I would like to see your reply to my App Store review. I really like all of your games, but I would like to see acreage and containment added to the mobile version. Along with new ACGIS maps.
Sorry, I should go into the App Store and reply more to my iOS fans. It's just such a pain to navigate Apple's interface though. That said, you should check out the current development progress for my upcoming game called FireJumpers Inferno, which is getting rebuilt in Unity3D! Basically I'm taking the combined knowledge of things that worked in all previous 3 (technically 4) versions. Anyway, if you're interested, please checkout my www.facebook.com/firejumpers/ for more info on my game development. In case you (or others visiting my game here) haven't heard, I've mapped out ALL of California using GIS data and players will be able to load and play anywhere in California!
Thanks Marino for the kind words! This game has already been upgraded to many versions, including a multiplayer version as well as a training tool for wildland firefighting agencies. More details on my https://www.facebook.com/firejumpers/ page. Now I've integrated GIS data and mapped out all of California. Anyway, check it out! Let me know what you think!
there is a cooperative multiplayer version called FireJumpers Sandbox which you can play at https://www.firejumperspro.ca/sandbox/
In FireJumpers Sandbox, users can create their own maps using the Map Editor.

I've taken a break for about half a year now. However, I've started a new version called FireJumpers Inferno, which will be my final version of this series. Currently, I don't have a deadline, but I'm aiming for spring of next year.

As I wrote, I'm not sure they're bugs or just part of the game. Anyway, the problems I had were with the helicopter, cut team, and hose team: all of them had a problem with positioning the starting and ending points. I'm not sure if it was because of a range thing or not. Maybe that'd be a good message from the game, that the hose was too long or the helicopter was traveling too far, if range is a problem.
Also, especially with the hose team and cut team, the starting and end points did not always "stick", not sure how to put it.
Guess that's about the size of it. Maybe a few more. Have a good one. I'm off to do something else.
Oh, this game is getting old now, 6 years. Since then I've create 2 other versions for Android and iOS, FireJumpers Sandbox and FireJumpersPRO. This game is the original classic ;) As for the bugs, what did you find?
Lol, if they could only throw money at my latest and greatest version called FireJumpersPRO. You can try it online at www.firejumperspro.ca/pro/ . It's a training tool for agencies that uses the latest GIS data from landfire.gov website to create maps of real locations with accurate data, from elevation, vegetation types and fuel bed types for amazing accurate fire burns. Anyway, it's cool, you should check it out!
The Cut Team is very useful if used properly. Cut team should mainly be used to cut grassy terrain (light green) and bushes (medium green). You should try to avoid cutting through dense trees (dark green) and they are very very slow cutting trees down. See, each terrain type effects units differently, from cutting to spraying water. Grassy terrain burns faster than trees, but is easier to extinguish with water. All about game balance! :)

great game nice idea with different units plane needs to hold more and the choper to. The land units need to be faster
I could increase the effectiveness of the units, but then I'd have to make the fire faster. It's all about game balance, which is quite tricky considering that the fire burns randomly each time! If you liked this version, you may also like FireJumpers Sandbox, a cooperative multiplayer version. You can it online at www.firejumperspro.ca/sandbox/

Strongly need arrow keys to scroll the map, too. Right now, we lose really too much time adjusting this and that, and during this time, the fire keeps burning everything.
I wished I'd love this game, but I can't. That said, it's a really original one (saving tress and people changes from killing every single other being-one) and I'd like the devs to keep making this kind of games.
Maybe I'm too a casual gamer for enjoying how this game handles (or doesn't).
To give yourself more time to make decisions, you may notice that anytime you touch the map, the game pauses. Use that to give yourself time to think, or you can change game speed to 1/2x. Also, this game is 4 years old now and I've built two new version. There's FireJumpers Sandbox that is a cooperative multiplayer version and you can download it on Android/iOS or play online at www.firejumperspro.ca/sandbox/ I also recently launched FireJumpersPRO, a tactical training simulator for wildland firefighting agencies. That's currently on Android (iOS coming soon) and online at www.firejumperspro.ca/pro/ And yeah, cooperative play can be just as fun as fighting one another!

hosemen on the bank of a river doesn't obey the order to get back their hose... they just keep right where they are. I NEED the helicopter to keep the fire under pseudo-control and can't afford using it to get them where they should go. :( (Hawai scenario)
the Hawaii map is the first map where you need to use the terrain features in your strategy. I first use helicopter to carry the cut team up close the the fire, along the road (to the south) and cut north towards the river. I carry the civilian back as I return to pick up the hose team and drop him right in the tip of the river (the north river). Then try to contain the head of the fire between the two rivers. The bomber timer ends around when the head of the fire is at the most narrow part between the rivers. Drop the bomber's water right there and it should be a mop up.
Thanks Bradley for reviewing the game and 5 stars! Yes, the fire burns randomly each time, to keep things different each time you play. Sometimes, just as you think you have it under control.. it jumps the fire line and you find yourself with a whole new fire to contain! Just like real life!

