I think it would have been cool to add words to it, like an actual story for every item you collected for her.. all in all, a great game i love the sunflower at the tombstone, im not sure but I think it was your/my grave.. it made me sad..

For anyone looking for more games in this category, I think clicking the "Good Music" tag would take you to more of the same.

the stories actually kinda sad.... the lovern the girl are stuck with requests with each other... the girl agrees if she gets her items back she'll love him..... but even though he adds color to the world giving gifts to the love.... but both of them know they will never have color, as to the name of the game "grey" 5/5 and good piano mix.

Big flaw that makes this game incomplete is that you can't explore the world with all the colors once you've gathered them because once you return the last color the game is over. I wouldn't argue this gives the game replay value either. Otherwise the game was okay, but runs a little slow. Some kind of challenge factor might have been nice, or actions to be taken.

also, i like how much thought was put into the items.. keeping it brief made it so that the girl couldve lost anybody- a father, a brother, a boyfriend.. nice touch..

Complete shite. According to this, to gain a girls attention I need to run around getting her stuff, what happened to attracting someone with your personality and having a meaningful relationship.
Piano music + greyscale does not = art. Last I checked, Kongregate was a game site, not a flash version of fkin Deviantart.

wow this game was utterly amazing i didnt think that at first the guy was dead i thought he was just doing something random but the more i played the more i understood and i gotta say i love how things turned out and im glad i played it. the music was so calming and the gameplay was fun, you did a great job of developing the story through the small objects that he gave the girl and how it looked before and after you collected the objects the story just unfolded itself through those. amazing work 5/5

If I was a developer this is the sort of game I'd dive straight into making, because it lets people think they're really deep and pretend they know anything about 'art'. It's far too vague for any interpretation to be satisfying, yet every one gets lauded whenever they give a 'profound' explanation for a narrative that can fit on the head of the pin. By increasing the number of items you had to find and doubling the speed of the character this game would be massively improved, and don't say it'll ruin the atmosphere or the symbolism, if making a game more enjoyable to play diminishes any artistic integrity that you think is present then maybe it shouldn't be an artistic game in the first place? Sorry, I'm being really negative! But I just get annoyed when people clamber all over these black-and-white, boy-and-girl, love-and-colour games as if they're a Rembrandt.
And it's a metaphor for gambling addiction.

The game is a series of cliches leading you to perform an elaborate fetch quest so you can be left with a cliche "you were dead the whole time" ending. No depth to the gameplay, no depth to the story, and a (granted, good) music sample on loop. This game has mountains of potential, but it feels like it was made with the least amount of effort. Having distinct areas for the colored items, changes in the music sample as you go to these different areas, changes to the player beyond just fading out (gameplay changes would have been nice), or basically any more depth placed into the game. I think you, as a developer, have the ability to do something great, but this is a test at best. 2/5

Didn't really feel like playing the game, but I've left this game on in the background for several hours, because the music is so relaxing.
