My strategy for getting brilliant on level 14 was to stick Hellfire Temples on the high ground near both entrances. The "daze" effect slowed the ninja down enough for me to hit several times with meteor.
I also placed catapult dens and chilling crypts on all the tiles closest to the entrances (though I don't think the crypts hit--no freeze or fear), and towers around the entrances to the dens.
I know ONE of those things helped, since that ninja has 2500 hp and the most I could have taken off its health with meteor is 2000 hp, and the hellfire temple only does 282 damage (on high ground, plus I have 32 skill points invested in the Demon tree and the "Height Advantage" skill maxed out). So that leaves at least 218 damage that must have been from other towers. Probably a bit more since I don't think I actually used meteor all five times. I'm not sure which, though, since I was focused on meteoring and not watching towers.

I played this game when it first came out and just gave it another play and, damn, if this isn't still one of my all time favorite casual games.

Why the hell priests are trying to rob demon gems, shouldnt they try to banish and exorcise me instead of stealing demonic cursed gems ? nonsense

I failed multiple times in Killing the Ninja Boss is level 14 with Crypts the only thing that worked for me is Ballista spam with no other turret type close to the entrance. The initial attak from the ballistas was so powerful that I only needed 4 meteors. Another idea that I had is to use the the maxed out Mana Drain Crypt hoping for the 25% disarm (that's only 25%) I saw with horror the Ninja get disarm and still become invisible and beat me, but maybe it was the second hit that inflicted Disarm and that's why it didn't work. Anyway Fear doesn't help I feared him a few times and he always still had enougth time to reach my gems before becomming visible again, don't know about freeze (another 25%) can he still immidiately become invisible if he gets frozen on the first hit? Anyway Ballista spam seems to be the best solution with 100% that it would work. Rate for people to see.

If i, the demon lord, can see a ninja hiding, I'm pretty sure I'd be able to tell my army of morons to fire at it. Just saying.

12 brilliant ratings. Forgot about where the save files are stored and used CCleaner. 0 brilliant ratings. Rage. Sadness. Regret.

Why am I protecting these gems? What if there is a curse and the gems are the only way to stop it? Am I causing the death of the entire population just for five shiny gems?

@Balbanes: That's why I always build my initial towers near the gems, and work my way outwards (more or less). That gives them a chance to get some experience before later, closer to the start, towers start keeping their targets away.

@Balbanes Er, no. Game nerfing is never a good thing. Massive hint: perhaps it's not the best strategy to always start building your towers near the entrance.

Something I would like though is a system to transport your save from this game to the level pack. I don`t like leveling up all over again xD

This is for those who are having trouble getting brilliant on Stage 14. Skill points needed: Maxed high ground, meteors, burn, and a minimum of 30 total points in the Demons category. Gameplay: Place 2 Temples on the high ground near the entrances, and make sure they're are upgraded to the max by the end of the game, on the Scorching Aura path. They will both burn and slow the boss, giving you time to kill him with 5 meteors. (for the beginning of the stage, you will obviously need other towers as well - 2 Crypts on the other high points, towers on the mana, etc.). It is possible to kill him with Crypts on all 4 high points, but you will NEED him to freeze - even if you scare him, he will still get to the gems in time to screw you up. If this helped, rate it up so others can see it.

I love tower defense games, and this one is the game that made me like them! :D The gameplay is awesome, level design/enemy develop is good (except ninjas, those can get the f**k out, LoL), It is a challenge if you want to get all briliant ratings... too much to cover. Short version: 5/5, favourite, playlisted. :D

Stage 14 is the hardest level of the game, b/c of the Ninja boss. I wasn't paying attention, and let one of the smaller ninjas get through earlier (about round 40). I kept playing, just to get the exp... AND THE NINJA BOSS FREAKIN FROZE ON THE LAST ROUND!!! *facedesk*

No - orc towers at start, with stuff clustered 5 seconds in. You will need meteor for the boss ninjas though.
Just realised playing this for 5 years.

I enjoy this game quite a bit on a bored day. It's easy to get through the normal stuff, but I have quite a bit of a challenge trying to get brilliant on everything.

I realize this game series is 5 years old, and they're great games.. but if the devs make another, then my suggestion is to *get rid of the douchey ninjas*. They really ruin game play, by forcing you to rely on a single strategy (max mana+meteor, with only Orc towers at entrances) rather then being able to experiment with different strategies. And the boss ninja is ridiculous, it can outrun Crypt iceballs for christ sake. Ninjas suck.