I'll be honest, for a game uploaded in 2012, I give props to the dev for replying in 2016. I like the game. Big fan of helicopters and a nice change from the normal shoot-em-ups. 5/5 & fav'd
Thanks Quazar for a great review! I come and check Kong every once in a while, see if there's any new comments! Yes, it's been 4 years already, crazy! Since then, I've updated the game and create two new versions. There's FireJumpers Sandbox, which is a cooperative multiplayer version! Sandbox is great but it's not on Kong. You can however play it online at www.firejumperspro.ca/sandbox/ and you can also play it on Android & iOS! Now I've just recently created a third version, similar to Sandbox called FireJumpersPRO, but way way more accurate, from fire behaviour model, to actual unit movement speeds. FireJumpersPRO is specifically designed as a tactical decision making training tool for wildland firefighting agencies. It's currently free during the beta stage, you can test that also online at www.firejumperspro.ca

Hey Jason great game i have it on my android and i love but was on here so i thought i check it out see how different it was still love it keep up the great work
Thanks Agavin, happy to hear you're enjoying the game! Got a brand new version called FireJumpersPRO which you can try at www.firejumperspro.ca. The PRO version is specifically designed as a wildland firefighting training tool for wildfire agencies. So maybe not as easy as this version, but if you're looking for something a little more.. complicated, in-depth, then you'll enjoy PRO!
There's two new versions you can try right now. There's FireJumpers Sandbox which you can play either on your mobile device or online at www.firejumperspro.ca/sandbox/ and there's my latest wildfire agency training tool called FireJumpersPRO which you can try at www.firejumperspro.ca. There's more info on my facebook.com/firejumpers/ page.
thanks for the review! This is my original game, Sandbox was create a couple years after this one, which is why it has improved units. I'm now done with Sandbox and I've started on my new version called FireJumpersPRO - Tactical Decision Training. This new pro version is not a game, it's a training tool for wildland firefighters to train in tactical decision making. Though technically it'll be available to the public via mobile devices and online, there will be a monthly subscription to access the full features. So I doubt that the general public will subscribe, but that's ok as it's geared specifically for wildland firefighting agencies and they have a budget for training. If you'd like to know more, check out my facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/firejumpers/

i hate long island so much I finally get it down to a small patch then the fires jump my lines in two spots and by the time I ferry in a load to put out one the other one needs like three more loads and starts spitting out jumpers
Long Island can be tricky! I use the helicopter to bring my cut team to the south part of the fire. The cut team starts near the bottom of the trees and cut east and then up and around the trees going north. At the same time, I have my hose team start to run along the road for extra speed while the helicopter does a few water drops to the north of the fire to make sure it doesn't burn any buildings. Buildings that are destroyed is the worst for your score. After a few drops, and the hose team gets closer, I use my helicopter to then transport my hose team also to the south, to cover the gap between the ocean edge and the start of the fire line the cut team did. Also, don't waste dropping water on trees(dark green terrain), it's much harder to extinguish than the bushes (lighter green). Try to stop the fire either before it reaches the trees or just after it's done burning through the trees. So basically concentrate your water drops/spray to bushes. Hope that helps!
Thanks Accatitippi for your kind words. This is my original version I built about 4yrs ago. Check out my recent version called FireJumpers Sandbox, which is cooperative multiplayer! Not so much a game with rules and scoring. Instead, you customize your own scenarios by choosing a map, placing your own units, setting starting fire locations and updating wind speed and direction. You can play online at http://www.firejumperspro.ca/sandbox/ or play it on your iPhone or Android. :) If interested, follow me on Facebook to see sneak peaks of my upcoming version called FireJumperPRO - Tactical Decision Training, which will be a training tool for wildfire fighting agencies. www.facebook.com/firejumpers/
Thanks, much appreciated! If you like this single player version, you may want to check out my latest cooperative multiplayer version called FireJumpers Sandbox. You can play online at http://www.firejumperspro.ca/sandbox/ or play it on your iPhone or Android. :)

