tried to get trough the "custom Mode" several times, no chance, killed in wave 2?
how to win this game without playing the tutorial 100 times for money?
shit,.....

I really loved the first 2 ether games, but this falls short. The no shooter aspect makes this only a game where you click a couple times and you win. Mabe if you could have a cannon you control in the middle of the base your trying to defend this would become a solid 4/5. As it is im giving it a 2/5.PS Needs better upgrades

You should improve the graphics of the base and the turrets. As the others i expected that you could fire the mainbase gun but ýou can´t. Maybe you should implant a building mode, to build the towers and than let the base fire by leftclick --> i know thats not a new concept, but with only four towers the game gets boring. 2/5

I was hoping for more...like ether space combined with tower defense, such as setting up your own base, if you wanted defenders or towers or whatever and also being able to defend it yourself through the waves. Would have been more interesting, maybe a campaign mode also or something more then custom game, to give me a reason to care to play. Such as multiple game modes would be nice instead of just different difficulties.

very disappointing after the previous games... normally in flash game series they get better as the sequels come but in this case it got worse...

This reminds me of enigmata stellar war. If you're going to make an ether game that includes space, I suggest doing it like that game, it did it right. It's first 2 games were vertical sidescrolling shooters that went to a space tower defense, and let me tell you, it was great. I reccomend trying to make your game similar to it's gameplay, but maybe a bit different, like add a hero character.

1/5, since you can do better. I'd be delighted to see any of these new enemies in your previous games. Main killer here is lack of a starship, fast forward button, and allied starships.

It would be nice if we had our own weapon to shoot at the enemies with instead of letting the turrets do all the work cause I feel kinda helpless when I don't have much ether to protect my turrets.

to tob132:you have to do the tutorial so you wont complain that you dont know what to do or that your failing since you dont really know how to beat something, and tutorials can show easier ways to win or something els important...

Unfortunately, it feels a bit slow. It takes a large amount of time to wait for the enemies to circle around enough to reach the base, with in which time I could do 3 waves of any other TD. Interesting concept, but only for people with time on their hands.

very pretty game, and i like the spiral concept. however, it seems pretty narrow-scope. would be good to make the mobs change direction some levels, or maybe have some going both directions. also, 20 waves is pretty limited for anything in the TD genre. i'd like to see more modes/towers/waves, and i agree it needs a zoom capability and/or more of the map displayed at once; a speed function is another standard of TD's that is missing here.

I just have a few things that to say...
(1. Campaign.
(2. Spawn towers that build ships when enemies get close enough.
(3. Make upgrades specialize towers more like instead of the plasma upgrade turn into an area of effect tower give it a poison effect until you upgrade it again.
(4. Upgrades for your base like an improved ether extractor and a manual turret or missile launcher.
(5. Bosses every 10 waves like the one in Ether War.
(6. More unlockables like a free play with infinite ether.
+ if you agree!!!

Fun. I only have two suggestions. One, lasers don't seem to be much use. Two, it would be cool if there was an infinite wave mode. Only playing 20 waves isn't fun for long. Other than that it was nice.

I think there is a great concept in here, but I also didn't get pulled in. I feel like you left out some of the better parts of shooters and TD games, so the hybrid doesn't satisfy as either. One of my problems was the view range -- I'm zoomed in too close to really see what's going on (the base takes up more than 1/10 of the screen, but that's what I usually stay centered on). If I'm watching the radar screen the whole game, what's the point of the pretty graphics? If there is no turret, no aiming or clicking, I need to feel like it's more of a TD game -- need to see the enemy swirling in closer and closer while placing defenses in their path, or maybe even trying to nudge/alter their trajectory. To feel like I'm managing a battlefield. Or: If I was trying to aim at those spiraling motes and shoot them down while guarding my base, that would be a shooter. As it is, I'm not doing either. So I, too, lost interest.

This is depressing. I've been a fan of the series up 'till now. No way to repair turrets, no upgradable range for combat turrets, and an incredibly boring lack of variety. A prime example of mediocrity.

At first I though " AWESOME NEW ETHER GAME!!!! :D" then i played the game and I actually got bored while playing the tutorial.
Exactly what I think

i give it 3/5 because the graphics are ok but we need more varitation if you need ideas ill be on GDR now to then to help get good reviews

This is a game you want to like because of the sound and graphics; unfortunately the game play fails on a number of reasons. The game is way to slow as the enemies slowly spiral inwards. Then your towers don't regenerate fast enough because they take damage as the enemies either shoot them or explodes and damage all your towers in the blast radius. It is disheartening to have a high leveled tower get blown to bits for destroying the enemy. This can't be help since your town range is limited and almost always inside the enemy blast radius. The second tower you have is pointless, the bomber can not hit fast enemy units, it shoot and the fast enemies have flown outside it's area effect. Not enough upgrades or tower choices. It's a basic TD game disguised with great graphics, I would rather have a great TD game with basic graphics.

if you are looking for the shooter elements, try unlocking the (manual) nuke and build lots of bomb defence turrets, you will be able to launch some nukes (regenerating over time) on stuffs. You won´t realy turn this into a shooter, but having 50 nukes available to fire at anything that moves is a nice change of pace for this game. Not a bad game, but for me it is missing a little on the replaying factor. Adding a campain might be a good idea, a move turret option for the upgraded turrets would be cool aswell.

One of the worst games I have EVER played (asides form the crappy demos that get uploaded). What on earth were you thinking author!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
what this game really needs is a story mode. I know I know, crazy, but I would enjoy that over "Fight the computer! for really no purpose!" Needs to truely combine space shooter and tower defense, this is mainly tower defense.

Seriously guys, this is bullcrap. I personally am a big fan of ether wars, because of the constant use of its amazing effects (for a flash game) to the full effect of complete and utter carnage, Funness and Pick-up-and-play aspects. this has none of these. 1/5. (just for comparison I gave ether wars 4/5)
