The Story Was Great I Could Almost Feel How The Girl Felt About Her BF Or Husband Dying (Even Though Im A Male) I Still Felt The Sadness.

It could also be that the boy was trying to impress the girl, but as he kept giving her gifts the gifts (represented by the colors in the world) overtook him and he slowly faded from her life.

This game is really beautiful, but the slow falling makes it tedious to play. It's probably meant to slow down the pace of the game, but it's just kind of irritating.

I accidentaly returned to this game after about two years. Still great. I regret not being able to rate it 5/5 for the second time.

So beautiful. I was thinking is was going in a whole different direction until I put the grave and the ending together. The creator is a bloody genius.

At first I was thinking 'oh, she's ignoring me... maybe she's mad at me?' And thought at first that the gifts I was giving had to do with apology, but then I noticed the subtle beginnings of the shadow effect on the main character... then, second to last gift I found, the flower next to the grave was that 'aha...' moment, and I realized that as the world was becoming more colorful and 'real' I was starting to be less and less a part of the real world, because I was dead.
Just try to make a movie or book where the protagonist is dead, and the hints are subtle enough, while the whole thing doesn't seem like a lazy writing choice. Good thing video games are now by law an art form.

It's a really nice game, but it's really long and the ending really short. Also, the map is incredibly big and easy to get lost in. But other than that, it's a good game that seems to have a very meaningful ending.

Absolutely incredible! The story is moving and the environment design is beautiful. I can't say it any better than the top comments. 5/5

To me the boy is the lasting shadow of a boy that she loved hat has passed. She is sad and haunted by what could have been, and you are the boy that she loved restoring her life with love and happiness.

I think its about a boy who gives his girl of his dreams gifts she might like and she was always sad so he give the gifts and her world goes in color then when she finally likes him he dies. sad ending :(

This game brought a tear to my eye. Great game. It shows what someone would do for someone they love even if it took their entire life

I think what happens is, a boy (whom I named Billy Bob Joe) is running after a girl his whole life (the girl, I named her Theresa). But Theresa never notices Billy Bob Joe, because she is depressed. Billy Bob Joe gives her gifts after gifts, hoping she'll notice. The gifts are represented by colors, and as you give her more, the scene starts getting colorful, representing the passing of time (I think). Then, after she is ready to get out of depression, it's too late. Billy Bob Joe dies soon after she is happy. He dies sad, but at the same time happy. He is happy that his gifts took Theresa out of depression, but sad that he couldn't live with her, share a life with her. It's a great game! (Maybe if you make a Grey 2, it could be about the girl's experiences in depression and, in her mind because she's oblivious to the world around her, make her try to escape depression.)
