4 stars till I hit this... Let me know if it gets fixed.

build the wall factory for better air defense, repair your turrets during waves. Also air only comes where you have turrets, so consolidate your defenses so fewer air turrets are needed.

now on lvl 8 on wave 18 is that tank invincible and just keeps gaining health? never had that problem before wtf god dam make the game beatable

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!1!!!!1!!!!!11!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!one!!!!!!!1!!!!!! lvl 14 i did so awesome that they didnt even touch the first base then what happens? a plane that has reflecter shield flies by the base my base shoots it and the base gets damaged so in the end my AWSOME EXELENT RATING GOES DOWN TO A STUPID LITTLE GOOD. DAMMIT DEVELOPERS GET RID OFF REFLECTOR SHIELDS IN PLANES!!!!11!!!!!!ONE!!!!!!1!!!!!!

Mission 13: final boss is air, sells all land defense. Sees new structure, tests out overdrive with a few recon and anti air. My reaction: mother of god....
