So... Commenting on this game again, huh? Well then XD Anyways, I managed to find the song with a quick google search. Its called The Terminal, and the backstory to how the song was created influences about what I think about the game. The creator of the song had mentioned that he tried thinking about a looming terminal illness that can affect you. This makes me think that the boyfriend/family member died of a terminal illness and the girl was having difficulty coming to terms with it, and he gave her the memories of the times that they had together to make her happy again.

At the beginning I was like "why should I bring this girl that stuff? It's not like she's noticing me or else, longs hairs doesn't do anything..." then I was "ok... this gives back some colours still don't see why I should giver her anything... Nice graphisms btw..." and the end left me reconsidering everything I did before which leads me to give you a solid 5 stars.

Wow what a great game. A very interesting story about a boy in love with a young girl. He gives her items that show kindness and love than slowly fades every time he hands her something. She never knows that someone she may or may not know is right there helping her be happy.

I wanted to finish the game before criticizing it and boy, it was a chore. The character moves way too slow and the jumping is so floaty that it was not fun to move around the world. This is particularly true because there is nothing going on. It's fine to have a game with no enemies or death traps, but if the gameplay is just going to be getting from point A to point B, you can't make it a hassle. Making a mistake would be a very time consuming issue as you try to climb back up. I would be interested in going around the world once color was added to see how it looks except that I can't be bothered to deal with the movement for that small payoff. I think this is the first game where I didn't explore because I didn't want to have to climb back up. (End part 1 of 2)

(Part 2 of 2) This also makes it frustrating that I can't pick up more than one object at a time. I got the balloon and thought "why not get the other low objects?" Nope, I have to go up and down several times. Ugh. You also need a longer music track. As good as it was, I was sick of it by the end after hearing it loop so much. The game had a few positives behind the dull gameplay though. I did love the music. I liked how each object added color to the world. That was the art in what otherwise looked like "yet another minimalist game". I liked how the boy started to fade out as I collected the objects. I like the story being about her letting go, and the symbolism of her releasing the dove. You have good stuff in there, but it's hiding behind an awful game.

Unfortunately the gameplay is incredibly bland, particularly next to the atmosphere (music/graphics/story-what little there is).

I see the boy either as a ghost or a sad/depressed side, that wants to cheer the girl up, but cannot interact with her, but the colors/moods that play on her emotional side.

I think that the best tag for this game would be philosophical, for as LittleHat and deathkknight said, this is a game that relates to life itself. The description and comments don't say enough. You have to play the game to fully understand it's meaning.

i think mostly the game did not make me cry, but after reading the explanations in the comments, that's were the emotions flowed.
music rocks as well

This has been the perfect game for teaching my grandpa the rudiments of using the arrow keys to move around a character. I really wish there were more games like this - bravo.

This is a beautiful game. Its short, but meaningful. as LittleHat said, the boy is trying to help her let go. Its like he's saying "I know, I'm dead, and you can't let go. But we've had good memories together, and its good to remember, but I won't rest until you are happy again." and like deathkknight said, the items represent the stages of life. This could mean that the boy is related to the girl, maybe the boy is her dad, because a father would experience the different stages of life with his son/daughter. I love the music too. Its a nice game altogether. Its about losing a loved one, being family or a person you loved a lot. But the guy loved the girl so much, he made her happy, with the good memories of him.

This game creates a complex story in a short and simple 5 minutes. As you run across this world, collecting items, you find color being breathed into it. As you go throughout, brightening this small world, it seems as if you begin to fade. The world becomes beautiful once more, and you fade into nothingness, disappearing from what you have made.
This shows a beautiful, yet tragic, story of the relationship between boy and girl. The fading boy and unresponsive girl show that the boy is, dead. The grey represents a feeling of emptiness after the death of this boy. And the boy, not content with his death perhaps, decides to search across this world, doing his best to give the one he loves one final gift. He scours the world, filling it with color once again as he attempts to bring it to a point where it can match her beauty in his eyes. With each piece of the puzzle he begins to fade, and at the end he is wiped away. His job was done, the game was won, and his story was over.

I'm almost positive this has nothing to do with ghosts. As far as I can tell the story is about a guy looking for a girl's attention. He goes around busting his ass collecting all these presents (I do think the gift progression might be accurate: the point probably is that he's been trying to get her attention since childhood) and things, trying to get her to notice him. He tries and tries and tries but she just keeps ignoring him no matter what he does. Finally in the end she understands what she's been missing and begins to look his way...by which point he's already gone out of her life, moved on. The color represents the color he brings to her world; before him her life was dull and grey, but his presence and the things he does for her brings happiness to her life. So in pop culture terms, this is a story of a guy being friendzoned by his long-term crush. That's a far, FAR more cohesive story than some thing about a ghost and mementos and crap.
