I just got a blank screen with an Armor Games logo. I understand that you programmed gameplay, but if I can't actually play it, it's pointless. 1/5

It could also be a story about not taking life for granted in that the boy continues to give the girl gifts but she continues to ignore him, as she has no reaction to the boy or his gifts until he hands her the last one. As emphasized by the tombstone by the yellow flower, it is too late. He is already gone.

Would if the girl of his dreams is actually his daughter and he is building the life around her, as parents do, and eventually she has to accept that he wont always be there? Because she appears just as lively at the end as at the beginning even as he is fading.

Nice graphics/music and easy game play. I'm not a fan of these games with a "message," but you didn't beat me over the head with it, so nice job.

So how to put this is simple; The short story of a girl and the boy of his dreams... pretty much swapped. I like your thinking there, kevindoesart!

Another take on this is that you strive for the girl's attention at the beginning so you use all your time to get her what she wants, to make her life better. As you gather more items you help her see more beautiful things in life but your initial slow and cheerful stride, becomes fast, rushed. You as a player, may see the world in beauty but never stop to appreciate it, you have to strive to gather the attention of the girl. You go faster and faster, and you realize that you're fading away, that you're losing yourself and lose a grip on who you are quite literally. By the end you've helped the girl blossom, but at the price of your own livelihood, as you fade away from her existence. The moral from this perspective being, yes you can make a girl the happiest in the world, but you may lose yourself in the process. And if you're not around to appreciate the world and be happy too, you have to really ask yourself if it was worth it?

This game is amazing. I'm sure LittleHat and deathkknight wrapped it up pretty well. This game makes you realize how valuable life really is. It's beautiful, and the whole time I played it and was slowly realizing what was going on. I almost cried. Amazing. 5/5.

I consider this to be about a boy who fell in love with a very sad girl. He himself was sad, and saw the world as a sad, grey place. As he tried to make her happy with gifts, the love in him grew, giving color to the world. In the end he dies, but she remembers him lovingly, and she believes his soul to be free, and at peace, hence the dove.

Quite a few times I forgot what I was doing and just jumped around in time to the music, thinking about the girl and boy and sadness and just everything sad but sweet :'( loved this game

this is a good metaphor for the friendzone
you can give and give until there is nothing left of yourself
but she still wont notice you
