Fantastic game. The music fit the mood perfectly for me, an easy five out of five. It's a shame not enough people can see the true beauty in this game.

An astoundingly wonderful game, the horrible puns, the somewhat cheeky storyline, the interconnectedness of the whole. Truly one of the most original, pun-ny game I have played in a long time. Definitely a favorite!

Yeah, maybe the game isn't very rich gaming experience in terms of 'point and click' genre... But charming story and lots of humor fully make up for it :D 5/5 from me, without hesitation :)

How come Bob the Spider is in the bar rehearsing his opera... and then he's reparing his Higgs mechanism the next moment?

Take note. There is A LOT of reading in this game. So if you like a good story and hard to pronounce names, this is for you. XD

"All you need is a mouse or any similar rodent (though a capybara may be too large to use efficiently)." - one of the most beautiful lines in history of computer games! xD

I love how this game in many ways is a tribute to the first Quest For Glory game, one of my all time favorite adventure/rpg games :)

Beautiful game, i teachs you that even though you are not a major part of history you are still in there.
In the book of Living Magic...

Great game for people of any age. It is good to see something like this is still being made. Was cute, made you think and also and most importantly made you see things differently.

I wasn't really into the whole reading thing but as i went through the story i found it more interesting and found myself reading every line by the end of the game good job Jonas.

@Urthor: I understand it's a point 'n' click game and I obviously wasn't expecting to be shooting Nazis in the game. I'm just saying if there were more puzzles (as opposed to simple dialogue-based options-we have all played, say, Monkey Island, have we not?) this would feel like a more interactive, more game-like experience.

Wow, just saw that my purely constructively critical and absolutely inoffensive comment of a few days ago is not even shown beacuse of negative votes. Could it be that adult-oriented games attract the greatest number of morons?

I love all of the references packed into this game, like if you talk to Basil the Innkeeper about the Foret of Eyeballs, he says there's a witch named Baba Yaga there, which is a reference to a russian tale, in which "Baba Yaga" is a witch who lives in a walking house (Ya, I grew up in a russian family) and when I read that a terrible witch named Baba Yaga lived in the Forest of Eyeballs I burst up laughing and instantly gave this game a 5 star rating.

Beautiful.
For all of us that have lost track of time while reading a book this is a charming piece of our lives. Thanks for reminding me of the simple and yet fulfilling pleasure of living many lifes through stories.

This is an amazing game, and it really does seem as if you are inside the story. I loved everything about it, the music, the history, the characters, the details, everything!
What is there not to like?

I am really enjoying this game. It is also funny how you have included things from the real world (books, N'grath - which I got from google -, etc). Although I'm not so hep on reading games from the start, this one is very funny, entertaining, and pleasant to read. Great music to boot! Thank you for making this.

The story was simple, but charming. I loved that practically everything in the backgrounds had a description. The characters were all interesting, and the art is great. It has started my day off on a good note. :]

A wonderfully written game with lots of surprises despite the simplicity! Reading the lovely descriptions makes it great.

nice caught the Antwheiler reference XD nice! I love this type of game and your sense of humor.
I also loved the after thought and how things went for the girl.

Wow. I feel amazingly at peace, and my eyes watered a little at the last sentence. For Jonas and Verena, this must have been a labour of love. I feel honoured to have been allowed to share in it.

Wonderful game. Yes it requires more reading than the average flash game, but come on people. I loved how much descriptive detail there was! I couldn't believe every eyeball had a different description!

I was a little dismayed at first at finding tons of text, but as the story progresses and the music in all its simplicity drew me in, I couldn't stop reading. The little touches put in like the descriptions of eyeballs was good, and the witty comments were interesting. I like the hidden meanings in the story and I thought the ending was pretty "complete" in the sense that there wasn't any loose ends. Good job!

I'm sure people would vote higher if there were some Kong integration. And the possibility of badges, for reading this wonderful story ;D

i got excited when the crocodile talked about the witch "Baba Yaga"- thought "The Hut on Fowl's Legs" would play when you meet her.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think it's the first comment I ever write on Kong, having played here for years and years.
Congratulations to a very talented author. This -story- is masterfully crafted, I don't think of it as a game at all. Wherever you decide to keep making games, or dedicate yourself to writing, I'm sure you'll have any success you want. I'm a big bookworm, and this story is a direct entry to my personal Hall of Fame.
Sad thing is the rating is so low, don't take this personally, don't take it at all. Many a world changing storyteller has had a start plagued by criticism, and the average Kong user is not an avid reader, apparently!

altho the story is completely different i feel like i have played a sequal to one of my most favorite games..i felt so much joy when i read about bob the spider and i liked all the characters alot..still i think the game is a bit too short, because i feel there is much more to see in dream land :(

Today, i was a man bored of existence and i had no purpose for life today, after playing this game i smiled and thought, "my god, where have i been?"