Very good game. The concept is apealing, the game is easy to pick-up and yet it is challenging at some stages. The large number of levels is very appreciated.
It's not perfect though, the irregular difficulty progression between levels, and the lacks in ergonomy is why I don't give it a 5 star (how harsh, I know):
-I manage to stuck an unit in the bottom left corner of the screen, I was unable to select it again because it clicked on the speed change button instead
-the variation order of speed (1-1/2-2) is a bit weird (normal-lower-higher, can't remember anything like that)
-a dezoom function would be greatly appreciated, as much the ability to scroll the map while in pause.
Thank man for your review! This game is going on 4yrs old now, it was my first version. I've got a new version called FireJumpers Sandbox which is cooperative multiplayer! If you enjoyed this one, I think you'll really like Sandbox. You can play online at http://www.firejumperspro.ca/sandbox/ or play it on your iPhone or Android. :)
Thx Strix, you should check out FireJumpers Sandbox, my latest cooperative multiplayer version. You can play online at http://www.firejumperspro.ca/sandbox/ or play it on your iPhone or Android. :)

Yeah I moved the civilian. I eventually moved on to a different level and it happened again on that one when I'm 100% sure there were no civilians anywhere near the fire. Considering it happened on multiple levels I just gave up and quit playing. That's an annoying game breaking bug.
Very weird, I can't seem to replicate the bug. I just tried this morning the Hawaii map, moved the civilian that's near the top of the volcano somewhere safe and let the fire burn. No dead civilian. I'll try to do more testing, but not sure there's much I can do. Besides, this game is 3 years old now, my latest FireJumpers Sandbox is WAY better, faster, more units, better terrain topography, etc. I thank you though for you're feedback. If you happen to get a screenshot when it happens, you can email it to dev(at)redbloxgames.com. Cheers, J

I keep getting random "You allowed a civilian to be lost" failure screens when there were no civilian anywhere near the fire. This is happening on the Hawaii level usually within a minute of it starting. The farthest I've gotten before it happened was about 2m30s into the level. Really annoying
On the Hawaii level, there is one civilian near the top of the volcano. Did you move that civilian to a safe location? There might be an issue with this version 1.4. My mobile version is 1.4.6. It's been over a year since I've updated this game. Though if you like this, check out my cooperative multiplayer version called FireJumpers Sandbox at www.firejumperspro.ca/sandbox/
You're in luck! Check out my cooperative multiplayer version called FireJumpers Sandbox! I recently added elevation and now with the improved Map Editor in game, you can create and save your own custom maps to the server, and even share it for others to play! This game is my original game I built 3 years ago, however I've been concentrating on FireJumpers Sandbox for the last year. You should check it out, let me know what you think! http://www.firejumperspro.ca/sandbox/
Thanks yomec. If you like this single player version, you may want to try out my latest cooperative multiplayer version called FireJumpers Sandbox, available on Android and online at http://www.firejumperspro.ca/sandbox/beta/ which is my current beta version!
thick trees are hard to cut. That being said, you can check out my cooperative multiplayer version called FireJumpers Sandbox. You can play on your Android or online here: http://www.firejumperspro.ca/sandbox/
In the Sandbox version, I added many more units, like bulldozers to clear dense trees faster, retardant bombers, smokejumpers, engines, brush trucks and more!
Unfortunately, nothing new for this version. That's because I've been really busy building the cooperative multiplayer version called FireJumpers Sandbox! Currently only on Android, iOS coming soon, and hopefully a Desktop version too!
Thanks Nick for the great review! I know what you mean, I find most people shake their heads first when I tell them I built a wildfire fighting game. They are like, "Where's the zombies, the bullets?". Once you start playing it, you realize that there's a lot more strategy and depth to the game than it first appears! :D
Thanks for the comments! It should be able to save progress using cookies. If that's disabled on your computer, that might be the reason it's not saving progress. As for badges, that'd be cool, but no idea how to implement. Besides, this game is actually designed for mobile devices. :)
It's something that I fixed a while back, however I haven't updated the Kong website with the latest Android/iOS version, which is currently at 1.4.6. A bit hard to maintain so many versions for different platforms. I'm in the middle of building a multiplayer coop version of FireJumpers and we're always looking for alpha testers. Check out our facebook page at http://facebook.com/FireJumpers/ for more details. Currently only looking for Android alpha testers.

I had failed a level while controlling the water bomber and when I picked another level the water bomber icon was up on the screen except in this level there was no water bomber. I tried using the icon but nothing would happen.
