That is a truly beautiful game. It's art, game, story and tragic all in one. It's so hard to find games like this on Kongregate. I highly recommend that Kongregate should have a separate part with sad games like Grey, The Majesty of Colors, The Company of Myself and Don't look back. I nearly cried when I saw the grave, the ending was so touching. I love the mixture of kid and adult mementos and how the boy slowly fades everytime you give an item to the girl. It seems simple but when you think about what it's about it's really quite complicated. Make more games like this please! I love the comparing dove to the man. Truly amazing (: 5/5

A beautiful peace of interactive art, no doubt about that. But as a game, it is rather lame. It is also neither adventure nor roleplaying game, but rather a slow paced, very simple jump and run with no danger to fail and no challenge except a little pathfinding.

I think the girl won't talk to the boy, who we'll call Grey, so he tries to tempt her with gifts, and like deathkknight said, goes through his life buying gifts for this woman he loves, shining light on her world until Grey is one of the only things with no colour, since he dedicated it to making this woman happy, thus not doing anything to help himself. In the end, when Grey and the girl are older, she finally has to admit that he can't buy her love, and Greyls like he is pointless without her, slowly fading away into nothing, since he never did anything with his life besides love the girl. That's my opinion, anyway. Great, beautiful game, 5/5.

i love the fact that with every happy moment he becomes blurry making it seem like she learned that he loves her and she needed to let him go in order to live a colorful happy life :') 5/5

This game is just too beautiful. And along with its principles, just goes too damn right.
In a way, this piece is a shiny golden grain of sand in a hole beach. For a flash game, it's great.
And I go even further: If the developer wanted to work more on it, maybe adding more compelling soundtrack along with more diferent songs, some artistic fixes, some more stage development, it could nicely fit the xbox live and playstation network.
I would love to see tthat happening.

Skinny, Coma, NightSky, Grey... all of these and more don't just give us 10 minutes of free entertainment, but leave an imprint on the soul. To me, CaveStory, Sulkies and Ikachan also have that kind of effect, but we all have different oppinions.

I didn't read the description til I was done. I thought the sad girl had an imaginary friend who slowly became less and less real to her even while the imaginary friend showed her how beautiful the real world could be. Similar to LittleHat's description.

i'll add some information about the story a little (my version)
just like what littlehat and deathknight said.
every gifts the boy give to her make the boy 'fade' from her memories. she remember how kind the boy was, giving everything she want, even to get trought some obstacle. then the girl remember to not give up like the boy and start adding color to her life more, and more. and when there's 2 gift left, you'll see some birds coming, mean she doesn't trapped in her sad memories anymore, and after there's 1 gift left, you'll see some butterfly mean she already forgetting the boy and going to start over. and at the last gift, the girl finally able to stand up by herself and forget about the past....

Um, whenever I play a game like this on kongregate, I know there's some sort of symbolic thing, and whoever posts it gets a ton of likes, so here goes... Uh, well, so, it's a lot like real life, because uh, when it started it was, uh grey, and, er, white, and um, something. But then some dude found flowers and brought them to some random... Woman, and colors appeared, and he died because er uh um.... Yeah, colors.
