Under rating threshold (show) That is a truly beautiful game. It's art, game, story and tragic all in one. It's so hard to find games like this on Kongregate. I highly recommend that Kongregate should have a separate part with sad games like Grey, The Majesty of Colors, The Company of Myself and Don't look back. I nearly cried when I saw the grave, the ending was so touching. I love the mixture of kid and adult mementos and how the boy slowly fades everytime you give an item to the girl. It seems simple but when you think about what it's about it's really quite complicated. Make more games like this please! I love the comparing dove to the man. Truly amazing (: 5/5 Disrespectful posts: kkai-bitch must be on her period my reply- kkai, you're a dick

Under rating threshold (show) They always met on that hill and that is where he gave her the gifts. The last gift he gave her before he died was a yellow flower,as demostrated by it being in front of the grave,he gave it to her, the last sign of love he ever gave her. After he died, her world became gray and she brought the gifts he gave her to the same place they met.She went through them, bringing color back to her grey world. The boy in the game fading is a way to symbolize the sadness fading. The dove landing by the girl symbolizes the peace that is being made inside her. When all the color has been brought back to her world, the boy fading away symbolizes she has learn to accept his death and move on. (It wouldnt let me put this in one comment)

Under rating threshold (show) An absolutely beautiful and poignant experience with a powerful message I couldn't disagree more with. I believe that the best way to cope with loss is to remember, not to forget - to be guided rather than to let go. 5/5, best spent 15 minutes in a very long time.

Under rating threshold (show) If you want to do it in biological order, from Birth to Death, find them in this order of colored arrows: Orange lower-lower-left, Purple lower-lower-right, Red lower-left, Green straight up (I suppose you could do this one any time since you could give one such a thing any time), Magenta upper-left, Blue upper-right, Yellow lower-right. You could also start at Purple (just below Yellow) and work your way "clockwise" with the arrow placement.

Under rating threshold (show) Littlehats explanation made alot of sense expect i tweak it a little. The girl is finding and or receiving items from other people which takes her mind off the boy and the boy wants her to forgot about him that explains why he fades and why he is helping deliver the items.

Under rating threshold (show) Fantastic level design -- I always found an object quickly without the feeling of being led by the hand. However, the game mechanic has nothing to do with the story! Also the genre conventions of art games are getting scarily strict -- this music, this aesthetic, this story are all clichés by this time.

Under rating threshold (show) I think what happens is, a boy (whom I named Billy Bob Joe) is running after a girl his whole life (the girl, I named her Theresa). But Theresa never notices Billy Bob Joe, because she is depressed. Billy Bob Joe gives her gifts after gifts, hoping she'll notice. The gifts are represented by colors, and as you give her more, the scene starts getting colorful, representing the passing of time (I think). Then, after she is ready to get out of depression, it's too late. Billy Bob Joe dies soon after she is happy. He dies sad, but at the same time happy. He is happy that his gifts took Theresa out of depression, but sad that he couldn't live with her, share a life with her. It's a great game! (Maybe if you make a Grey 2, it could be about the girl's experiences in depression and, in her mind because she's oblivious to the world around her, make her try to escape depression.)

Under rating threshold (show) ok, so I wrote a poem for this... umm... sorry if it's not so great... here it goes... She sees me not, though I am there, As the restless winds curl through her hair, The laughs we've shared, the time we've spent, Has left her in a dungeon pent, And in her heart, she'll always care, But sudden loss left her world bare, The good times gone, the colour grey, She must move on for I can't stay.

Under rating threshold (show) I think the "person" you're playing isn't a soul, but it's emotion. Sadness, so deep and painful, it took it's own form. Because you can't see emotion, when it waved it's hand in front of a boy, he didn't see it. It might have known the boy was sad, and wanted to fix it.. explaining why each time you give something to the boy, you get more shallow, and less control, and finally disappears when the last thing is brought.. She found peace when you were gone,(getting that from the dove) And had strength to move on. A wonderful, beautiful game, with very fitting music.
