I wish the game was a little longer, and a bit more challenging... It was fun at first but then I realized you can just rush each level to win, this includes max difficulty. I did like the game though, and great job to the dev.

Very enjoyable little game. How easy it was was a little disconcerting, but I still found the game very, very, very enjoyable. Unable to reskill, at least with the spells, felt a little weird, but that had appeal of it's own as well.

Extra points for a skippable intro, which is something big games with multimillion budgets still havent figured out. Your skill tree offers a choice between more power and cheaper, which is nice, usually it's 'one useful skill two useless skills' choices. So you're doing better than Civ V (that goddamn long unskippable intro movie when it launched) and Borderlands (Pretty much all class abilities were useless, along with a good chunk of the skill tree).

It was a bit coasting and then bam, last level. The difficulty of the later levels could be upped a bit to make it smoother. But that's a minor issue and it could feel different for other people. Good job overal, two details though, the sound options are behind things that make sound (which is often the case in games of all types and budgets). And the golden symbiosis could use a differently phrased text when it's unlocked, something like 'your symbiosis is more powerful now!' and maybe a button in the skill tree that shows you got it.

fun game. pretty easy but fun. we need more quick fun games like this around. did everything there was to do in 2 hours.

you should make a v2 with more upgrades, achivements, levels, plants and spells. i put it in chat and everyone liked the idea

a tip for winning. be aggressive, don't try to hang back and develop your plants, you wont be able to win in latter levels. just go on the offensive as quickly a possible.

@143GregP: You can build more towers in Stage 2. Even without any Skills, you can have up to 5 plants in a stage at any time, and with the far right Skill column fully upgraded you can have 7 plants in a stage.

@143Gregp Switch to attack mode and your range increases. that level also allows spells. use the fireball to help kill the out of reach tower

Also is there a way to increase the range of the towers because I just sat here and levelled up my tower to Max level on Stage 2 thinking I could complete the challenge but the main tower was just barely out of the range of the one tower I am allowed on the field.

Played this years ago, came back to trigger BotD, saw I hadn't quite finished the hard badge, ran a 100% playthrough. Excellent game.

Pretty fun and an interesting concept. My only problems were that I didn't know if higher level plants gave better synthesis than low level plants and I didn't know if there was a difference when I unlocked "golden synthesis" or if I needed to activate it somewhere. There's also no need for the "play 3 times" achievement, but that's minor.

Note: Near endgame when you have most upgrades and just need to get three stars on all the later levels, speed is essential. You want to get at least one plant on an energy well as Soon As Possible. This means you'll just be creating and destroying plants as soon as you have enough gold in order to get there before the crystal's first or second spawn.

So Jarofed, I think I'm onto you. You think crystals are evil and that vegetables are tools of destruction. Methinks this is simply anti-spiritualist propaganda! what next? poisonous incense gas!? -Mushroom- clouds!?
On a lighter note, I was a bit skeptical about the game in the beginning, but started to enjoy the setup. Good job, I say!

Nortyfiner, press the Pause button from the right upper side of screen, that makes the battle continue without you having to put the seed.

This game seems a lot too easy. It doesn't speak well of the game's difficulty when the last achievement you pick up is the one that asks you to play each level three times, and that that's because, apart from levels eight and below, excluding seven, every single level required exactly two tries. And, to be clear, that's one try to beat the level and get the special challenge simultaneously, and a second to beat the level with the difficulty at its highest. It's the bare minimum of attempts, and that's really not where you want to be on the last level of the game, or most of the others.

Is there anyway to reset the skill points you spent? mostly because I've decided I want power defense instead of cheap defense.
