If could hire units from battle for allandria the volney hunters these would cost less than the centaur archers in the dungeon game. though if could upgrade the volney units to centaur for 25 gold would cost less than the 50 gold pieces or 65 goldpieces in battle for Allandria.

hOW about adding as quest on map of protector iv.v gme. the goblin units costing 13 gold cost less than the 23 in merc iv.v of if hired as basic units would be usefull against other goblins in quest. the centaur archers as either advanced unit 25 gold pieces in merc iv. a dungeon master hero hired for 200 gold pieces wiyh basic nits 13 goldpieces and advanced 25 instead of the 100 in merc iv.v so if tom dezzorzi could re upload the game from grey hound games.com adding merc iv.v elements much appreciated.. add as quest in merc iv.v by adding quest flag on map

Nice idea, and Beautiful music. But it's too slow. To be honest, I'd feel more motivated if I could replay levels and get my skills up. So, all in all, solid 3/5

To get badge: First, select medium difficulty, second select ranger, third pause game at start and plan digging for centaurs and small front line defense (don't build on paths until the end), 4th buy centaurs and lots of them, 5th buy front line projection, 6th buy big units at the end and put them on the path, 7th don't forget to adjust range of patrolling (I find it best to put them about 1/2 block so the centaurs can shoot them). 8th might be quit at level 4 badge.

lul I love how level 4 is a smack In the face, especially if you try for the chests. Did it, but those new to this game will have tough times ahead.

I remember playing this game in an independent state when I did not have the Internet, some five years ago. I knew to check out Kongregate because of this excellent reverse-role-play tower defense game. For once locking up features elsewhere pays off. I hate such advertising measures sometimes...but Kongregate needs as much attention as it can get.

Level 3: Dug out middle of screen. Gold above 1000 coins. Then realized that all my lairs on bottom row were being slaughtered, poured hundreds into top row reinforcements. There are only three ores left on screen, and I have three Elementals in my army.

Beat lvl 4 - place a Minotaur at the end of each col. of bricks so that they extend the columns. Under the center Minotaur place 2 Centaurs, then build up your Minotaurs as you earn $$ under the outside columns all the way down. Then just keep building in between the columns using Manticores, Liches, etc. Skip the Vamps. Don't go after any treasure.

controls need some better explanation, it should not be required to read a dozen comments and the dev website to find out that you can control your avatar with wasd. I'm pretty sure this wasnt mentioned in the tutorial and it's completely counterintuitive as well. Another thing is that text is sometimes unreadable, because it half of it is offscreen. In the current state i would rate the game 2/5.

2/5, needs huge improvement, this game should not have received badges in it's current state, i'd list the issues but seriously go through your comments one by one and everything is there, this could be a great game but unfortunately it looks like this is it's actual final state...

@Koibones: Totally avoid the chests and monsters on the flanks. Keep your Centaurs inline with the three vertical walls. Minotaurs can be used one square farther out without attracting the neutral monsters. Keep trying, you can do it!

Ok, so the description below the games screen for the medium badge does not specify that level 4 has to be done on medium or hard. Apparently it only tells me this in the achievement section in the chat screen. Thanks for being specific, Kongregate.

Reset your skills and pick new selections for each level, depending on the demands of that particular setup. And for those having problems with level 4, note that the two corridors are ideal for the use of Boulder Traps.

I can't make it past round 6 on level 4... no matter what combination of fighters, no matter what I go after, nothing works. Oh, and why can I only reset my skill tree after completing a new level. That's really stupid, especially considering the very high learning curve on lvl 4.

41 skills, but access to only 9. Practically useless inventory interface. Compounding resource limitations--miss 1 enemy and you lose the XP, the gold, and the interest on that gold. Relevant unit info barely mentioned. Loop music and no sounds. 2/5, you can do better.

If I had my way, I'd say we should keep a fraction of our money from the last round (like 1/4 money earned last round added to the normal money minus lives lost 3x last round) so we had an advantage from doing previous levels thrivingly.

What I did to beat lvl 4 is make 5 columns of goblins in 2 rows and used minotaurs on top of the left, middle, and right side of the row of goblins to rackup money, then used up any good enemies!
