Rule one of video games: The end boss shall not spawn directly on top of thee for an instant kill. Can you imagine how lousy Mario games would be if the level started with Bowser landing on your head?

Get to 20 weapon, then 80 shield, then 80 weapon, then rest into engine.
Regular waves: Be moving in a diagonal direction, but only look at your radar once you have a decent weapon. The start of a wave is the MOST IMPORTANT, go in the direction with the fewest enemies or you will probably die on the tougher waves.
Final boss: Run and kill the weak enemies first, then STAND STILL. Only move to dodge the boss when he comes charging at you.

why are people suggesting to put no points in engine?fine it is not as effective but what is the difference between say 120 shields and 100 shields when you can go faster and dodge the boss a little easier trust me it doesnt make a difference at that point if you had 120 instead of 100 anyway.80 max turret,get shield up to about 100 and give rest to engine.

And then I made it. Used stunna's skill build and I tried to NOT stand still at the boss. Keep moving away from him. I aimed somewhere in the middle and coudn't care less how much I hit. Just look at the map and keep moving away. He'll die quicker than you think.

This is one hard badge I just don't understand: all I did was run and shoot at whoever was following me (except the last lvl where it was wait, run and shoot instead) Thanks for the extra points though Kongregate :D

For every wave after the first few, except the very last. Just pick a diagonal direction and keep going straight. Shoot in your direction of travel when enemies are close, to make a shielding cloud of projectiles around you.

The boss level is maddening mostly because you cannot reconfigure your points. It's difficult to know what it takes to win that level until you've already gotten there.

buy god man the hard badge should have been labled impossible (improbabale anyway) WTH instant kill from nowhere 10 times in a row (ONE HIT WONDER) come on finally blew it up though

lemme say this:
1. the boss is a 50/50 - that is, 50/50 chance of the boss spwaning on you, leading to insta kill.
2. the stats are a low blow - you need to focus on shield and cannon to survive the game, but without speed, the boss will literally run you over like fresh roadkill in the desert sun.
3. THIS. IS FUN.
however, i do believe that for the sun boss you need to put in the option to boost your stats in action ( kill something and get a 5-second pause for example, to boost your stuff) as you get a ton of points from the sun but are unable to use them.
as a guy with 95 in shield, 80 in cannon and 18 in engine - i'm being eaten alive DX

This boss is @Q!$#@@#%! bullshit.
I spawn, it hits me. If I manage to survive for 1 second I kill his minions, get on a roll. Then he @#!$~@ing steamrollers through me all of a sudden at 2 times the speed. Off screen he somehow defies logic and appears randomly on the wrong side of the screen,, then proceeds to crush you. Do not play. Ether Wars is so much better. I tried for 10 minutes for the last badge...10 minutes gone forever.

The sun is actually pretty easy to dodge, don't look on the screen, look at the radar. You will see from from which direction the sun comes and where it goes, you simply drift away from it. No problem with Engine Power 1.

Weapon max IS 80. You CAN upgrade it further, but it wont help anything. I beat it with 1 engine, lvl 80 weapon, and the rest in shield. In the beginning I started upgrading shield, and after lvl 50 shield, I started on weapon. I would say you should have a weapon level of 50-75 % of shield, untill you reach 80 ofcourse. For the boss: Just "go with it". Like .. Follow. That way, it'll be easier to evade, you shoot him more often etc. It's not that hard in my opinion.

Made it to the final boss. After around 10 tries, I accidentally hit Main Menu instead of continue which takes me back ALL the way to the freaking beginning... F. M. L.

I find that as long as you don't waste ether on your engine, and pay attention to your radar when the wave begins, you should be relatively okay.

Compared to ether war this game is quite horrible, the fact that your shields can barely take any damage even when highly upgraded makes for a very unpleasant gameplay where you only escape and shoot

This worked for me on the last level: (stats 10 80 100) just clear the wave and then go as slow as possible this way its easy to dodge the boss.

all u guys that cant beat this game/ the boss, dont put any points into the engine, start by working on the sheild, then go even with gun/sheild, once you shoot the moon shaped thing, dont put any more points into gun, it doesnt get any better.
