Too many people complain about Ninjas being luck-based, or unfair, but you can design your defense to trigger their stealth immediately.
It takes a shitty kind of player to just assume something is unfair without any sort of analysis.

@kerket most ninja bosses can be beaten by either hoarding meteors, or triggering their stealth on spawn (aoe towers) and letting your back end towers deal with it

I would be really nice if the "save" worked. Yes, I have permission to create/write a file turned on, and size cranked up. The save works in RAM, but it's lost on reboot -- not writing to disk. This worked the last time I played, a couple of years ago. Firefox change, perhaps?

It is a better than average defense game, but the ninja bosses add too much luck to the game. With some of the levels being so short, it will get a gem before the 5 second invisibility time is up, so you have to be really good at the meteors, or get lucky with a freeze shot. IT also means you pretty much have to sell every non-crypt tower at the start of the level. The last thing you want is for another tower to get that first shot in to a Ninja boss and turn it invisible before the crypt can freeze it. For the last couple of levels, you even have to make sure that there is no single crypt at the start. Much better to let the ninja get closer to the gems, but get hit with a barrage of crypt shots each of which could freeze it long enough to take it out with meteors more easily.

15 brilliant ratings is easy once you max out the meteor attack. Only build crypts at the edge where monsters spawn as they have a built up attack and can kill ninjas in one shot when charged, and use meteors on ninjas that get close to gems.

IT's not bad..but the ghosts are unfair. I know it is a tower defense standard to have enemies that are invisible (or some other way invincible) for a short time..but these ghosts move way too fast while they can' be hit for such short maps. It would be one thing if you have SMART towers that knew to shoot all ghosts just enough to turn them invisible as soon as possible. But when my early map towers are taking out slower moving enemies, while allowing the ghosts to move on to my next set of towers, it is more frustrating than challenging.

that moment when you try to get brilliant star on a level and someone manages to touch your gem just before getting killed...

Gihmemphis - my game has always saved automatically, I'm on a windows acer. Don't think I have ever deliberately saved so may be a compatibility issue? Or just bad luck :)

Everyone goes on about the ninjas but I have played this game on and off for a year or so and I am more consistently screwed over by the pirates who have a chance to shake off a strong hit. That might not even be the official name for them (I refuse to restart the game because it's already nearly 2am) but you know who I mean. Ninjas are annoying but pirates are an unknown quantity and can floor you by pure luck whatever your strategy... This must be how Sauron felt. And Vader. And Smaug. And Voldemort. Just realised the importance of luck and timing *enters existential crisis*

I like how people complain constantly about ninjas. Instead of complaining, git gud. Meteor Strike can hit them while stealthed, Meteor Strike damage can be upgraded, total mana pool can be upgraded, aoe hits them while stealthed, there are plenty of options but some people choose to be salty instead of trying.

Really fun TD.....but VERY short. Way too short to get anywhere close to all the Skill points w/o grinding, and by then you've already got "Brilliant" rating on every map at least twice over, so what's the point?
Well worth playing this game of course, just wish there were 5-10 more levels to make the Skill Point accumulation system worthwhile.

This game could be great, COULD. The concept here of a blend of tower defence, strategy, and planning really draws me in, its fun, simple gameplay yet really requires tactics and intelligence to work through the game. Yet major flaws are present, the one underlined by nearly everyone is don't make a game that ranks how well you play, then make It nearly impossible to be perfect at it. The stealthy units are op. simple fact. easy to kill, but only after they've ruined the brilliant score. Played through your other game and ive rated it far higher due to you addressing the serious lack of gold/mana and the ability to combat stealthy enemy without removing them.
