Honestly, I hated it. I love games that are philosophical, or that make the player think in creative ways. But to me, this just seemed tedious. If there was symbolism it must have been extremely subtle. As someone who loves to interpret and analyze, all I saw from this game was a character who moved too slowly to be fun, a bunch of random items to get a girl to notice him, a bizarre and, like the rest of the game, unexplained ending.
Not to mention the piano music which stopped being pretty after the 8th time it looped.

also based on littlehats explaination it seems you get progressively faster as you go along, i think its her life gaining momentum after the accident that caused the death of her love and she gets back on her feet (like at the end of the game)

Kind of wanted the girl to say something soft like: "I could only feel that nice breeze gusting over my braids of hair once again. I miss this person so incredibly much. I remember that day -- holding your hand, and embracing you... couldn't move on -- without you... and end up with something tragic to wrap up the series, like at the ending "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry that I had to leave you all this time... I'm sorry." Teardrops, anything to reflect the boy disappearing even more. It's still a great game. You really know how to do these things right.

such a deep meaning, and open interpretations. games like this should have been made since the start of flash video games

I nearly teared up at the beautiful story and music. As I played I saw that I was slowly fading away with each item i gave to the girl. I also liked how the bird came and she set it free afterward. This is a truly touching expirience. Thank you.

Beautifully visualised Kevin and very creative. Well done. I'd love to see more games like this. Have to agree with the other posters - this is Art and storytelling and beautifully drawn graphics that fit the mood of the game.

I feel that the game was based around love. The boy is doing alot to give her things she likes but is making himself weak for her in the process, while he is giving her world colour, the boy feels rejected and ends up leaving because he can not handle someone who is that sad... Little does he know, he gave the girl a better gift than everything combined.

This game is one of the most compelling, beautiful games i have seen in a while, this is art and simple flash games at their finest.

When you get a gift for the girl the boys character starts to fade away. The boys gives the colour to the girl. The girl is thinking and in her mind she still thinks that the boy is alive and she gets drowned out of the outer world into herself and boy tries to tell the girl its alright with gifts like a connection from ghosts. The girl wouldn't give up him but in the end she knew she had to let go. She starts to be aware of the outer world and as she is the boy fades away and the world comes back in with colour and life by the butterflies and fish. Very good game.

2 of the top comments are this game needs their own category... I certainly agree but there are too few of these types of games for there to be a category for these games and what would it be called? Sad games? I wish they made loads of these games but there are too few, if you enjoy these games do what I do go to the other games of the developer or play these games and and look at recommended games.
