Sorry you guys don't like the timer! I've actually just updated the game to have configurable difficulty settings. Set the difficulty to easy to get rid of the time limit.
The problem with not having a timer at all is that it greatly limits level design options. If you aren’t restricted by a time limit, then in a lot of levels you don’t need to use any particular strategy at all. For example, if you’ve gotten to the “Shower of Money” level, you could easily beat the level just by possessing each character on the side of the tower and walking off, when the more interesting solution is to use the CEO to vomit money off the sides of the tower. Having a time limit forces the player to figure out that solution, rather than going for the obvious, but boring solution.
That said, I understand that people want to be able to mess around without a time limit. So now you can do that!

So here's what I get so far:
A ghost is haunting this place and each day they have to change the building. After that didn't work out, they called in the cops.. After THAT didn't work they invested in psychic robots. Even that didn't work! So they rented a hero. One big thing they forgot to do? Call Ghost Busters!

The humor alone made me want to give it a 4/5 the game play wanted me to give it another 4/5 as well and then the lovely retro music wanted me to give even another 4/5 again SO YOU EARNED A 12/5

I love this game. 2 things I would like to have happen: First, at the very least, a sequel. This was a really creative game and had good humor. I would love to see a new set of puzzles. The second thing: put this on steam! If GemCraft made it, there's a chance that this one could too! It doesn't have the same cult following as the GemCraft franchise, but it still has merit and the replay value is very high. :)

would love to see more AI ie have the police react when they see a thief, or have people running around when people start jumping or when they are getting kicked, have the NPCs kicking back or something --> this would involve having a health factor

ATTENTION: You must pay attention to the number of souls you have collected. I personally spent thirty minutes trying to solve level 2, when all I had to do was hit enter. There can be surviving people, you simply need to collect the proper NUMBER of souls.

I have to hit 4 damn buttons to quickly restart a level - p, r, enter, enter.
Make a quick restart button that skips the dialogue.

Suggestion:PlayerPack!In the level editor, people should be able to make those intro scenes, where death talks to the ghost and people talk to eachother.Maybe even add in a person-maker?We could be able to choose how they look, as in painting, choose out of a large variety of special abilities, and choose how high they can jump and how fast they can run.I'm(almost) sure everyone would love level editors.

Wow, Jlong64, you truly are an AMAZING devoloper. Not only did you make a great game, but you listen to the feedback. I mean, sometimes, very rarely, developers actually take the time to listen and make even little changes to the game, but giving the option to take away the time limit is a huge update and it makes me have much more respect for you as a developer. Just for that i'm giving you a 5/5. and i do understand why you have it in there, but its hard to explain, but when i'm playing a game, i HATE to feel rushed, and that's what a time limit does. I still do try and figure out the intended solution and sit back and relax while I play.

You would think that three security guards would, say, I don't know, start shooting the guy in the ski mask, in the bank, at night, especially when he starts picking locks, punching them, and kicking them out of windows?

I love how if you start punching kicking or kicking people off cliffs noone even reacts not even the security gaurds even if your a thief they dont react.

That was a really nice game, but I was kinda disappointed that the bonus souls didn't really unlock anything.. guess they are just for bragging rights then :D

i haven't played a game quite like it and am really looking forward to any future games you put out. Hopefully you keep your creative juices flowing on your next game and can come up with something equally as unique as this one. I'd like to see a few graphic artist back you. I bet with some nice graphics and your original gameplay and dialogue, that it would make one hell of a flash game, or even possibly XBox Live Marketplace game. Keep up the good work and don't let the negative comments sway you from making something else. Congrats and will be looking for your games in the future.

First up, this game has a great idea at its core, even if it is very similar to Haunt the House by SuperFlashBros. The humour in the dialogue is refreshing and genuinely made me smile at times. Very original, I look forward to future games. The idea of possessing people to kill others is great but there are a few things letting the game down. 1) There isn't any reaction from other people. This ruins the game's atmosphere. People should try to defend themselves or at least run away, instead of taking a clobbering. Little interactions between characters would've been nice and I couldn't believe the security let me kill people or a burglar in the bank! (2) The graphical style isn't perfect. I think the levels look a little bland and samey. It loses a lot of its charm when you see the blown-up, pixelly faces talking.. maybe others think it's okay but I don't find it charming, I think a talented developer can do a lot better (3) The sounds get very repetitive after a while.
Thanks for the feedback! The reason the characters have no reactions is just that we only had a month to develop the game, so we just didn't get around to putting that in. We'll probably address the issue in a future update or sequel.

I love how they stand around when everyone else is dying.
