To me the boy is the lasting shadow of a boy that she loved hat has passed. She is sad and haunted by what could have been, and you are the boy that she loved restoring her life with love and happiness.

I think its about a boy who gives his girl of his dreams gifts she might like and she was always sad so he give the gifts and her world goes in color then when she finally likes him he dies. sad ending :(

I think what happens is, a boy (whom I named Billy Bob Joe) is running after a girl his whole life (the girl, I named her Theresa). But Theresa never notices Billy Bob Joe, because she is depressed. Billy Bob Joe gives her gifts after gifts, hoping she'll notice. The gifts are represented by colors, and as you give her more, the scene starts getting colorful, representing the passing of time (I think). Then, after she is ready to get out of depression, it's too late. Billy Bob Joe dies soon after she is happy. He dies sad, but at the same time happy. He is happy that his gifts took Theresa out of depression, but sad that he couldn't live with her, share a life with her. It's a great game! (Maybe if you make a Grey 2, it could be about the girl's experiences in depression and, in her mind because she's oblivious to the world around her, make her try to escape depression.)

im starting to get it when we whent to that grave that was ours we died and she is sad so we give her these idems so she can let go of us her worlds gray but we add the colour to her world so she can forget about us.

It is simply amazing how something like this doesn't need words to tell a story. It leaves things up for you to interpret, and that is beautiful.

They always met on that hill and that is where he gave her the gifts.The last gift he gave her before he died was a yellow flower,as demostrated by it being in front of the grave,he gave it to her, the last sign of love he ever gave her.After he died,her world became gray and she brought the gifts he gave her to the same place they met.She went through them, bringing color back to her grey world.The boy in the game fading is a way to symbolize the sadness fading.The dove landing by the girl symbolizes the peace that is being made inside her.When all the color has been brought back to her world,the boy fading away symbolizes she has learn to accept his death and move on. Based on LittleHat and deathkknight's explanation I believe the game is about a little boy as he grows old.You start at a certain location and the girl is looking in the direction of the grave.The red balloon,pink ribbon,purple lolllipop, and the brown teddy bear is what the boy gave her as a young boy,his love being kiddish.As he grew older he wanted to show his love so he went hunting for a green 4 leaf clover to give her.When he grew up to an adult he gave her a blue bead necklace.

Here's how I see it. A boy does everything for girl, but the girl does not notice, so as he brings her more of himself, he fades away in her eyes.

i don't think the boy is dead, i think she is bored and depressed with the colorless world so he brings color to her, but he is black and white in a more and more color world, so he begins to fade, then as she is finally interested in the world again he fades from the now colored world

I realized he grows more 'see through' with every object you turn in, and the yellow flower is by a grave, you can put two and two together and figure out that LittleHat's explanation is almost spot on.

This game is so sad, it deserves an award, it also deserves it's own catagory, I also think it should have something to kind of explain the meaning of each object for those who do not know.

THIS GAME IS SO BEAUTIFUL! *clears throat* Excuse my shout, but this game is one of my favorites, not on kong or in the art tab, but in the history of my gaming. Please, make more games like this beauty.

This game is so touching, It made me cry a little near the end. It also makes me think about the girl I love, of what might happen if me or even her died. A game like deserves a reward.

It could also be a story about not taking life for granted in that the boy continues to give the girl gifts but she continues to ignore him, as she has no reaction to the boy or his gifts until he hands her the last one. As emphasized by the tombstone by the yellow flower, it is too late. He is already gone.

Would if the girl of his dreams is actually his daughter and he is building the life around her, as parents do, and eventually she has to accept that he wont always be there? Because she appears just as lively at the end as at the beginning even as he is fading.

Nice graphics/music and easy game play. I'm not a fan of these games with a "message," but you didn't beat me over the head with it, so nice job.
