its so unfortunate that there is no way to kill the mobs except for the white glow, once you activate the runes, you cant glow anymore, oh well can't kill them all i guess, *completionist pride hurt*

I know a lot of you guys will have trouble with the boss. Here's a tip that will make it seem almost easy.. The snake almost never travels in the same spot twice in a row. Just go to the place he went last and you'll be almost untouchable. Vote this up so other people can benifit from it :)

To get flight you must meditate on the dias for about 1 minute. The dias is found at the second temple (about 1/2 way through the map.) Don't get confused by other pillars and think it's a temple. The first temple has a mini pillar building after it and you have to climb a pillar building to reach the second temple. William put all that effort into making a darn good map, and he was nice enough to let Sly take a nap when he was all finished. He could have been like "Awesome, the runestone network is back up! Now you can help me move everything in here and organize it!" But he wasn't. He was cool instead.

Extraordinary game, I loved every second of it. A fox with the ability to glide through the air, teleport, and defeat giant ghost-snakes? Now that's something you don't see every day. 5/5, Favorited.

Just sit on the dais some time to obtain flight power... you don´t need to activate something. You become a flying fox^^.

another thing to add about the temple is that before the pedestal u have to stand on theres a sign that says that after meditating on the pedestal the guy acheived the idea of flight. thats the temple u need to meditate at

There are a maximum of 176 Mushrooms, 15 Runes and 32,600 pts. from Mushrooms and Runes. I checked out the High Scores and all four pages of every one of them are: over 176 Mushrooms (some well over twice the amount possible for the game), over at least 33,000 pts., and 3 and a half pages of people over 13 Runes... Wow, it's like the cheaters aren't even trying to hide their dishonest/corrupt quality. Just about literally everyone in the High Scores is hacking the game. If there is a way to start a new game or actually be able to get more than the game says possible, someone please let me know.

4/5. Very nice game, the only thing I dislike is the monsters : they have no interest, they bring almost nothing in this game (except the non solid snake), cuz the challenge in that game is not the monsters but searching for the hidden places. But hey, monsters were removed in the sequel, and there are additional challenges too. In fact, this is a really relaxing game. 4/5 for this one, 5/5 for the sequel.

I usually hate platformers (and I'm not good at them), but there's something captivating about this game. maybe it's in the way the fox jumps or how forgiving the mechanics are, but I absolutely love it. It's relaxing and meditative and I feel like I might even be able to finish it, even with my meager skills. Excellent job!

If you guys are having trouble with the snake,then observe its pattern remember there are 4 floors the snake goes at the 1st then to the 3rd....then to the 4th....then to the 2nd.First go to the 2nd and stay there until the snake goes to the 4th then go up immediately to the 3rd then go back to the 2nd.i suggest to wait for the fairyflies or whatever they call then to be 5 then collect 1 each...then carefully jump to the rune

I really love this game, it's beautiful and fun and fantastic. The only bug I have experienced is when I go to type in the chat box the menu screen comes up and flickers. Other than that, kudos on a superb game :)

whatever happened to games like this? Beautiful quality, thought-out game-play and incredible audio. I was motivated to unlock the chests just to hear the opening noise. It seems you cant get a game of this quality nowdays without paying for it, and even then.. 5/5, this is one of my favorites!

I consistently get nowhere with this game but I come back again and again because it makes me calm. I think it's the fluid animation. I hate platformers in general but this genuinely makes me stretch my shoulders and calm the dock down.

there needs to be another way to kill darkin other than when you unlock a teleporter. for completion purposes, and so that you are able to kill the ones in more punnishing positions if you mess up getting to them

Pretty good game, and very appealing. Except for that last enemy and rune stone... Very very difficult, with little build up (like has been pointed out, except for losing fairyflies, the other mnsters have little consequence) 4/5

It has been YEARS since I've played this, i miss it so much, just managed to finish the second one now, but again, I'm going to miss this game once flash disappears for good, i wanna find out that music though since it's really good too!

What I did to beat the boss is just wait until five fairyflies gather on the screen, then gather them all up quickly :]

So....anyone else having issues with the game loading? The play button works just fine, the opening logos play just fine, but then after that the screen's just...black. Am I missing something here? Is the game just dead because of age?

This games soundtrack was always very nice. It's very relaxing and peaceful and even almost nostalgic in a way. It never gets old.

Here's a tip when you are versus the boss, at first, don't collect any fireflies, until you could see 5+, since the snake doesn't eat fireflies you don't pick up, and, as hotsauce72 said, the snake ALMOST never travels the same spot twice. Heh, good luck

-A great and imaginative game. The boss is actually very easy if you follow the following tips:
Stand by the rune until you see at least five fairyflies. Alternately, you can move around learning the snake's pattern until the fairyflies appear, as long as you don't pick any up. With no fairyflies on you, none can be taken away.
Watch the snake's pattern. He will make a pass through one location with his moth open, then turn and go by again with his mouth closed. Avoid him when his mouth is open. It seems to alternate between the upper and lower areas of the screen.
When the fireflies are ready, collect them and, avoiding the snake, activate the rune.
